Peterman could very well end up as the franchise QB. You never freaking know.
But, Peterman could look like God in his rookie season and there is a 99% chance the Bills will still take a QB very high, if they end up picking very high in the 2018 draft.

No there aren't. The Jets are making a run, not the Bills. The Bills are hovering around 5 wins, not bad enough to get a top QB.
Tom Brady was a 6th round pick
Drew Brees was a 2nd round pick
Aaron Rodgers was drafted 24th overall
Joe Flacco was 18th overall
Big Ben was 11th overall
Kirk Cousins was a 4th round pick
Derek Carr was a 2nd round pick
You can get your franchise QB from almost any draft position. It's all about coaching a QB up, along with having talent. Is Dennison a good enough coach to coach up whatever QB the Bills bring in. That is the biggest question.

I'm not sure how the future looks so much brighter due to a 2nd round draft pick, vs a talented WR that finally looks to be healthy again. But Ok.

They don't trust Sammy staying on the field and Darby wasn't a fit.

We won't know the returns on these trades for a few years.
We can't get on a new regime for trading away players from previous failing regimes.

I just don't see Terrell Davis as an all time great - heck I think Priest Holmes was the better player. For those 3 years, Holmes was one of the best backs I've ever seen play.

Wrong. TD was the best player in the sport from 96-98 and was the catalyst for that Broncos team.
TD is one one of the top 10-15 RB's to ever play. Anyone would take him over Curtis Martin, for example.
His career was cut short, but there is no denying his greatness.
If you saw TD play, there is no other opinion on him. He is an all time great.

Let's worry about him beating what looks to be an all time bad team in Jets on opening day, then take it from there.

Watkins and Clay have to stay healthy.
A third receiving option needs to emerge.
Taylor needs to be a better thrower. 2 years of starting may help that.
Or this running game will amount nothing.
Also, a better tackling defense is the team's biggest weakness that needs to shore up or playoff talk is dead.
