I am getting tired of hearing the fire McDermott people. I don't think they have a grasp of reality. It is tough to win in the NFL.
Even the great BB in his first 5 seasons as a head coach in Cleveland made the playoffs only once and went 1-1, the following year he missed the playoffs and Cleveland ran him out of town, how do you think Cleveland feels about that now.
Tom Landry, certainly a great coach, didn't even have a winning record for his first 6 seasons. In his first 4 seasons making the playoffs he was 1-4. Didn't win his 1st SB until his 12th year coaching, then won a second in year 18 so it took him another 6 years to get back to the SB.
Then there is the great and powerful Andy Read. In his first 14 seasons as a head coach with Philadelphia he made the playoffs 9 times and his record was 10-9, going to the SB just once and losing. Philadelphia ran him out of town and he went to KC. Even in KC he made the Playoffs 5 of his first 6 years and his record was 2-5. So in his first 14 playoff seasons his record was 12-14 which is basically the same win percentage as McDermott. It was not until his 21st season as a head coach that he won a SB. Philadelphia gave up on him, they probably regretted it for a while, KC stayed with him even though his playoff record was 2-5 in 6 seasons and now Andy Read is basically considered God of all the coaches.
It obviously took Read many seasons to learn and get it right. I'll stick with McDermott because I think he will get it right sooner or later.
Oh, and one more. The great John Madden, second best win percentage ever. In his first 7 seasons he made the playoffs 6 times and his record was 5-6, sound familiar.
None of what you listed had Josh Allen as their QB, making this long post pointless

Think im actually sitting this one out. After watching the Pats every year, now the obnoxious Mahommes family with an extra serving of Tay Tay, I think I will pass. In addition, the commercials during the nightly news are better than the SB commercials now days, and let's not even talk about halftime performers

Appreciate the post, disagree heavily about the defense though. McDermotts defense is barely noticeable in the playoffs. All the high round draft picks, trades, FA $ tied up in the D.....completely useless come playoffs. I'm so done with trying to focus on our defense, watching our WRs just drop balls all over the place because they have been the last line of focus for Beane/McDermott. With Josh Allen as your QB, it goes against all common sense and even to the seasoned football watcher on the field

Lions fans can't be used to this. We know how nerve wracking this is. Poor bastards.
When was their last major loss that is as of our normal routine? I feel bad for them lol

Lions players look defeated on the sidelines

Wow. Lions with a masterclass in giving a game away. Reynolds drop, unlucky bounce, bad fumble. That's how you erase a 14 point lead in two minutes.
It all started by being too aggressive on a 4th down that should have been a field goal attempt

Oh boy, we all know the pain Detroit fans are about to experience

Can I just ask why most are supporting the Lions over the Niners? Is it because you feel they're a better fit against the Chiefs? Or cos they're a franchise like the Bills?
The team and fans have never won 1. I can't understand why you wouldn't want a long time suffering fan base to not get to experience it over another teams umpteenth SB just because we haven't. That's as selfish and sour as one can get

Let's go Detroit! I'm not going be the person that dont want other qbs to win one before Josh or not want a team and fans that has never won 1 to not get theirs because we don't have one. I don't understand that logic, wanting suffering fan bases to suffer more just because we have to even if it means another team getting their umpteenth SB. I hope the Lions win it all since our Bills is out and their fans are able to experience what it's like. Maybe one day it will be our turn, but it's not this year.

Wow, it's a good thing Mahomes hopped because if his legs were planted that could have been bad.
That just depends on what you consider to be "bad"

All that will be remembered to this point will be how the Bills failed in the playoffs every year with Josh Allen as the Bills qb, with 13 seconds being the highlight of it.
