  1. I have a soft spot for the Browns and follow them during the year. Pulling for the Patriots or Dolphins or just jumping on some teams bandwagon I agree though is unacceptable.

Yes nothing wrong with rooting for a 2nd team. Assuming you really have a 1st team.

I am as die hard as any fan ever has been for Bills and Bills are #1 forever.

But I also like the Jets and Cards and root for them all the time, unless if it is detrimental in any way for Bills playoff hopes etc etc.......however it is never passionate like it is with Bills winning or losing. Just seeing Bills logo or hearing about Bills gets me fired up for games.

Fans that change teams every year or so are not invested and passionate about any team and don't realize the joy we get when our adopted team wins.

  2. With the passing of Tom Modrak today it brought to light yet another side of Russ Brandon that is deplorable. You see, good old Rusty has a penchant for coming up with crafty nicknames for his coworkers.

He referred to Tom Modrak as "T-Mo."

Yes that is correct, "T-Mo." In the past Russ has referred to Doug Marone as "Dougie" and Doug Whaley as "Whales." When the Sabres honored Brian Gionta recently for some reason they released a statement from Russ Brandon where he referred to Gionta as "Gio."

Memo to "Rusty" or "RB" or whatever nickname you give yourself,

You are nothing more then a carnival barker. Stop making up stupid nicknames for your coworkers. Your act has worn extremely thin in this town and most of the sensible Bills and now Sabres fans would love to send you packing. The Bills have sucked during your time with the team and you are never held accountable even though you are the Managing Partner and President. Go away and take your stupid nicknames with you.

    Mr Mullet needs a haircut.

  3. Everyone here wishes they were Mccoy... Lots of jelly in this thread.

OH HELL no. NO NO NO.

If anyone was able to wish themselves to be someone it sure as hell would not be McCoy.

It might be to wish to be a genuinely good guy with McCoy's talents, but not Shady himself and all his baggage. I am not saying he is even close to the worst NFL baggage player, but we would all wish to be better.

  4. These players want it all. According to report Cheap Shot Sherman asked for trade than pretty much denied it to media.

Then report is he would only accept trade to contender.

Teams should not bow down to players like this. If he wants a trade he has a right to ask for one. Hawks should then be able to trade him to whoever offers best deal.

I would make a bad GM. If player asks for trade when he has a no trade clause I would say sure. Waive the no-trade and I will trade you to team who offers the best deal. Otherwise go pound sand.

If Cheap shot Sherman does not have a no trade clause I would have already traded him and let the new team worry about if he will report.

  5. You guys remember a game maybe in the early 2000's where the final score was 3-0 Packers won. I remember you guys moved the ball actually but couldnt punch it in the red zone. The Bills should have had 20 points that day and my Packers didnt play very well at all. Favre was our QB then and Bledsoe was starting for the Bills. You guys remember this game?

I remember that game. It was 3-0 Pack in 4th Q when a Bills db intercepted Favre near goal line and ran it back 90+ yards for a TD to take a 7-3 lead. To then of course have a flag thrown that really was a very questionable call that clearly happened after the INT to of course have the officials say it was before the int giving the ball back to Favre who then threw a TD= game over. FU officials.

    Anyone remember this..

  6.

It's funny that his rep caused this story.

Considering the quality of veteran backs out there begging for work it would be nice if the $9M cap figure RB could see fit to not be the only no-show to the new coaches first OTA.

Hopefully he'll be in tomorrow.

You can take the player out of Philly but you can't..............................

Classic comeback. HOF worthy. Thanks OHIO. :worthy:

  7. @AdamSchefter

It's not just FOX in pursuit of Cowboys QB Tony Romo; it's also CBS making a strong push to add him to its team, per sources.

This could be posturing to force Cowboys hand as Cowboys did not want to release him.

No one would retire and walk away from some deferred or other future money or be subject to paying back some sign bonus. Except Barry Sanders, who of course, probably had no idea and was stunned when courts ruled he had to pay back millions in sign bonus.

If Romo goes and talks to Favre for advice.......he could resurface several times yet.

  8. That chaplain should have been fired immediatly after he told Rex not to challenge an obvious wrong call. Contributed to the loss that day. Good riddance dumb ass. Go coach a high school team if you think that is your calling.

Nothing wrong with that...that's not "scheduled," it's organic. I'm not calling for a ban on prayer...just on an organization - or government, while we're at it - obviously sponsoring one religion.

A Chaplain is for all religions.

  9. Bruce Arians: "Only 1 draftable QB ready to start".

    Who is he referring to?

    1. Trubisky.

    2. Watson.

    3. Kizor.

    4. Mahomes.

    5. Webb.

    6. Kaaya.

    7. Peterman.

    8. Evans.

    9. Kelly.

    10. Other.

Holy Mel Kiper this Arians dude is going out on a limb here. Check 2013. O were ready to start and none ready at all as it turns out.

So Coach Arians. Who is it??

  10. They've been talking about a new stadium for over 10 years now.

They could have raised ticket prices $5-20 each depending on where the seats are way back then. Plus find ways to take percentages from here or there or whatever and start building a pot vs lining pockets with millions of dollars each year.

The city could have started a stadium tax so minimal you wouldn't notice.

But it sound to me there has been zero planning or effort to gain a new stadium. If this team would have done that I bet they could have in more than half way paid off. Paid for....

Pegs do not need to save their nickels for a stadium fund. They already have enough liquid cash then half the countries in the world. They will not have any problem forking over their share for the stadium when the time comes. I mean they wrote a check for 1.4 billion to buy the team. No loan! No financing! No interest! They are pocketing yearly profit from Bills.

  11. I don't give a damn what Terry and Kim say. I guess some of you still believe the media and in Santa and the easter bunny. Buffalo aka WNY, can NOT afford a new stadium, sorry no. Fans in WNY can't afford PSL's and jacked up ticket prices, parking prices etc.

Now all of a sudden the NFL dude says its right for the Pegulas to back off working on a new stadium for awhile? Sorry folks am an old realist and right now, in light of THREE Teams moving, I say the plan is to move to Toronto.

The NFL wants a team there badly, they can support the new stadium, will pay to get the Bills there and it makes the NFL more money. If you buy this Bull crap of "oh they have the greatest fans, they have history there blah blah blah" I don't know what to tell you.

The NFL does not give one S#@! about us the fans, they don't care about the history of Buffalo. They care about money, and if they get a new stadium in a big new market by moving the Bills, the Bills are gonna move no matter what the Pegulas say publicly.

No go ahead and rant and whatnot on this thread, it won't matter in the long run if you do or don't. I am just looking at a financial reality with the NFL, and the WNY market.

You have not heard? The Packers are moving to Toronto because that is what Goodell wants.

Terry Pegula is going to be co-owner with Goodell. They will be officially corporately known as the Toronto Pegasus. They will be known as and go by the Toronto Pegs.

Like the NY Metropolitans go by NY Mets.

Bills are not on list for potential moves any more than Packers.

Packers would be the ideal move however if you want to compare. The ownership by community model of Packers means they technically can not move. They would need to dissolve the corporation and cease to exist(including Packers name)and players dispersed in a draft. Then NFL could ask for bids for expansion team. Maybe make exception and let current players go to expansion team. This would increase the windfall they would be getting substantially with good players coming along and all cites could bid. Mexico Canada Japan Europe, London Toronto Portland San Antonio.

If we are just talking about NFL wanting money then this is the logical and next move. Billions for the expansion bid as cities line up. Meets objectives NFL has now. Kill the community ownership model Packers were grandfathered in, new stadiums, get out of small markets, expand internationally, make billions more $$$$ more, etc etc etc.........No brainer in your world of thinking. Packers make very very little profit.

  13.

Mark... One day... Terry (and even Kim) will die. You think we'll get lucky again?

No luck needed. Pegs and Kim have already stated several times that family succession is in place. First all to Kim then on down to kids.

Also, a lot of people forget the Rams originated in Cleveland. So the Rams and the old Browns (now Ravens) both left Cleveland.

LA lost Chargers, Rams, and Raiders. They also lost the Rams to Anaheim.

  14. Washington owner does not want to Ronald McDonald tribute this year.

Evidently their clown owner (who objects about derogatory nicknames for HIS ethnic group) does not want Ketchup and Mustard color uniforms,

    http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/redskins-propose-rule-to-not-wear-color-rush-uniform-because-its-garish/

    .

I hate color rush also however not as much as I hate a team nickname called the Washington Racial Slurs.

PS: the Washington DC's whole uniform needs a makeover yesterday

  15.

I got to Vegas once a year on business. Usually stay 2 or 3 days & it is torture. I got to sit thru all these boring meetings when I all I want to do is hit the black jack & craps table & drink myself into a coma. We always end up taking some of our colleagues out to dinner after the meetings & to a person, all of the people I work with that live there have told they never ever ever venture down to the strip. All of them say they can't stand it. My boss & I just look at each other like "are these people crazy?" But I do find it interesting how some of the locals feel about the strip & their disgust for it.

Locals almost everywhere you go in US complain about and hate something local. It is just in our American nature to complain about something and speak out without holding much back. It is good mostly and at times bad also.

I prefer this over countries that locals stew quietly or are not allowed to voice their opinions.

  16. Found a great site.

    https://overthecap.com/compensatory-draft-picks-cancellation-chart/

As you will see the Justin Hunter signing we had counting as a FA loss for compensatory picks. But just a completely Billsy thing to happen is, he is one, One!!! spot off from counting as a loss in the calculations. You must rank 977 or better and he ranks 978.

EJ manual we had also thought would count and he is further down yet.

  17. Raiders can say goodbye to Lynch playing for them.

    No so fast.

Raiders say they will play in Oakland for two more yrs until upgrades are avail at UNLV, then one or two? yrs at UNLV until new stadium is done.

Skittles(Lynch) likely will not play 3 more years. Even if he does, he likes to party, so Vegas is his type of town.

  18. Phins are all set at LB with Kiko. That's all they need at the position...or on the whole defense.

    Ha ha the Legend continues.

Kiko is like the one ship Navy theory I heard a comedian use in his act.. We have always heard how the US Navy is building a ship that will do the job and replace 10 ships etc etc.......so eventually they will build a ship that will replace all the other ships. Wola we have "The One ship Navy".

Works for Air Force too. That 1 plane is going to be bad ass.
