Did here a few months ago... was with Directv for 17 years. What a great move. Directv was $100 a month for a basic service, I ditched the Sunday Ticket years ago. No longer needed it in this day and age.

So I bought a Ruku smart tv, a 60 mile range antenna (very flat in Florida, get almost a hundred channels on that alone), and signed up for Slingtv. Sling is $25 a month ($28 after taxes and whatever) and has all of the channels me and the wife like, and also has NFL Network. The same @#%# we were watching for $100. And more. AMC, Food Network, Nat Geo, History, Travel... on and on, same ones we had with Directv. Lots of movie channels.

Anyone else here done the same or something similar? If so, any good tips on what to download? There is a !@#$ ton of free stuff out there, looking for recommendations.

I was thinking about changing but you can't get Mets games on Sling.p.s.-My bill is 138 with two genie boxes..they gave me the sports channels for free.

Anyone plan attending any games this year?  Haven't been out to Citi Field since 2015.

Last year they were just depressing and it felt like every other train from Jersey stalled into the City

Hopefully in Toronto..they will be up there on the 3rd and 4th of July. Not sure when they will be in Pittsburgh..that's where I usually catch them.No trip to NYC for me this year..with a bad back..the 7 hour drive is to much these days..

He's getting a second chance.  But his first chance hasn't borne him out to being anything close to a dependable #3.

I guess you missed the he was injured all year part? He toughed  it out..took the needle every week because we were so thin at the flanker spot..almost NY Giants type thin.and to label him as a 6th on the depth chart is just plain silly..you don't just toss away a second round pick with only one year under his belt as if he was yesterday's news...

I think he's the best QB in the draft.  Has an arm like Rodgers.  Only thing I question is his football IQ?  Hard to dissect that on tape.  Assuming that is good,  i'd say trade up and pull the trigger on this guy.

What would you give up to get him?

i swear pizza delivery drivers in Buffalo make so much $$$ if your at a good spot lol

my friends kid makes almost 50 grand a year as a driver lol

When I worked at Chevy..a fella from La Nova would have a full car load of deliveries for our 9pm lunch break. I used to always give a fin for a tip..for sheet pizzas/wing buckets..would all chip in 5 each as well...guy probably left with about a 100 bucks tax free for one stop..6 nights a week.Sure he made stops to Dunlop and Dupont as well .Tax Free baby...

Why are the slim to none. Because trades NEVER happen in Draft. Teams NEVER move into top 3 to pick a QB.

And I havent mentioned TT in any of these posts have I

Hey..I want a QB change as well...and of course..drafts get screwy.However..just brace yourself like I already have done. The odds of us making a big splash don't add up.If we didn't have dire needs at WR,RG,LB and the D-line....hell,go for it!!!!! Shoot for the stars...OBD did say...trust the process. How did J-ville get so deep last season with that QB?

I agree. I framed that statement specifically because there seem to be alot of people here that think we cant get players anywhere else but the draft and we should not move up for a legit QB because of that

I think 99% of the community knows how you feel about Taylor..let it go and face the facts..the odds of moving up for one of the media proclaimed golden arms are slim and none...if I was a gambling man I would say the house has 3 to 1 odds that TT will be your starting QB next September..with maybe a kid like White drafted to learn the growing pains.

Imagine Curry playing DE with Star "Declining Production Since 2014" Lotulelei at DT and Paul "Go from a Winner in Seattle to Buffalo" Richardson at WR.  CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right on...as far as Richardson is concerned he will now want # 2 WR  money and let's face the facts..he's a #3 and we already have that in Jones.

I saw somewhere Teddy Bridgewater can be had for a 4th rounder but so far no takers.

    Could be waived

    Wants a 2 year deal

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/03/04/report-handful-of-teams-see-teddy-bridgewater-as-potential-starter/

11fumbles in two years..ran the ball nearly 90 times during that period..and now he has one knee. The 4th round pick wouldn't be bothersome but the money would be...because he would be a plan B on any roster..outside of Cleveland...if they end up with another Johnny football first round pick.

And this is why Vargas was added. Our once promising lefty can’t get his **** together.

I doubt we here any more talk about Wheeler ending up in middle relief with the Jacob setback and the Matz struggles.I am not to hip on Vargas..his career ERA is mid 4.

  12. 11 minutes ago, Another Fan said:

Heard he missed again.  Not sure if he'll be ready for opening day.

Another tough one for Matz.  It's Spring Training but he's been having a tough time

Thanks..not what I wanted to hear though.

Chark has very quick feet.....and just a lot more athleticism than Stephen Hil.........but Randy Moss had an incredible catch radius..........Chark's catch radius has been very small and in the NFL DB's will be close enough to get into his body and knock the ball away.......so you really need to be able to extend and hopefully high point the ball to really be a good starting WR.   He may get a bump up the board because of character/work ethic and of course his special teams ability........but it's concerning that he made it this far and still wasn't catching the ball with his hands going into his draft year.

I 100% disagree ..you need to look at his video again..some of his over the head catches were amazing..great breakaway speed and a nice set of ten fingers..very seldom do I miss a ellessuu game.Baton Rouge Baby!

Hello everyone and welcome to Frankly Speaking.

Frankly Speaking is straight talk about the Buffalo Bills, the team that put the “We” in Weenie.

    D9DRZGg.jpg

(For those that don't know me the notion that this is a “column” is tongue in cheek. I am not trying to pretend I am a sportswriter here).

There may be a few posts from me along these lines, which is about things that I think are wrong with the league. Almost nobody will like them or agree. I know that going in!

I will get to my topic for this post in a minute but first a little background. I think my anger started to from several years ago. The year, 2014. EJ is struggling some so I asked my friend who are the Qbs in the draft who look the most like pro prospects to you? My buddy's only qualification is that he watches a lot of college football.

He said Carr and Garopolo. Both of those guys went in the 2nd round. He was correct about both of them. He said that he thinks teams are shying away from Carr because his brother didn't pan out, as ridiculous as that sounds.

In 2014 teams took Blake Bortles, Johnny Manziel, and Teddy Bridgewater in the first round.

We took Cyrus Kouandjio in the 2nd. (After trading up for Sammy in the 1st)

I have had a long time to think about that and it is festering. Each year since, my buddy, who sits and watches TV, out performs the teams and the pundits. This bugs me.

I have learned to question the NFL and the decisions that they make. I do not now automatically defer to their expertise.

Which leads me to my main topic that NFL teams routinely pretend to have a legitimate chance to win. They know, or they should know, that they can't. I don't really blame them too much for that. It is show business after all.

What I blame them for is that they don't do anything about it. They don't try. They don't want to look stupid. They don't want to get fired. Or they are not even smart enough to try.

Half the teams in the NFL can't win big because they haven't got a good enough passing game. Where is the innovation? Where is the effort? Where is the creativity?

Why do they even have half these quarterbacks out there?

Not to pick on Tyrod but he is the one I know best. Tyrod throws 20 yards or more about 15% of the time. Usually he is throwing the ball about 7 yards, which is 21 feet. Most of the time his job is to hand the ball to Shady or someone else.

My thought is, what is he doing out there? Most of the time he does nothing besides hand the ball to somebody. Couldn't a smart offensive guru get more use out of that 11th spot?

Do we need a highly skilled superb master athlete to throw the ball 20 feet?

They don't want him to run all the time because he will get hurt.

So, why doesn't anybody maybe try having another running back, who can also throw the ball 20 feet? I bet there are plenty of them who could do it. That way he could run any time because he would be sturdy enough to handle the tackling.

What about two fullbacks to clear the way? A direct snap to the running back and two fullbacks in front and lets see you stop them. How about an extra road grading offensive lineman out there to overpower a defense?

How about doing something, besides nothing, about the problem?

I am no offensive expert at all but it seems to me that these guys who make millions of dollars because they are so smart at designing an offense, should be able to try something.

Instead they put guys out there to pretend to be something they are not.

What about if you don't have Aaron Rodgers on your team, you stop running the show as if you do?

And then they make excuses. And then say how hard it is to find a franchise qb.

How about you try something else for a change?

At least it wouldn't be boring, and you wouldn't know the outcome of the season before it even started.

Don't cry over spilled milk..most of the issues that have bothered you in the past have been addressed. We got that 500 pound gorilla of our backs when we made it to the playoffs..now we are loaded with new fresh staff, beaucoup draft picks and 30 mill in savings for more fresh blood and talented flesh. The future is bright...enjoy the sunshine.

The other fact of the matter is everyone has a plan til the bullets start to fly.

They may plan to move up, but other teams may have the same plan and offer better compensation.  They may plan to sign Keenum/Bradford/McCarron ect but so will other teams. Takes 2 to tango. So once the bullets start they just have to be aggressive in 45 different directions and see what transpires. And whatever QB they end up with, chances are half the fanbase will complain that it wasn't "their guy" anyways. Football is hard.

Yes sir...any solid GM  in the league should be able to greatly improve a team when it owns 5 picks in the first three rounds..hopefully the scouting staff is burning the midnight oil.
