We'll definitely get a guy as insurance in FA and/or Draft someone in the mid Rounds. I think AJ coming back is way more likely now that Von did what he did.

But I don't see any way we're going to go out and get a Superstar that guarantees Von won't reach the incentives he conceded to and guarantees he has no chance of earning his job back.

Don't the Bills play 2 DEs on the D at any given time? Why can't Von and Mack/Bosa be on the field at the same time?

I think people forget that Trubisky has some good upside and got to the playoffs with the Bears. I think he is a solid back-up that you can trust to come in and win you a couple of games if need be.

Plus, he is a good friend of Josh and can help Josh when it comes to the mental side of the game and breaking down opponents. That in itself would be worth its weight in gold.

I think you forget that he didn't get a single victory in the games he was asked to play last season

I’m bored with the off-season and don’t care about this Super Bowl. For fun: if you were the owner of the bills what color combination would you want? I came across this tonight and I have to admit, it’s a good look.

As an aside, I used to be a die hard Mets fan, and was always a fan of Mahomes Sr.

I think I was always drawn to these middle relievers for some reason— loved guys like Turk Wendell, Dennis

Cook, and Armando Benitez from those late 90s Mets teams too!

As a Mets fan I'll give you Turk. But Benítez was a rollercoaster I did not enjoy. Mahomes had a 5 era if I recall correctly. I wasn't a fan of that either.

Read em and weep. 2nd and 2 from the Buf 33 at 13:38 Cook  -3 yards

1st and 10 from the Buf 20 after the kc fumble to touch back James Cook -4

1st and 10 from the kc 27 Cook 1 yard.

Dude averaged -2 in the clutch.

Hall of famer Steve Young comes to say Allen is asked to do too much and all you guys think is he needs pass catchers. Kelly said it the year before. Guess what, even Beane doesn't ask him to catch passes.

Furthermore, entering Allen's 7th year the regime has yet to provide him with a backfield mate. I think it's high time the fans quit giving these guys a pass. How about a little effort.

1 game is more important than an entire season. I didn't say Cook was a beast. I said he has done more running this season than in seasons past. He took some not all of the load off Josh.

    harty is JAG.

Shorter was not called up when we were desperate at WR.

Shakir is a slot who should stay a slot @ #3 - that's not an insult. It's where he thrives.

right? and wouldn't that frustrate someone who is remotely aware? i'm sure he's frustrated with everything because i'm sure he understands where he is and where the team is.

further - thinking Shakir can just suddenly burst up to the #2 WR is a bit much.

Shakir was drafted to replace Cole and from the looks of it he may be able to settle into that role. He's a slot not a 2.

Finally got a chance to rewatch the game. I am fairly certain this was by far the most passive defensive game plan that Spags has put together for the Chiefs vs Allen. In the 2020 AFC championship, he brought a bunch of pressure. He's done the same in many of the matchups afterward with a variety of creative and well-timed blitzes. This time, basically nothing. In 39 pass plays, the Chiefs barely ever pressured Allen and many times it was by design. D-Linemen were occasionally not even rushing and just trying to bat the ball down at the LOS. KC kept taking away the deep and intermediate routes and testing Josh's discipline to remain patient.

Despite running just 44 plays (kneel downs not included), the Chiefs had eight 20+ yard plays.

In 78 plays, the Bills had zero.

The game plan worked but was technically a failure. The Bills had three chances to hit on a deep ball but misfired on all of them. There was the Diggs pass deep downfield isolated on a safety. There was Shakir in the end zone. There was the throw downfield to Sherfield that was nearly caught. Catches on any of those three could have swung the game in Buffalo's favor.

Obviously a loss is a loss, but Spags' apparent plan was to patiently wait for Josh to get impatient and hand them a game-altering turnover and he didn't give them one.

The run game stopped that style of play. In ask the previous matchups the Bills couldn't/wouldn't run
