  1. Diehard 8-Year-Old Buffalo Bills Fan Showing Early Signs Of Masochism

WEST SENECA, NYExpressing a mixture of alarm and heartache over the boys recently discovered disorder, the parents of diehard 8-year-old Buffalo Bills fan Cody Brenner told reporters Tuesday that their son had begun showing early signs of masochism. A year ago we identified the first stages of his condition, and its been absolutely devastating as a parent to see our little boy struggling with something like this, said the boys mother Julia, noting with sadness that the little boys self-flagellation includes watching the entirety of every Bills preseason game, regularly checking their official team Twitter page, and, in perhaps the most tragic and definitive confirmation of his disorder, recently purchasing a Tyrod Taylor poster to proudly display in his bedroom. I thought something might be wrong when Cody made himself so angry by obsessively rewatching clips of the Bills blowing late-game leads last year, but it was his insistence that theyre going to be good this season in the face of all objective reasoning that confirmed his masochism for me. I want to help him, but weve been told theres very little we can do. I just hope he can stay strong, because he will most likely be dealing with this for the rest of his life. The boys grief-stricken mother added that it was hard not to blame the boys condition on his father, a sadist who likely inflicted his longtime Bills fandom on his son.

    Hilarious!

  2. I have to start off saying I loved BOTH Watkins and Darby ....

But looking at both trades, we get a CB of equal talent, a WR with better stats and who has proven to be more durable, and the Rams second round and Eagles third round picks.

    I'm on board.

I agree. It's tough to see good, young players shipped out. From a purely production standpoint they were replaced.

What we lose is the elite potential, which is why we got the draft picks. Those picks come with their own potential, time will tell. What was it Parcells said about potential?

  3.

When passing into the end zone from the 2 yard line, it's likely that PI occurred in the end zone. So yes, the ball is placed at the 1. It's a coincidence that that's also half the distance, but you're right - PI isn't a "half the distance" penalty.

I'm guessing the penalty only moved the ball one yard, so the extra point would be snapped from the 14-yard line. But it wouldn't surprise me if it was at the 15 yard line, or the 7.5 yard line instead.

  4.

Yeah, that's how I see it as well. 6-6 in games not involving the Jets and Fish. The odd thing is that the Bills play the Fish in weeks 15 and 17. Pretty good bet the Fish are already long out of the playoff hunt by then. They might even be on their 3rd QB.

Yeah, but odds are we are going 0-2 against the Pats* which means we now need to go 6-4 in non-division games

  5. What's the weakest position on the team is an irrelevant data point. If your team is All-World, you still have a weakest position on the team.

The question is how does this position compare with the other 31 teams? I'd guess it's not horrible, maybe in the range of 15th to 20th in the league, because there are plenty of teams that are hurting at right tackle. For most teams, the position is always a work in progress. Bengals starting right tackle has four career starts in two seasons, for example.

The problem with right tackle is that if you have someone good, he moves to play left tackle, on your team or another team. The result is that the starting right tackle on most teams changes every year or two or three. The Bills have a Mills, a guy with good experience, Dawkins, a guy with a pretty high rating coming out of college, and Henderson, a guy who can play but with questions about him. That's about as much as you can expect at right tackle. It isn't a dumpster fire.

    A voice of reason

  6. We have season tickets to Air Force football games. Robinette has been the entire passing offense the past couple seasons. We will severely miss him come Saturdays this Fall. Not super fast, but decent speed. He had to run block, or go deep on just about every play. Pretty good a jump balls. Most of his long catches were a result of the opposing defense selling out to stop the run.
