  1. We need to call Jeff Tuel up and let him get a “fair shake” too while we are at it- poor guy wasn’t given a whole season to show his stuff.

look, I’m sure Nate is a good guy, and probably a better QB than we have seen, but he needs to take the opportunities he gets and run with them. He’s got to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that he’s better than what we have/had at starter. He did not. Perhaps next time- if there is a chance- he can do it... but he has shown nothing to this point that he is the future HOF QB for the Bills. We have a potential prospect in a Rookie via the draft, and McCarron. They’ll go to camp and the best prostpect will start. Peterman has until then to show us something we haven’t seen yet.

Browns are not trading out. They already have too many picks. Why would they want more picks?

    • 1st Round: No. 1 overall
    • 1st Round: No. 4 overall
    • 2nd Round: No. 33 overall (1st in round)
    • 2nd Round: No. 35 overall (3rd in round)
    • 2nd Round: No. 64 overall (32nd in round)
    • 3rd Round: No. 65 overall (1st in round)
    • 4th Round: No. 101 overall (1st in round)
    • 4th Round: No. 123 overall (23rd in round)
    • 5th Round: No. 138 overall (1st in round)
    • 5th Round: No. 159 overall (22nd in round)
    • 6th Round: No. 175 overall (1st in round)
    • 7th Round: No. 219 overall (1st in round)

This list shows them as having their 3rd rounder they gave to us for Tyrod- is this list correct aside from that?

  3. So the Jets did what they did... I can’t fault Indy for doing it either since they’re still going to get their guy most likely at 6 since everyone else is fighting it out for QBs in the top 5.

Its going to take a hell of a lot to get to #2 now. Maybe too much... and #1 is out of the question. Since Cleveland has the draft capital and many holes to fill, would a trade for #4 be a possibility? I’d imagine with all the QB craziness that Cleveland would absolutely get their QB at #1. Giants MIGHT roll QB #2, and the Jets obviously would. If the Giants decide to get Barkley at #2, do we send Cleveland some picks for #4?

I cant imagine Cleveland passing Barkley if he’s there at 4. If Darnold and Rosen are taken 1&3, we can get Mayfield (or Allen, but not my preferred choice) at 4. Obviously this is a draft day type of trade, but if this plays out I can see Beane making some phone calls to Cleveland. What would it take to get 4? Both firsts and maybe a later second?

  4. I’m not too keen on Ivory as our starting RB- we aren’t getting Barkley so there’s no way I’d entertain this. We will have our QB in the draft and we will have a Vet of some kind to hold the fort down until he’s ready.

if Philly won’t part with Foles for a second he can remain there- they may need him week one anyway.

I’m sorry if I got too excited for you all, I’m sorry I do this from a phone and not a full sized keyboard and have fat fingers. I won’t apologize for loving the bills and seeking a common forum. I guess I should just enjoy it with friends and family, as I’ve done for years and leave this forum to the uninviting, uninspiring group of internet know it alls that most of you come off as. Best fan base my ass. Just as jaded an vindictive as the next.

    you gonna be ok?

  6. Nothing but respect for the guy. I hope you do well in Cleveland. He could still help the Bills by stealing some wins from Baltimore and Pittsburgh and helping our playoff chances indirectly.

He dealt with some crap during his time here, and he took it in stride and remained a professional. Thank you Tyrod for giving it your all- best wishes.

  7. I’m excited to see where the Bills go from here- they obviously have some sort of plan in mind. Id prefer to find “our guy” to stick around for 15+ years, so whatever it takes to get there is fine by me. Would it be nice to get a vet QB and keep as many picks as possible? Sure, if it makes sense. As it stands, we have the resources to get whoever we deem worthy... it’s up to McDermott and Beane to get this right.

...and with that, I’d like to thank #5 for being a class act and doing his thing. He helped end the drought and put us into a position to get a potential long term answer for our position. Thank you Tyrod.

  8. If you had asked me even 8 weeks ago which QB from the Vikings was going to be on another team next year, I’d have bet the farm on Keenum. At this point, after this game, there is no way they let him go.

Bradford, while a good QB, is guaranteed to miss 3 games a season minimum due to an injury. Bridgewater was looking good prior to his injury, but nobody knows how good he can play because Keenum has proven to be capable of leading this team, and has not not needed to relinquish his hold on the position.

At this point, they have to know that he has the support of his team- look where they are thanks in part to him. Even if they had doubts before, that whole team has to be on board with Keenum for today and for the next season. He’s earned it.

that being said, I don’t believe we would go after either of the other Minnesota QBs at this point. Keenum is the only one we would likely consider of the three.

  9. From ESPN:

Statement from Bills owner Terry Pegula on firing of GM Doug Whaley this morning: "After a thorough review of our football operations over the past several months, Kim and I informed Doug this morning that we will be moving in a new direction. We have enjoyed working with Doug. He is a good person and we want to thank him for his work and commitment to our football team. This was my decision. It was not an easy decision but I believe it's the right one for the future of the Buffalo Bills. Our search for a new general manager will begin immediately."
