  1. JJ Watt was an absolute beast in his prime but the man is made of glass and it's time to hang 'em up.  His gold jacket is secure, if he can sit on IR and get a ring this year (hopefully not since that means the Bills didn't get one) good for him but he had a great career either way.

  2. It's gonna be Sweeney and possibly Kumerow splitting time at the TE slot, not going to 4WR sets.  Davis being unable to beat out 34 year old Sanders (who apparently found the fountain of youth) for WR2 and thus tons of reps is on him.  Davis has proven that he's a quality WR but he hasn't proven that he's "WR2 on a super bowl contender" level good.

  3. Personally I would have just tried to draw them off and then called the timeout and kicked, but I understand McDermott going for it and won't fault him at all.  Every analytics model on the planet will tell you you're statistically more likely to win if you go for it, especially considering how our D couldn't stop anything in the second half.

  4. The Chiefs missing the playoffs is certainly possible but I would still consider it unlikely.  Let's say your four AFC division winners are the Bills, Ravens, Chargers, and Titans.  There are three wildcard spots up for grabs, which will (probably) go to three of

    -Chiefs

    -Raiders

    -Browns

    -Broncos

    -Bengals

    -Steelers

I don't believe in the Broncos at all so it mostly comes down to the AFCN all splitting with each other and the Raiders and Chargers beating the Chiefs and then the chiefs lose another game or two.  I think the Raiders will also have to do some soul searching to win after the Gruden trainwreck so basically pin all of your hopes on the AFCN folks.

We definitely need to incorporate Buffalo Bill, because our branding makes no sense right now. It completely ignores our team name and focuses only on the city.

Jerruh would throw a fit if the Bills ever tried to have a cowboy or western themed logo.  And the bison is the mascot of the entire city anyway.  I guarantee the sabres have a lot more branded stuff with a bison on it than a sword.

  6. Edmunds is perfectly qualified to be a starting MLB in the NFL, but I don't consider him to be at all elite.  The (apparent) disconnect between McBeane and the fanbase with regards to Edmunds can largely be traced back to how front offices are often married to their 1st round picks, especially if they traded up to get them like with Edmunds while fans usually don't care about that at all.

Moving Edmunds to OLB has always been a non-starter, especially after paying Milano.  Remember that nickel is pretty much the base defense nowadays and I think the notion of having Milano on the sidelines while Edmunds is out there wouldn't be very popular.
