  1. I absolutely cannot stand Collinsworth. He has an admitted anti-Bills bias, he pushes PFF on everyone, and he rides the jock of every single player on the field every play. He's actually decent at analyzing plays but I just don't care.

Somewhere in a better timeline Tirico and Romo are a broadcasting team together and I'm happy.

  3. 9 AFC teams above .500 10 weeks into the season and another 3 at .500, absolutely insane. The NFL is definitely going to get all of the playoff seeding mania it craved when it expanded to 7 playoff teams and 17 games.

Interestingly, there was a 1 point safety in a college game in 2004. Then another one in 2013 that just so happened to be called by the same broadcast announcer.

Those were the somewhat oddly-named offensive 1-pt safety though, which still results in the offense scoring 7 points on a TD.  AFAIK the defensive 1-pt safety has never been scored in either college or the NFL because there's only one even remotely plausible way it could happen, although it's still in the rules.  And the defensive version is the only way to end a football game with 1 point.

  5. For the love of god don't put it downtown, the traffic jam would last until tuesday.  The infrastructure can barely handle the daily commute.  Build it across the street from the current one.  I would prefer a dome but it's not a dealbreaker, the important thing is that they don't cheap out and build it 50 feet underground this time.  THAT'S what causes the swirling winds that make it awful to play at.  Open air stadiums work fine in cold cities, e.g., Green Bay, Pittsburgh, KC, NE.
