if they don't get one of the top 4 QB's then this is a huge failure by the McBeane admiinstration

You don’t think Jackson is in the big 4? Wow.

Say no to Tyrod Taylor 2.0

Just stop.  You repeatedly keep driving this narrative when it’s so false.

  2. It was the first time in my life (as a bills fan I became one in 2000 just my luck) I could walk anywhere after week 17 and say my team was one of the best 6 in the conference.  Nobody can take that away from us. So thank you Lesean, Hyde, Poyer, Kyle, Eric and most importantly Tyrod, you will never hear from most bills fans but thank you for carrying our team colors with pride. I was so proud of this team! I literally cried when they made the playoffs, so yes it was worth it. It will always be worth it. We aren’t the biggest losers in this century anymore.

I've said it repeatedly here: finding your QB is the fastest way to success.

Besides, Whitner/McCargo/Maybin were drafted by people masquerading as GM's and inferior HC/front office personnel. They had no plan or a weak one for rebuilding and the results speak for themselves.

From 2006-2016 OBD used the draft primarily to fill holes while essentially expecting the one QB they hoped would work actually did. When that option didn't, they looked for one other guy. The only time there's been anything close to an attempt to improve at QB was 2007 when Marv took Edwards. After that, OBD was scared to death of acquiring anyone who would challenge their anointed QB.

So Ej wasn't drafted in 2013? Yes he busted but to act like they havent used ANY resources is just wrong.

But, if WE take Jackson or Rudolph at 12, will WE be the ones now torturing Belichick and the Patriots for the next decade plus?

You're telling me Jackson wouldn't scare teams with his ability to press the line of scrimmage with designed  qb runs & rpo(run, pass, option)?  People are severely underestimating the impact Lamar will have on the ground game. Think about what Tyrod did now multiply that by 3 and that's what Jackson gives you as a runner. With the added bonus of him actually being a quarterback... IF he ends up in Miami (my biggest fear) then we will be the ones being tortured.

I disagree.  The guy had some nice throws against air.  If you actually watched the games, which 90%-95% of the people commenting on Jackson probably have not, he has a lot of trouble hitting open receivers, plain and simple.  A lot of Jackson defenders want to jump on people for saying isn't a good passer.  Yes, Jackson has read the field well in college and goes through his progressions like he should.  The problem is, when he decides to throw the ball he is flat out not accurate.  He is especially bad on out routes to the sideline and he will make his receivers break stride on short passes, that is one way he is very much like Tyrod.  He might have some success in the NFL, but I believe the people that think he is going to be consistently good as a passer and put up better than middle of the pack numbers as a passer are wrong.  I can see him being consistently in the bottom 3rd in passing yards as a starter.

    Watch the games.

I do watch/rewatched the games and the notion that he is inaccurate is just so false... Jackson is a better prospect in my opinion than Vick was

If Beane drafted Lamar Jackson, and Lamar didn't become elite very quickly, then it is very likely he would cost McDermott his job and maybe his own job too.

I say that because I think the majority of Buffalo fans are tired of the "quarterback who makes more big plays with his feet than his arm" type of QB.     And Lamar Jackson is that guy.   Just watch his highlight videos.    Only way you take this guy is if you can get him late in the draft (ideally round 5 or lower).   Let him go elsewhere and tie up some other team for 2 or 3 years before he is demoted to backup and gets his coach fired.

this is just so wrong. but okayyyyyyyyyy dude

I agree, if we want to see passes flying over their target we should just keep Taylor not take his clone.

Jackson is not a Tyrod clone. He can stand in the pocket deliver strikes from different angles, he flicks his wrist and throws darts to any part of the field. Oh and by the way he just so happpens to be the most dynamic running quarterback ever. He will be more than okay, and it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if he turned out to be the QB they end up going after.
