  1.

You are critiquing the team team for being 'So Billsy" when this is message board speculation. The Bills do enough on their own to merit criticism, why do you need to act like they are really doing this? Wait til they roll it out and fire away.

    My mistake.

I was indeed typing my post as if it was only speculation.

I didn't use the proper grammar to indicate that.

I should have typed, " It would be so Billsy for Buffalo as the League goes towards 2020 and Passing to try to win by going backwards to the 1970s."

  2. Moves have been made, players gained and lost. So after a brief time where has these moves positioned the Bills in AFC?

    Patriots

    Raiders

    Steelers

    Chiefs

    Texans

    Broncos

    Ravens

    Titans

    Dolphins

    Bills

    Colts

    Chargers

    Jaguars

    Browns

    Jets

I see it as they are still near the bottom portion of the ladder looking up at a long list of teams to pass and a lot of work to do with a depleted secondary, first year coach and average Quarterback.

Next update will probably be when Romo lands somewhere.

  3. calling ANYONE the next Brady is nothing short of moronic!

You could call him the next Andrew Luck - tons of promise, looks like the real deal, no would in their right mine would trade that pick.

Oh yeah, how has Andrew Luck worked out so far?

Luck has worked out pretty good for Indy in the first 5 Seasons. And to think what the next 12-14 seasons will be too.

  4. I am with you. No full season tank but no making 0-8 a 3-13 either. If this season starts to look terrible let it keep going.

You always have to quiet the fans who the shout..."well San Diego started 0-4 and went to the Super Bowl! Or Dallas started 0-2 and Won the Super Bowl! Or look at the Dolphins this past season."

Yeah I will ignore all those minimal examples and stick to...if they are 2-5 or 1-4 keep it rolling!

  5. This topic idea is not a new one. We went a few rounds on it a while ago, but I'm not going to be a dick and try to force this back into an older thread

    Look.

Honestly, I think a tank this season is a bad play. It is simply a bad year to try for it. The superior year would be 2018

We have too many contracts that yield us nothing. Dareus, Clay, Hughes and Shady give us nothing. The time when it might give us any profit is 2018 If we want to tank in 2018, keeping Kyle this year does no harm to 2019.

I am not in favor of a tank any year. But tanking this year would be exceptionally stupid.

Would you be in favor of a in season tank? That is more what I am suggesting I would rather see.

  6. Can he really do that? Are fans willing to just give up a season of bad football? How does Russ sell that to season ticket holders?

I just don't want any delusional management.

If they are 3-6 and it's been all sound defeats and freaky wins. I don't want to hear about, so and so QB is starting to gel and the defense is getting it's feet under them.

    No

If they are 3-6, 2-5 I want Whaley to start removing players from the depth chart to ensure the worst possible record.

We were 0-8 and 8 games away from Cam Newton a few seasons ago. And we blew it.

If buffalo is bad to start the season I want Lyle Williams released or traded, McCoy traded, the QB if he's bad left in to play, rookies starting .

Now if they are 5-3 or 6-4 or 4-2...then I want more done to potentially put them over the top

  7. 11-5+ or 2-14

I really don't want any other outcome than either of these two outcomes and I am hoping that Whaley still has enough power to be micromanaging this season so that when the time comes he can either pull the plug to ensure the 2-14 or add something to help push towards 11-5 or better.

I know this isn't the other sports...but the Bills can definitely make decisions that would help a cause to if the first 5-6 games go a certain way.

    More

Cutting Tyrod Taylor because he won't ever be Aaron Rodgers is like hitting on 17 in blackjack. Sure you can do better, but likely won't.

Not a fan of the reasoning.

He might not be that level, but he also isn't the worst. So where does that type of QB leave you?

In the middle. Where Buffalo has been agonizingly for almost this whole playoff drought.

And a QB of Taylor's level will never get you great and never sink you.

So you'll never win a SuperBowl with Taylor (likely) and you'll never be bad enough to Draft a potential Aaron Rodgers.

    Hate being in the middle

  9. I haven't seen anything from the philosophy on offense to the QBs ability to spread the ball that would warrant any major investment in the WR position.

They still haven't been able to find a balance in the run/pass and if I am ranking best option on a play it would go.

    1.) Run with McCoy

    2.),Pass to Watkins

    3.) Run with Taylor

    4.) Pass to Clay

    5.) Pass to McCoy

I don't see going to far $$$$ or in the draft for someone who is going to be the 5/6th best option on a given down.

Id pass and look to draft someone late or get someone cheap.

  10. Brownie seems nice....Murphy seems condescending.

Maybe somewhere inside...Brownie recalls when he used to be a hardcore WGR member.

Murph...yeah...if it isn't Buffalo Bills then it won't win and is garbage. Strange how he has been so wrong for so long.

But then again...when all you so is support and promote a failing product because they pay you...your credibility at understanding football goes swoop! Right out the window.

  11. I don't understand the JM, CB thing...

They are bought media. To me that is the worst. They present themselves as Media/Journalists. That in of itself should be independent unbiased. But Mr. Pegula cuts Murph and Brownie a check.

And it's not even that I can't trust their opinions as their own opinions...it's when they go negative on fans / callers whose opinions are anti-the people who cut their checks every month.

Teams having their own media is strange to me.

But I am also just having a little cynical fun when I say I am going after murph and brownie on message boards. They seem nice.

  12. "Make your point once. Make it twice. Make it when appropriate. Just don't make the same point in every thread, every day, day after day. It just pisses people off."

I really think I will like it here!

There is always a natural life cycle to any good debate. Opinion with facts to support it met possibly with resistance and other facts to counter, response followed by response, but by the 4th of 5th respone each side has said their peace and best to be honorable and leave it there.

That's the way I rolled at BBMB and that's the way I will continue to do so.

Strong opinions, fact based, open ears, respectful of other posters and try to end with a smile. :)

    3.) Buffalo, New York

    4.) 17

5.) Thin Skin, Mediocre QBs and the fans who love them, John Murphy and old men who think like him. Basically out dates thinkers

6.) Tanking, Blue Chip QBs, Offense Wins, Drafting QBs,

7.) Ftiz but then tanking for Newton

    Ralph is a legend.
