Ok I’m off the Brian Thomas train and all in the Rome Odunze train.
Question will be whether we’ll pay the ticket price for the Rome train.
i do love how excited he gets, though. Gets you pumped.

All I can say is that Tyler Harrell must have literally had his hands amputated to be last on the list with that 40 time.

I am starting to feel really old now. I remember watching Ronald Curry play basketball in high school. He the McDonald's High School Player of the Year. Played both basketball and football....he was an unreal athlete.
We lived in Hampton at that time. My wife taught at rival Bethel High (Allen Iverson alma mater). Watched Ronald play football. Still can’t believe he didn’t become a superstar. Was absolutely incredible. I think he scored 8 tds in a game I watched. Was a man amongst boys at a pretty good level of competition.

Trivia question: how many preseason games did Marv Levy win as Head Coach of the Buffalo Bills?
Yes, but a win would have pushed the ball a little left through the uprights and we’d be celebrating Norwood day every year.

Anybody know? Shakir was known to have great hands coming out of the draft wasnt he? I know, so did Zay, but i think context matters. Is this a flukey baseball cold streak type things with his hands, or is there a fundamental problem with his catching a la Gabe Clappy Davis?
I would guess it is not a hands issue but a concentration issue. He’s making the ridiculously hard catches so I don’t think it’s hands. He missed the crazy easy catch. Probably thinking ahead too much because he saw it as easy; literally taking the eye off the ball.

Nelson is probably the best g in the league, so good for Timmy to get to test against him.
Probably also a little revenge. If I remember correctly, Settle launched Nelson backwards during our preseason game against them last year. Had me hopeful he was going to be a real force.

I couldn’t agree more (wink, wink). All opposing D coordinators should hang on every pearl of wisdom this genius puts out there.

Here are my thoughts. These and a cup of coffee will get you a cup of coffee. I also don’t profess to watch “film”.
That said, and disclaimers over, I think Ed is a very talented DT. The best in the league? Probably not. Hasn’t shown it yet. But this contract isn’t for the best. A tweet earlier said it was for 16th best which will quickly become 18th best. Then 20th best as more get their extensions. That starts to feel right.
Add on to that (and here I’m really using my gut feelings or gas; still haven’t decided) that Ed is likely viewed as our most talented DT and he likely gets the attention commensurate with that from opposing O lines.
Now you would hope that he could transcend that attention on a more regular basis like a Chris Jones. They must feel he has the ability to up his game coupled with him being paid as an almost great player which he qualifies for. Let’s hope he transitions to all pro great and out performs the contract. But for now, getting paid as the 16th best DT isn’t a travesty, it’s just sticker shock.

I see this as obvious bait. Ross knows this rabid, angst ridden fan base too well. Good way to generate buzz from this nest of bees.
Is it fair to say he’s had questionable moments and needs to improve? Yes. He’s certainly not perfect. Do we need to continue to advance toward getting to and winning the Super Bowl? Absolutely!
But am I going to rate a guy who took a multi-decade, laughing stock of the NFL franchise and has them at 62-35 (64% win record) with multiple playoff appearances and is currently rated as one of the couple teams with a legit shot to win the Super Bowl and say he’s one of the bottom third coaches in the NFL? Please…

More so I will never understand those that say they have a second favorite team. Once again I heard all reasons and cases and whatever makes you happy. But no die hard is ever rooting for another team unless it benefits their #1 team in a particular week. Everyone was a “diehard” bengal fan then when they beat the ravens which ended bills drought
I think this depends on what you mean by second favorite team. I lived in Wisconsin for several years and attended several Packer games at Lambeau. I consider the Packers my second team and would root for them if they were playing somebody besides the Bills unless it were going to hurt playoff ranking or something.
That said, I don’t root for them on anywhere near the same level as the Bills. And if they play us, especially in a Super Bowl, there would not be one ounce of me that wanted them to win.
So second team, yes. But second team on the same level as your number one, “die hard” team, not a chance.

This is exactly why I never bought a yacht. I didn’t want to wake up, look next door, and see Jerry Jones lying there shirtless. 😳
I’d take the yacht and just be glad it was only shirtless 😬

Good news! The off-season hasn’t been quite the same so glad to hear you’ll be back (although I agree that the Major has been busting his backside to fill in). Hope all ends up well on the home front. 👍

Planning a trip to my beloved Bologna sometime this summer. Go Bills, go Bologna FC!
Ah, it is funny, the Italian connections.
I am 55, wife and two kids; a 21 year old daughter and an 18 year old son.
Grew up in Western New York which started this masochistic obsession. Have lived many places over the years and currently reside in Tennessee.
I am a product director for a tile company and so spend much time with Italians, and come most years to Bologna in September. Love that city and the food is terrific. Also end up in Sassuolo, Imola, Maranello, etc…
I mostly lurk here but wanted to say welcome to the board, IB. I like your passion. 👍

How about Tank Dell. Saw good reports about him out of senior bowl. Was supposedly very hard to cover.
Disclaimer: don’t watch much college so take with huge grain of salt.

Yes. We are entering the season of saying the same things about the draft we did the previous 10 years and claiming as a new thought.

I don't know but I very much doubt it.
He's just not a Tackle in this league and moving him inside is the best way to keep him on the field, imo.
Simon, what do you think is keeping Brown from playing tackle better? Do you think it’s mental or his back issues? He is so frustrating. We typically talk short arms or slow feet for moving tackles inside but he had the highest RAS ever coming out. Heck, he should be an all pro left tackle yet alone right tackle given his RAS score. What happened?

Isn't NOT coming out of the tunnel flat before the biggest game of the year supposed to be one of those things that falls to the Head Coach of the team?
Yes. I’m not ready to ***** can him like many here but he will definitely need to look himself in the mirror and know that he did not have the team ready to play.
