  1. I will never complain about Tyrod again. If he’s back, I’m good. If he’s not, he’s not. He has earned my respect for doing something no other Bills QB could do since Flutie. We can win with him. Change the game plan to fit his skill set. If they don’t keep him that’s fine too, but I will not complain about him. I made that deal with myself before Sunday..I’ll own it.

Of course he'll play. He'll tape it up and probably be 75%. Murphy better be ready to carry a heavy load. I still don't want to see Tolbert or DiMarco touch the ball...

Murphy did a hell of a job from out of nowhere Sunday. Could you imagine what this guy could be to Bills fans if we beat the jags on Sunday and he went 19-105 and a TD or something. Just from a complete nobody to helping the Bills win their first playoff game in 23 years. Sometimes these guys come from nowhere to spark these runs. The guy should at least have fresh legs.

No one is suggesting that Shady is a kitty or not tough enough to try and grind it out through some pain.

That's not the issue at all.

The issue is whether or not he is injured to the point where he simply can't be Shady, even if he has all the courage in the world.

That's what we are waiting on, and what no one really knows at this time.

I can’t see him being able to do what makes him elite, Cut back and stop on a dime. But even shady at 75% is better then anything else we have or can get. This guy is a generational talent and in a win or go home senario, I hope he’s available. Any of Shady s better then no shady IMO.

Those are good thoughts but if his foot is injured, how can he move? I've sprained my ankle many times...You can't expect to play just a week later...

I don’t know a DR smarter then me would probably have a better explanation. Maybe some sort of pain med coupled with the adrenaline of a playoff game. The week invetween and keeping weight off it might help a bit. I’m sure he can’t be 100% but if he can play, I want him to play.

  5. I would consider at least tossing him a work out. I mean, he does give you a guy that can catch it out of the backfield and the jags are a physical front. You might be able to get 2 or 3 tough yard carries from him, where he could hit the hole quicker then Tolbert. And obviously you get the amazing PR. Fred and Kyle getting the playoff game. Even though, for once the Bills actually have some positive PR going on their own without a gimmic.

  6. I’m an incredibly pecimistic Bills fan, beaten down from so many years of disappointment. Sunday was probably the best sports day of my adult life. I never thought we would get in, I never think anything good will happen to the Bills...all that being said, I’m confused about the line and narrative of this game. I’m a negative or “realistic” Bills fan, I really think we got a great draw. I would much rather go to Jacksonville then KC. I know we already won in KC, but the chiefs are playing much better now. The chiefs actually have real fans. The jags have looked terrible for the last few weeks. Blake Bortles looks like he can’t throw the same pass twice. How overrated is that Defense? The 49ers just scored 44 points on them. They play in a division with 4 free wins and they got swept by the Titans. A team that is also got 4 freebies and looked terrible down the stretch. We can beat this team. I don’t even think the Jaguars are better then the bills. I really believe we are better and we can and probably will, win. If we can stop the run, we are going to have an incredible look. All year we have gone as our Defense goes. Make Bortles try to throw it on our secondary and let’s go see Brady. Go Bills!

  7. Maybe it’s just me. But I feel like there is no way this guy is missing this game. It’s the playoffs. Shady is a gamer and the face of this team. If he can stand, he’s going to play. I haven’t thought about him not playing for a second.

No its 2018. And I can back up what I said via one of the most comprehensive scouting combine databases there is ANYWHERE, since I along with a few others, compiled it using about 20 different sources online pieced together for a football game I am coding, along with numerous breakdowns by positions via various metrics for almost 6,700 players, ranging all the way back to the first year of the combine.  I have data broken down so many ways it would make your head spin...and it all says that on average there is slightly more than a tenth of a second gap(.12 seconds to be concise---4.76 to 4.64 average 40 time) between Inside LB's and Outside LB's in their 40 times.

Where did you say your information comes from? Becasue I'm quite sure it's nowhere near as complete as mine... Or are you just throwing your best guess out there?

Usually the SLB is a physical LB that can come up and set an edge as long as hang with a TE. The RB is normally left to the MLB. In most (non Tolbert) cases, I would venture to say a RB is faster and harder to cover then a TE. Also if this is the case and of your 3 LBs, the MLB should be the slowest, why would we have Alexander playing SLB? Brown is slow but he’s not slower then Alexander. I personally don’t want either of the guys. I would rather have 3 LBs that can run. I just disagree with the assessment that in most 4-3 defenses a MLB should be the slowest. In my opinion, that’s rarely the case. Usually I feel the MLB is the most complete LB on the field. Run, cover and stop the run.

Its posts like this that drive me insane..

MLB is typically the slowest LB on the field...so you want to move him to a position where he has more coverage responsibilities against TE's???  How does this make any sense?

Slower then SLB? Which year is it? 1975? Watch the game. MLB is supposed to run. Both to cut off run lanes and to cover the middle of the field on crossing routes. They also cover the RB out of the backfield a lot. My post drives you insane? What you said is completely wrong. Alexander is our SLB...you think MLB is intended to be the slowest on the field?
