  1. No matter how terrible the pats are and how bad their offense looks at times…part of me wishes we could run it with Physicality like they do. In theory it should be even easier for us because the defense has to respect our passing game. Can’t load boxes. This is the element missing from our team IMO. I think it’s predominantly a mindset but hopefully Fournette can help.

    Go Pats?

They have 7 losses .. let them rack up meaningless wins to keep them away from Caleb Williams / Drake Maye.

We are going to need the Pats down the line here to help us out in games against other WC teams. The longer they can stay interested, the better for us

  2. The one thing about Denver is they are going to run it until we stop it. This game is going to be very physical and if we aren’t ready to tackle, it’s going to get difficult. I can’t believe I even think this in my own mind but if Bernard can’t go, I think I want Klein. He might be slower and older but he’s a relative coach on the field and even in his physical state, still gives us more than Dodson. Dodson is useless at this point.  In a perfect world we’d stop wasting time and just live with 42/43 out there but if Bernard is out, I’d rather see Williams and Klein. At least those guys will be decisive and run downhill towards the ball. Something that can give us the opportunity to at least make plays to take the Ball away. Plus I feel good about Klein in run support

  3. It always felt like we were better off in that mode of: underdog, watch us prove you wrong

It never seemed like we could get there again after the media love fest we had going on post 13 seconds … we are there now. People are flat out disrespecting us and basically saying what we were is over. If there’s ever a time to draw from that underdog mentality, it’s the stretch run of this season.

So does Damar get the start if both Hyde and Poyer can't go?

The crazy part is, before the injury I actually liked Hamlin as a player. He’s super aggressive and decisive. He also really hits. I’m not sure why he’s just completely dealt out here. It’s not like the guys we have on the backend are lighting it up this year. We are seeing Hyde get scotched In coverage and both these guys are getting older.

That's a bold strategy, Cotton, and I like it! But I seriously doubt that the brain trust at OBD has the cajones (or smarts...LOL) to do it.

We have had the personnel to be more like the eagles then chiefs for years but are trying to force this BS every year. It’s infuriating. The aggravating part is the guy who ran that power 15 panthers offense that I loved is ON our staff…this team is maddening

  6. You have to have Fournette up for this. Our offense is completely stuck in the mud. Throw in a RB that can run it when they know you are running it,  pass protect and catch it out of the backfield. What we are doing isn’t working and you can’t wait any longer to play your hand here. You have to start treating these games like they matter because they all do. It might even be too late to really get it rolling but you have to at least try. I’d bring Fournette up and start him. Show the Broncos something we haven’t put on tape yet. A physically imposing offense that will roll down hill at you and not stop moving.

Put Gilliam out there with him. 5/41 in the backfield, 2 TEs, very good run blocking WRs, unbalanced lines, a QB that can run power and play action. Let’s change the identity of this team this week and go on a run. Hybrid of 15 panthers/22 Eagles offense…save the season

  7. It’s mind blowing to me to hear all the people say last night was a heroic performance by this defense considering….We got absolutely embarrassed on every 3rd or 4th down. The Bengals stopped themselves a few times by playing with their food. Guys ran wide open through the Swiss cheese zone. We never tackle, can’t cover, NEVER EVER make a big stop to give it back to our offense. Anytime ever, that McD has a shot to get a stop and get it back….NEVER do we make a stop. Zero exceptions. This defense sucks. And it puts so much pressure on the offense to be perfect.

  8. Steve Tasker just has zero grasp of reality in anything he’s saying. The guy just keeps saying the bengals have answers. Dafuk are we supposed to just be good with that? We aren’t supposed to be upset that we don’t have them? The guy will say how good we are in one breath then just make it like it’s no surprise we lose to the Jets with Zach Wilson.

I agree - but let's keep in mind we are without Milano, Jones, Bernard was out in first Q last night, Tre White (although hes a wimp). It's a massive hit to our D. Our depth sucks and it shows.

I get it and that sucks but this team just matched all over us all 3x we saw them and those guys were out there for other games. This coach just won’t come off this zone and Burrow is going to shred the ***** out of it every time.

  10. Everyone’s giving the defense credit here. The defense was on skates from the start. Every 3rd down guys were wide open. Anything they wanted they had. I’m not giving them any credit here. The Bengals started playing with their food and kept us in it. There was zero resistance by this defense all night in big spots. I’m not going to just act Like this defense isn’t a problem.

  11. You have to change something. Even if it’s just throwing something at the wall. You are probably done here. Absolutely have to run the table and that isn’t happening the way it’s currently constructed. Fire someone, try Fournette, bench a few guys, change the philosophy on offense, change play callers. You have to try something or you are dead here.

  12. We took so long to score on that last drive. There was absolutely no urgency. Does this team even know basic rules? It seems like nobody on the team even understood there was a clock. Just waking around no rush. It’s insane how bad we are at doing the things that win football games.

WTF is "complimentary" football anyway?  Josh is even saying it now.

It must mean both sides get equally blown off the ball and come up small in big spots. One hand washes the other. Defense gets on skates and just watches the Bengals move the ball at will and the offense turns it over or punts. Real full circle
