  1. Watching this really amplified to me how bad the defense was last year. I remember watching him making these great plays only to be ruined by the D letting the other team score right after (more times than not). I was against keeping TT w/ the old deal, but since he restructured and they have been active in free agency, he definitely seems like the best option for the bills right now. If the defense improves, we're going to win some of those close ones - and it's going to make him look better.
  2. Wasn't a fan of keeping TT with the old deal, but the re-structure is key here. I didnt like the idea of paying him top money, but now if it's more reasonable, it makes more sense to keep him. Especially if there isn't a gem at 10. Seem like the QB's is this draft need a little time. Now, I wouldnt't draft a qb at 10, I would go WR or Safety or Corner....
  3. No doubt would worry that he would get hurt, but he would be a big upgrade in terms of leadership and passing game. Bring him in for 2 years while we develop Cardale and a draft pick....
  4. If it's not about money then of course, keep Tyrod - but he hasn't yet played to the level of money that we will be paying him. That's the big risk here. If Dennison thinks he can take him to the next level of being able to scare teams with his arm? I'll be there to root him on as much as anybody....if he doesn't get better? then we we're paying for a whole lot of average qb play (with some nice runs here and there).
  5. It's definitely a tough call but if you pay the full contract then you'll never find out because they won't have enough money to bring someone else in, so you'd have to draft another quarterback who more than likely won't be ready right away and you would probably have a harder time bringin in other free agents to fill the other holes we have. That's why I still think Cardale would be almost as good as starting Tyrod next year - but without the huge cap hit. Romo isn't coming to Buffalo, I just don't see it happening. I hate to say it but if your talking old guys, I think you'll see a guy like Cutler here before Romo would be. I would love Kirk Cousins, I think if there was a chance to get a guy he would be the guy I would go for. With our run game and Sammy (would need another WR) I can see him being successful for a long time. Realistically, I don't think Redskins will let him go. SO i have a feeling that most likely Whaley will bring in a Hoyer, Keenum, Gabbert to hold down the fort 'till Cardale/Mid range QB 2017 draft pick is ready. Won't be popular but this is the most realistic thing I see happening.
  6. So you say 'Passing is King' yet you still think Tyrod is the answer at QB? Believe me, he definitely has shown some good stuff and i like Tyrod, but consistancy was always an issue and I have seen so many missed opportunities in the passing game that could have been the difference in countless games this past season. I know Cardale is young and inexperienced but he already has a better arm, he's taller, and a lot tougher to bring down when he's running. Not saying he should be starter next year, but don't pay tyrod 20 mill to start over with a new coach and system when Cardale could give you a similar look (with a much higher ceiling) next year if he has the proper coaching and preparation. I hope what happens is that we get an experienced pure passer to compete with Cardale for the job. If the experienced passer wins then I hope he is accurate enough to get the ball to our receivers and skill players a lot more decisively than Tyrod did and let them make the big plays. That plus a much improved defense (an obvious must) and a smart, disciplined coach will get this team on the right track.
