  1. every drive that started with a pass had a good ending, every drivewith the ultra stupid stretch run ended with negative yards and a punt. Just saying

time to stop trying to lead the league in rushing and start leading the game in scoring.

Tryod ain't letting go of the rains folks. Deal.

i cant hold rain, it always leaks through my fingers, does he have a bucket?

  2. How about that 30 something yard pass to Clay on first down the drive before when we were tied right after that TD? Why aren't you mentioning that? How conservative was that? Go away.

ummm maybe because you need more than 6 points to ensure a win? maybe because we almost lost due to stupid run plays being called, um maybe it should have been a 10 point lead where we walk away with a kneel down instead of another heartbreaking loss?

it was totally stupid playcalling, do you understand how football works or was this your first game?

  3. last week i went hard after dennison, not tt, knowing tyrod is what tyrod is, a decent qb, today he stayed in the pocket, used the middle and ran a couple times when he had to, he was actually brilliant today, if he did this every week we wouldnt need to draft a qb next year, we would win a lot of games.

  4. 1. The Dolphins dont look great. We have 2 vs them

    2. We still have 1 vs the jets.

    3. The Bucs looked horrible today.

    4. Bungals dont look great.

    5. Chargers look bad.

    6. Colts dont look great.

    7. Saints are beatable.

We have a lot of winnable games.

i was thinking the same, that we could go 10-6 but we will lose one of these "easy" games for sure then win a hard one against the pats or falcons, etc.

  5. I love our new secondary. These guys could become a very special unit.

What a game by E.J. Gaines, he had a strong performance.

I do want to focus on Tre'Davious White. The Broncos had a target on him and they picked on him all day.

During the first half White bit a few times and got beat badly by Emanuel Sanders. As another poster said, this was White's "Welcome to the NFL game."

In the second half, White stepped up his play. He would give up some more completions, but he was right there to make the tackle.

His interception today, is probably the easiest he will ever make in the NFL, but it came at a crucial time.

White was able to finish out the game with good play and he and Gaines helped the defense a lot today.

One thing that has really impressed me with White, that I have seen on replays during these first three games, is how he will go into coverage of his receiver and he will look back at the quarterback, and that at times has caused him to knock down passes headed towards him. It's something that you don't see a lot of CB's do.

I look forward to watching White grow as a player.

incredibly titled thread first of all, way to preview what you were about to say...genius.

that being said he defended about 5 passes and was totally solid, havent seen this since thomas smith, maybe even nate odomes

  6. I was at the game. And I have it recorded on my phone. How's that for you?

On this day we remember your thought being shot down cold. RIP

I love when people who don't know what they're talking about, chiming in as if enlightened to the reality of the opposing poster. Just simple minds and simple excuses for someone not able to keep up with the conversation.

    /Burn

nice....seriously. but really your ignoring mathews IS fast, so is zay and faster than the carolina receivers, also that NO WR gets open in the first 1.5 seconds, and if tighwad takes off running you dont ever see them get open, it usually happens in the 2.5- 3 seconds of a pass play. So while being at the game is cool (props), its still crap play calling and tightwads fear of a sack thats the real problem.

For example, play actions that have him rolling out keep him comfortable and these are plays where hes been known to crank one deep for a td. dennison needs to call these 5 times a game minimum.

Your are still only half enlightened.

  7. Hey new OC. We're going to trade away the best receiving threat you have and the thing Tyrod does best. Now, you have slow WRs and defenses will crowd the line and take away McCoy.

    Now, score some points!

what at all does this have to do with no play action??? this is actually why you need play action, ever heard of the Chiefs? They had nobody good at WR last year and even had a year with 0 tds to WR's but they go to the playoffs every year with a less skilled passer/runner at qb

    Better coaching though.

  8.

Need a little of both - along with not the best route.

The throw was a bit to far inside, Zay cut the route a bit to far toward the sidelines. Zay got both hands on the ball, but awkward - that is maybe a 50/50 catch - so a bit of a drop.

all around a play that is just not good enough by either player.

Its really neither, its tough to make those throws and catches, but if tt throws it LESS outside, it would not have even been touched by zay.

I think zay did cut too hard to the sideline, had he just ran a little deeper to the pylon he would have walked in with a basket type catch of that ball.

  9. I'll probably post this in a couple of threads tomorrow. But we had no separation at wide receiver we couldn't find the scenes or anywhere on the field to exploit targets. Their defensive backs are not that good but without McCoy doing anything the Panthers were able to flood the filled with coverage and shut us down

how do you know this? you cant see the wrs on the tv, they are out of frame, and zay and mathews are both 4-4, 4-5 guys, id bet are faster than funchess and benjamin. i love when people take some BS logic and apply it, all the while ignoring that when we had lightning fast guys like tj and goodwin, those guys supposedly sucked and we had low scoring games with them. Twatkins barely played last year and we had high scoring games without him. Tightwad had a lot of 220 + yard games with fast guys but he threw to woods and some scrubs mostly. And how is Clay not a weapon now? hes faster than most TE's and LB's.

Just simple minds looking for simple excuses when its actually dennisons crap playcalling.

  10. Im a bit concerned. I do not see any creativity in the playcalling.

    1. I see basically zero misdirection plays.

    2. I see a run on 1st down literally 90% of the time.

    3. I see very little play action.

    4. I see none of the unstoppable option run schemes that made this offense a top 10 offense.

Bad game for everyone today on this offense; most of all horrible play calling and game plan by the OC.

obviously i agree, i posted this but i didnt see it appear so i posted it again, in my own special way :)

  11. How is it Dennison's fault that taylor's skill set is so limited? He has to game plan for what he has to work with.

what do you mean? taylor has a great long ball and threw down the middle week one and half of 2016, and to your point re a limited skill set, (ie hes dumb) means you SHOULD use play action, which i think they did one time. this is on dennison, whom taylor played worse for than ever. Kinda like how are D played better for mcdermott than for rex. Bad coaching.

  12. Dennison did his best Roman impression yesterday, reminding us all of Baltimore last year and JP losman era years before. Thing is TT can go off if he gets enough throws in, the lack of play action when they were loading the box was utterly stupid. In a game where every possession can be a score, it doesnt matter that zay didnt make a spectacular catch on a high pass on the last play. what matters more is that we didnt score a single TD on all the other plays in a game where the Defense handed us the ball PLENTY of times. Dip$hit Dennison repeatedly ran into the teeth of the D on nearly every first and second down. When he does throw, he goes into shotgun and announces it.

TT is still who we think he is, slightly above average due to his skill set. Yes he is also brainless to not learn after many years to utilize the middle, but if Im D$hit Dennison im in his ear after every 3rd down that he throws a two yard pass to the flat on. I mean for real? 3rd and long and tightwad is still throwing 2 yarders to covered receivers in the flat? Hi Kelly Holcomb how you been? So why isnt Dennison screaming at him?

We dont need to tank, we need the playoffs, we can still package everything to get that qb whether we make it or not, I cant stand to watch one person every year destroy our chances, and this year its already looking like Dennison will be 2017's Rex, Roman, EJ, Hackett, Wanstadt, Edwards, Losman, Juaron, Gilbride, Pendry or what have you..

Someone always has to be a clueless imbecile and ruin our season.

  13. Do you like his sideline mannerisms?

I appreciate his intensity and it seems sincere, but I cannot get over when he claps adamantly when there is a 3 and out, a defensive collapse or even something positive. It is the same robotic motion every time.

This thread is ridiculous, I know. But it really pisses me off to see how eager he is to greet his players to the sideline when the just blew a big opportunity.

    It's up there with:

    Marrones blank stare

    Todd Bowles **** eating grin

    Carrols gum smacking confusion

Looks like he might have cracked my top three...

dont forget Juarons dead stare after huge breakdowns, like he seriously died- standing up.

  14. Both games so far had mcCoy running into a wall on nearly every first down, often times followed by the same worthless play on second down. Thereby pinning our hopes on a Tightwad 3rd down pass which is usually 2 yards to a covered back or TE out in the flat. Very JP Losman-esque.

Dennison is doing his best Roman impression and is really quite the moron to not have used play action yesterday. It was the only way we moved the ball vs the Jets, along with a couple tightwad passes down the middle. Blame Zay for a drop but every play that wasnt a play action yesterday was much more of a mistake and wasted play that the one good play we attempted at the end. Yesterday Tightwad showed he still has no brain to still not have learned to use the middle. He hit a few at the end and on the "big" fg drive, but how stupid he must really be to have all that talent and forget each game day after game day, year after year, to throw the damn ball down the middle instead of bailing out after 1.5 seconds.

...But this isnt a tightwad thread, its a Dip$hit Dennison thread. He is the coach, so why isnt he MAKING Tyrod use the middle? Why isnt he CALLING PLAYACTION or at least a pass on first down instead of only third down?

If Im the coach Im in tightwads ear every time they walk off the field without points. That complete idiot just kept looking at his clipboard and calling run- all game long.

Tightwad can throw for 300 yards if he has enough attempts to get warmed up, hes a slow starter but has great ability once hes comfortable. And FYI, this whole "top running game" fallacy thats been going on for 3 years, is nothing more than the extra 500 yards Tightwad adds by taking off when he should be throwing a simple 7 yard third down conversion. Remove his yards and every year we drop well below number 1 in rushing. And BTW, the league is quietly laughing at us and more than willing to let us be the "top running team" as they go to the playoffs again and we slide to 7-9 again, like every year.

  15. 3 seasons 153 catches and 9 drops. That's a pretty low #.

he had tons of drops that werent counted because a little db would jostle him on a 5 yard curl....those and jump balls were often "dropped" but not counted as such even though he was a supposed number 1 stud wr. twatkins sucked at anything except deep balls, the thing lee evans was so often crucified for even though they never had him running underneath routes.

  16. If anyone is looking for my support against the Buffalo News paywall, you are barking up the wrong tree. It's their content. It's their business. Complaining about the media has become bloodsport in this country and it has risen to destructively absurd levels.

Readers rail against low-quality "clickbait" when the content is free, but if the publication tries to offer higher quality for a SMALL price - people freak out and pound their fist on how they will never pay for something that they think should be free.

    NOTHING IS FREE.

Everyone wants high quality journalism, but no one wants to support a business model that actually employs people with talent to create that high quality journalism.

If the Buffalo News made $3 per 1000 clicks on an article, one reader would have to read 1000 articles in one month for them to generate the same revenue as one subscriber. It's absurd.

Everyone talks about getting their news for "free" elsewhere. What publication is going to produce a piece like Tim Graham did about Darryl Talley? Some blogger on a fan site? How much time and resources did that piece consume in production? Do you think that was covered in "clicks"? If you want an education in the publishing business, read this from The AthleticTO published earlier this year:

    https://theathletic.com/40690/2017/02/27/letter-from-the-editor-why-the-athletic-has-a-paywall/

THAT is what you need to know about today's market. It sucks. Stop expecting talented people to work for peanuts. And the "news" you find here comes mainly from paid professional writers. When they go away, the news here goes away. Then all you will have is Chris Brown and Bills press releases to no one.

The Buffalo News is asking for $12 for the ENTIRE season. There are cities in this country that pay more than that for one hour of minimum wage work. there are a thousand ways to illustrate just how small an amount that is for 4 months worth of content.

If Jerry Sullivan isn't what you want to read for $12 a season, send in a letter to the BN. Tell them to hire better quality AND you will support them with subscriber fees. But they have other writers and produce a lot more content than just him at the moment.

Ultimately, this is about the getting what you pay for, regardless of the publication. Journalism was ALWAYS a pay to play endeavor for 100 years. They tried 15 years of ad-supported "free". It's failing. Find a publication you value and subscribe. I subscribe to the New York Times for this very purpose. Attitudes need to change.

The amount of hysteria surrounding $3/month is appalling. You don't have to subscribe, but stop expecting something for nothing or something for too little.

agree, but can you take their stories of 2bd? im tired of clicking them and then realizing its the pay service. alot of stories about the bills dont appear on 2bd, espn insider ie. why is this still showing up.
