Did I claim that any tragic results have afflicted Terry?

I just said that people who wholeheartedly believe accusations that are backed by nothing are not acting in a way that reflects justice. If you disagree with me argue with what I have said.

The accusation isn't Terry said these words and you are misinterpreting the lawsuit.

The accusation is the NFL failed to properly investigate the scenario, which is backed up by the evidence that neither Trotter who reported the conduct to the NFL nor the reporter who claimed to have heard this first-hand from Terry at the dinner were interviewed in the subsequent NFL investigation.

Although I will admit, the way this has been misreported and misrepresented from the start from the media has ruined any chance for a rational discussion on the actual lawsuit.

Who cares about what the people who were there remember, there are accusations of racism afoot! We must execute those who have been labeled as guilty, and congratulate those who ferreted out this despicable act, even if the only place this evil occurred was in the recesses of their own mind!

Seriously though, people who believe accusations without evidence are fighting against justice with the distorted view of being "good people". It is like they have no idea WHY the idea of innocent til proven guilty was implemented, and the results are... tragic.

    This is a bit silly.

What tragic results have afflicted Terry Pegula due to this situation?

He wasn't caught on a hot mic saying something stupid.  By Glab's own admission, all he said was "Go get Diggs".

If you listen the recording, he obviously says more - specifically in the 24 - 28 second mark of the video... although the only words I can make out are "Stef" and "get your ass." It's gargled and difficult to hear but it is more than "Go get Diggs." Glab is trying to save face and not trying to throw anyone else under the bus.

    IMO

I assume the alleged comment was off the cuff, rather than part of an interview.

It was allegedly said at a dinner.

The NFL interviewed everyone at said dinner and they all deny it was said (per Buffalo News).

The NFL failed to interview, though, the reporter who heard Terry say this at the dinner.

The NFL did not do their due diligence in investigating the accusation.

This is precisely Trotter's accusation. He is not accusing Pegula of saying these things - he is accusing the NFL of covering up an investigation (which they clearly did if the reporter who claimed to hear the account was not interviewed).

Does Everyone just believe everything they read on the internet?

Humans have never been known to lie?

Pegula already came out and said these disgusting comments are 100% not his and he never said anything like that

Why jump on somebody when you don't have any facts

Pegula already came out and said these disgusting comments are 100% not his and he never said anything like that

You read that on the internet didn't you?

The way I understand it is the suit breaks down as this:

    - Trotter heard Jerry’s comments directly.

    - He also has a colleague say he heard Pegula say something similar.

    - Trotter reports this to the league and nothing ever comes from it.

Trotters talking points don’t focus on Pegula. They are about the leagues due diligence, which comes into question because nobody every called him to get specifics about the Jones incident. So how could they have better Pegula.

As a Bills fan I really dislike this. But as an NFL fan Pegula isn’t the story.

This is accurate. One point I am trying to understand related to the bolded...

If what the Buffalo News says is true, that everyone at the dinner with Pegula was interviewed and they all cleared him, Trotter's case against the NFL is stronger as the colleague who was at the dinner was not interviewed.

The allegation says during a zoom conference that Trotter was part of with other NFL reporters (employees), an unnamed reporter brought up a conversation that he/she with Terry.   Trotter would not have heard the comment directly, as the unnamed reporter was recalling comments made at a different time and place.  Trotters complaint is that the NFL didn't investigate the allegation that these comments were made in a satisfactory manner.

If what the Buffalo News claims is also true, that everyone at the dinner where Terry said this was interviewed and cleared him of the comments, Trotter's complaint that the NFL didn't investigate the allegations in a satisfactory manner is accurate if the person who heard the comments at the dinner (the unnamed reporter) was not interviewed.

This does not mean Terry said what he is accused of. It does, however, point to the NFL continuing to protect it's own in an effort to avoid all potential controversy.

  8. So the alleged statement was at a dinner per the Buffalo News report....

"A league source told The Buffalo News that the alleged comment was thoroughly investigated, including interviews with Terry and his wife and co-owner, Kim Pegula – who both denied the statement – and every other person at the dinner where this conversation purportedly took place."

    However, from the complaint...

“During the meeting, an NFL Media reporter described a conversation he had with Buffalo Bills owner Terry Pegula in which Mr. Pegula was speaking about the recent emphasis on social activism by NFL players, and in particular support for Black Lives Matter.”

So, if we are to believe the Buffalo News report, the NFL Media reporter was at the dinner? If that's the case, logically this reporter must have also denied the statement if we are to believe the Buffalo News article, which doesn't make sense if said reporter described the conversation "during the meeting."

    Make it make sense.

I don’t know if he said it or not but unless this was recorded or multiple people say they heard Pegula say it, I‘m siding with Terry.

Do you know he’s telling the truth?

    I don't know either way.

I certainly don't believe Terry is the saint some think he is.

The amount of criticism he is receiving and the lack of criticism Jerry Jones is receiving is odd.
