  1. http://www.cover1.net/2016/08/preseason-bills-vs-redskins-impressions/

The third preseason game for the Buffalo Bills left a lot to be desired. Most of the impressions were not good. The 90-degree heat and humidity definitely got the best of the players. Especially the Bills, a familiar storyline crept up and that is penalties. The Bills committed 13 penalties for 104 yards, more importantly, four of those resulted in first downs. For those who missed the game and just checked the box score the amount of penalties called on the Bills would catch your eye. But if you actually watched the game you would know that Ed Hochuli’s crew was horrendous. They called 23 penalties in all, for 211 yards, and yes that extended the game and tested the players mentally.

    Thanks for sharing!

  2. He did look good. Kid is going to be a beast in the NFL if he does not derail his career with off field stuff.

Any idea how long he played? I did not see the game, but Mario did not make the stat sheet.

14 plays total for Zeke +1.1 overal +1 rushing. 7 carries for 48 yds and 1 MT forced. 17 yds after contact.

  3. Well we're not gonna know what Powell is really capable of til we have Tyrod throwing to him in the next preseason game. EJ can make any wide receiver look questionable.

I like Powell alot and i like his route running especially the first few moves he makes as doon as the ball is hiked. He isn't a speedy guy but can get separation. I would say in quick release short to medium throws, he's a perfect fit.

Absolutely agree, he is shifty can separate at the top of the route...

Not allowed to post what stuff? Links?

    Yes. It's considered self promotion.

Maybe just start a thread and describe what you mean and want for a discussion and then a member can post a link to your site. It's a valuable resource.

Thanks. I'm trying to work something out w TBD but no response. But either way I appreciate all of your guys support.

Hmmm I understand the rule, but this should be an exception. Valuable insight in every post.

👍. Means A lot my friend! Tell the MODS :)
  5. He is getting grief from Coach for not getting the " little" things sorted. His one handed grab shows he is talented enough. He looks shifty has game speed.

You sound like Rex and Roman.

    well done!

Then what is Rex's play here?

    smoke? or motivational?

Looking forward to it E !

Motivation. Rex knows that Powell could contribute in the slot for us. This is to see who pushes through the preseason plateau and who doesn't.

  6. Love your site man. Good stuff as the others have stated!

Can't get enough of the true football analysis with all the pre-determined judgments, agendas and egos put off to the side.

    Keep up the good work.

Thanks! Check it out today I posted a 53 man roster projection.

Keep it up!! You are becoming one of my favorite Twitter follows. You work's really good Erik!!

Thanks Kirby. Share it when you can. I am not allowed to post the stuff here nemore.

  7.

Amen to that. Love your work

Thanks! Be sure to check back often. Not allowed to post links to start discussions.

Is the suggestion that Woods did something different by adjusting his route to make the ILB adjust ("attacked..."), or that the play as designed did that?

I really know next to nothing about this game. But I'm curious how much latitude the receiver has there and, if he is adjusting or doing some freelancing, what he would see that would make him do that?

Edit: rewatched it, and it is clear you are saying he changed his route. Did he do it to get open, and the by product got Shady open? Or was his intent to get Shady clear of the LB?

    kj

Woods extended the route and attacked the ILB to give Taylor a window to throw to shady

  8. The protection on that play was textbook good.

There was a hold on Miller that wasnt called. But the lineman did a great job of passing lineman off to each other.

He is the real deal on this stuff. I couldn't agree more, aristocrat.

Furthermore, man, if TT throws that ball where Shady is headed it is either knocked incomplete or is an interception. Weird to think a toss that generally looks sloppy was actually perfect.

    Thanks!! Appreciate the share guys!

yea, it's great seeing the stuff focus just on the bills. Shady and TT have some connection as that was the only spot that bill can be put. if shady one hands that or knocks it they probably pick that. great play.

In addition to the McCoy as a receiver issue, the play where Tyrod threw the perfect pass to Reggie Bush down the sideline where he beat the Defender but bobbled the ball was a play with both Bush and Shady in the lineup together. That should work in the passing game, too.

You will see alot of that grouping this year..I expect a ton of running plays IE option etc..

Great analysis. Love that he noticed Woods picking up the LB.

I don't understand the people who can watch a play like that and want to complain about McCoy's contract. He is an incredible, elite talent.

There is a breakdown of the game on the site! Check it out

  9. I broke down Rex Ryan's Field Pack play call on the site. Four man rush with Cover 6 on the back end. Vs. Trips Bunch the defense must check "box". Sooo many audibles/checks for players to learn...Do you guys enjoy learning the ins and outs of this defense?

  10.

The video on the site is very well done. I like how you describe what we are seeing, then show it, then roll it a 2nd time. Slo-mo really helps too. I had forgotten you were "dot net" until google helped me out.

And the kid does look very very well trained.

Thanks! I wanted to put out there details that we as fans take for granted. Every portion of the game is broken down into drills. Then the players r the ones to put it all together on the field..

Thank you, I know I read that somewhere! I didn't seem possible, but.... As you may know, some things you read on the Internet may not be true.

Probably not--you would most likely lose blitzing ability.

My overarching point was that I think Darby is probably the best suited slot corner on the team aside from Robey, and that I think Seymour is better suited to the boundary than he is to the slot, but again that's up for debate.

Yeah that could b true. After breaking down Seymours technique I think Darby and Seymour r similar. Either way vs 11 personnel I want Gils Darby and Seymoir out there. Love our DBs this year. Check the video out he's impressive.

Robey 27 pass rushes 1 Sk 4 pressures 2015. Not much either way.

  12. He may be able to handle the slot corner position if his play against the run can improve...my opinion, as of now, is that he should be the primary backup on the boundary.

If NRC were to miss any time, I think I'd bring Seymour into the game in nickel situations on the boundary and kick Darby into the slot.

I don't think u lose or gain vs run betw he and Robey.

When I re-watched that game I texted my sons saying how great he looked. And on the very next play he got called for PI. I feel responsible for that. My bad....

Check the site I did a video breakdown but I am not allowed to post it. U will love it.
