Who are we kidding? Until we prove otherwise, the patsies*** will always be the 800 lb gorilla in the room.

Raiders always scare me (almost as much as their fans). They've always had an Us Against The World mentality and sometimes it works in their favor. And sometimes they just look dumb. If The Bills are up by 7 to start the 2nd half I look for the chippiness to start. It's what they do. The Lynch thing is a perfect example.

I haven't seen the all 22, but Tyrod still missed some wide open recievers. One in particular was a deep pass to Thompson. While he completed the pass, their was a reciever (Holmes maybe?) that had his man beaten and would've probably been a td. I'm good with Tyrod for now, but again he's missing big plays
The way I understand it, Tyrod has a history with Thompson and just maybe he had more confidence in completing the pass to him than Holmes.

On the other hand, and to bring up an old debate, "this style of winning is not sustainable."
I see one game left on the schedule that should be a given win--Indy. Every other game will be tight, even the Jets. If the breaks don't go the Bills way, they can easily lose more than they win the rest of the way. While I'm optimistic about the way this team plays and is coached, it's still too soon to say they will break the drought.
This has been my feeling all season so far... until last Sunday. This team will blow out nobody, but have shown the ability to play with anybody. The breaks, both good and bad, are going to happen and this coaching staff has demonstrated the ability to adjust on the fly. Beginning to trust they have an answer for most things. The Bucs no huddle puts up 27 and our passing game comes to life and puts up 30. This is what good teams do, pick up the slack when one phase of the games is lacking. This style is not just sustainable, it's preferable. My question is; is that what we just saw, or a combination of good luck and a bad Bucs defense? Hope for the former, prepared (emotionally) for the latter.

The Tyrod we saw Sunday is a QB that can win us games and just maybe play a big part in ending The Drought. The question is did we see an aberration or an evolution?

Great win over the Bucs yesterday! That was a great ending. Hope you guys take down Oakland. Love you all.
Thanks Ice. Always good to hear from you. How are the GB fans weathering the QB crisis up there?

Don't expect the cavalry to come in until next year. Depth wise it will be a patchwork group until we address it in next years draft and FA.
Agreed. Wonder when we'll get updates on Gaines and Poyer.
-
I think an A for the DB's and a B+ for the LB's is being really kind.
After Gaines went out the communication/coverage was pretty bad. Multiple times a Buccaneer caught a pass with no one even in the camera shot from the Buffalo Bills.
Beginning to believe in McDermott. He will find a way to fix the kinds of things every team faces during the season. It's what a real coach does.
-
I am curious to see what they do with the Corner Back position. Gaines is fighting out there and so is Wright but neither is healthy. Mabin isn't the answer if we have to replace Gaines long term. I think we should bring in a starter like Nolan Carroll or I even wonder about Sam Shields. I get they are unemployed for some reason but we can't be depending on two healthy CBs the rest of the season with one of them being a rookie.
That Rookie saved our bacon big time yesterday. I'd gladly take two more just like him.

They'd better find an answer to up tempo O or this could get ugly later in the year.

Holy Crap!!!

Hope nobody's looking for a clutch drive at this point.

If Jones can get it together a WR package of O'Leary (Clay), Matthews, Thompson (Reilly), and Zay could actually produce.
-
Transplant, I always enjoy what you have to say but we've been here before, and I think your optimism is about 45 hours premature.
-
Call it Pravda, since that's what it is.
You're not actually saying The Washington Post is a shill for the Trump White House, are you?
-
The difference being, I'm being an a-hole on purpose.
Guess I don't see the distinction. I'm no expert, but seems to me there's not much difference from one butt hole to the next. Is there?

Nice story, and that was the only proper response to abandoning Brooklyn. But really ... you could've waited for the Mets instead of switching to the Yankees ...
You're right, and God punished me by dumping me in VietNam 69-70 and I missed moon landings, The Mets and the Jets. That's when I started to believe in Karma.

No, I'm really a Pats fan and I just wanted to stop by to tell you I feel sorry for you. I mean, we lost a couple of games this year. Totes the same, brodowski.
*I don't care if OP is a "friend." I call my friends out all the time when they act like a-holes. It is what good friends do. Would you want a friend to walk around looking like a tool or would you let them know they are acting like a tool?
And I'm sure all your friends are really thankful to have someone who is qualified to determine what actions of theirs qualify for A-hole-ishness. Considering your comments to Ice isn't that a little of the pot calling the kettle black. Or maybe just your brother's keeper.

I think another 17 years sans playoffs would do it. Of course, I'll be on social security by then, and would likely care more about where my next can of cat food is coming from.
Jeez, I sure hope you planned a little better than that for your golden years.

The Bills moving out of Buffalo. That would have done it. Immediately. None of this "I grew up in Brooklyn in the 50's so I still support the Dodgers" crap you hear from the occasional old timer.
Other than that, or perhaps just losing interest in football someday, nothing will make me give up on Bills fandom. Come on, if we haven't already, what do you think would do it now?
When the Dodgers moved my old man and I wore black armbands for the whole first season they were in LA. We mourned the loss and he never watched or listened to another game (to the best of my knowledge). He passed soon after that first season and wasn't around to disown me for becoming a Yankee fan. Same with the Bills. Would morn the loss.

Still... Someone can be sincere and patronizing at the same time.
Also, the Packers are like one of my top five hated teams. Rodgers and Matthews are the main reasons to hate them. 1 guy is a cheap shot artist and the other guy bitches for a flag every time he is touched. Hopefully they both die from anal warts.
Top 5 hated
Patriots (and their fans)
Cowboys
Seahawks (and their fans)
Dolphins (and their fans)
Packers (and any fan who likes Rodgers or Matthews)
Yeah, but how do you really feel?

We'd be lucky to have had the front office and coaching they've had that lead to their success on the field.
Drought will end: Taylor is here to stay.......for now

Hope Darnold is getting good advice and stays. Doesn't look ready at all. Rudolph and Mayfield seem to show the most Potential with Mayfield being the chancier option. That being said, down by 4, with the game on the line and 2 minutes left, Mayfield would be my choice.
