The majority of posters have actually said he will be our 3rd, 4th or 5th Wr. But you would have actually had to read this whole thread to know that. Holmes is 28, he's 6 foot 5 and was buried on the raiders depth chart behind better receivers. He has had some decent production when used and he can contribute on special teams too. Bringing up Mario Williams instead of providing any real insight or analysis just shows the kind of posts you like to make.So the Raiders, a playoff team last year, potentially lost their #4 WR, who caught 16 passes last year, but he will compete for the #2 position on our Bills, and folks in the same breath want to know why we are likely not to be picked to make the playoffs in 2017?
Maybe we should re-sign Mario, hoping he can play at this 2014 level too, he's available....lol

He's solid depth at center and guard. What is wrong with that? When Wood went down and Groy started 7 games, did anyone notice a difference in the middle of the line? No, and that's the point. He's cheap depth that could possibly be a starter again in the future.Groy has 6 games or so...was a backup that no one knew about,,,now we all drinking the kool aid again.

It just drives me nuts to see some of the nonsense that people say. The only team signing Holmes would be acceptable as getting help to an embarrassment of talent at a position, is in Buffalo. The same fanbase that thought Hunter could fill any type of role. We were told Salas would do something. Counting on Goodwin to help out. It goes on and on about trying to get junk to somehow be a reliable option.
Andre Holmes managed 14 catches each of the last two seasons with Derek Carr (a top 10 QB in league). Oakland was also ran a more passing based offense.
During Holmes career in Oakland, they went out and got Crabtree. They then drafted Cooper first round. That should tell you how much confidence they had in Holmes.
He had three touchdowns last year and four the year before. In 2014 he had 47 catches for 693 yards and another four scores. He has good size, decent speed, and would absolutely be a good fit for our third, fourth or fifth WR spot. I think you're clueless when you say he wouldn't even make it out of camp or add value to the team.

Hang in there my fellow bills buddies I have definitely been there! I believe the rough times make us appreciate the good times even more.
The things that helped me were improving my health, eliminating negativity and negative people, strengthening my relationships with friends/family and forgiving/forgetting the things that kept running through my mind 24/7. Don't be too prideful to seek help to talk about it with people either. Also, the easiest thing to do is to numb yourself by drinking and using but I truly believe this doesn't help, it only makes things worse.

I believe Whaley should and will be fired after this coming season , he is loser and is putting together a hot garbage roster. Signing garbage players that no other wants. I mean why did we waste so much for (2) fullbacks? and yet no WR'S?
This loser should have been canned with REX, i believe Russ saved his butt to save face. Russ Brandon was the football fool who first gave this moron a chance and we are seeing the results. Team is a car wreck, this a passing league and we have no quality DB'S OR any depth at WR.
Holes everywhere and Whaley signing no name losers.

I think Trump's success will largely be tied to what he does to the middle class. So far it seems only the exxon mobile and goldman sachs people of the world are reaping the rewards. All politicians make unrealistic promises but Trump promised the world to the so-called forgotten American. If he gets off twitter, stops creating enemies left and right and keeps increasing jobs and consumer confidence who knows, maybe he will actually make it four whole years.

The multiple number of current investigations will reveal if there was collusion or not. It could just be a lot of smoke but right now none of us truly know. If there is something it will be released drip by drip until the 2018 and 2020 elections.

Whaley and the front office keep quietly getting it done. Brown could absolutely be a serviceable 3rd or 4th receiver imo.

For the people saying Aaron Williams is a much better safety than this guy, stop. Maybe two or three years ago. Hyde was a solid contributor on a playoff team and Aaron Williams might not be able to even hit people anymore.
It cracks me up how people say he sucks or we are going to suck without even playing a preseason game yet, let alone a real game week 1.

I keep hearing he's a Swiss Army knife who can line up all over. Has playoff and big game experience, and is smart enough to predict plays and formations from offenses.
Not to mention 6.5 million a year is pretty cheap. We would have paid Aaron that much anyways. Hyde is going into his prime, Aaron is past his.

This could be considered a little bit of an upgrade and not only because of kickoffs.
50+ field goals in career:
Hauschka- 67% (16-24)
Carpenter- 59% (24-41)
We will still have some extra point drama though unfortunately.

What a joke, I bet his friends tell him to stop being so negative all the time.
We have a lot of the same pieces from last year, a new coach, a draft coming up, and we have averaged 8 wins a year the last three years. The sky is not falling, in fact now is the time to be optimistic.
Ittakestime, If you want to provide real analysis on our cap situation, or free agents you think we should get, or draft picks that you like, please let us know. But your pessimistic shtick is getting real old.
