  1. Josh Allen > Cam Newton but sadly Newton made the Bowl in year 5. Allen is in year 6 and might not even get the chance to go dancing. I’ve been a McD defender, thought Beane held him back, but McD is making bad decisions in critical moments putting it all on line on defense but not letting Allen go for it in same situation. Like after the throw to Gabe, why not at least line up and draw them offside? Worse case take a TO dial up a banger and go get it.

Im guessing you just know the name Norwood, or arent really a long time fan? Is this bc bass missed wide right?

Norwood was an excellent clutch Pro Bowl kicker. I know this bc i own his probowl jersey...but thats besides the point. The point is, the Bills dont make their 1st 2 SB w/out scotty. For the time,  he was as good as one could hope their kicker could be. Not unlike Bass for that matter. Please use better analogies where you understand the material you are sourcing

Used in the context that like Norwood who peaked in 1988 and won AFC kicker of year, he was regressing by 1990. Bass similarly is being out kicked when our opponents are near perfect in same games, on same field, under same conditions. I get the down and distances vary; but Bass has continually come up small like Norwood did in XXV. To win a big game you need Vinaterri not Norwood. You need a kicker with ice in his veins. So the question as I see it is Bass is in year 4, is already 26, and fast approaching a point where is age and leg might be wearing down.

  3. I strongly believe Elam is not the problem. The defensive philosophy / loyalty is the issue. Elam picked Mahomes and dominated a playoff game. Played hurt all season.

Bench Poyer and Von. They are hurt and costing reps to more able bodies.

Put Benford at Safety. Move Hyde to centerfield play him deep or bring down as robber.

Play press man with Elam & Douglas.
Play handsy it works and is rarely called holding.

    Blitz Benford and Taron 50%.

    Send Bernard on blitzes.

    Play Floyd and Rousseau more.

Use Epenesa as 3rd down PR, move Rousseau inside with Oliver to rush on 3rd down.

Blitzing is fine, but we need to do it with handsy coverage.

  4. More importantly Terrence Pegula is no young man, he’s 72, when the average life expectancy of a man is 78. Pegula is rich but that only buys you a few years unless they are a drunk like the Colts owner. We might need a new owner in 10 years. Is Kim capable of running the team or will it be sold to the highest bidder?

And 78.3% would be Norwood's second best season.  And 6 points better than Norwood's career average.  Norwood only hit 66% of his tries from 40-49 yds in his best year.

    Just some perspective

And this ain’t 1990 where a good QB completion % is 60%. The game has changed bro.

    correct

    a. secures control of the ball in his hands or arms prior to the ball touching the ground; and

    b. touches the ground inbounds with both feet or with any part of his body other than his hands; and

    c. after (a) and (b) have been fulfilled, performs any act common to the game (e.g., tuck the ball away, extend it forward, take an additional step, turn upfield, or avoid or ward off an opponent), or he maintains control of the ball long enough to do so.

Anyone who thinks the defense didn't let the team down by giving up 37 has odd standards for what good defense is.

Agreed. It’s a lot like saying yeah the defense was good for 3 quarters so the offense should have built a bigger lead. Basswood had 2 misses and Allen inevitably was going to have a TO. I think he’s 13-14 in games of 40 passes or more and was picked on pass 40. It’s a big ask to have 0 TOs.

Same. I barely blame refs but that 1st half was brutal, unacceptable and a disgrace to officials across the league. I just couldn't help but think they were clearly favoring Philly and we still went up 10.

That horse collar resulted in a missed fg , likely would have been a TD.

Buf should've definitely won in regulation and in OT, Davis was wide open ugh. The O is back though.

This will only make the SB documentary that much better

Get to the bye and go on a run they're fully capable of doing

They are at the bye, unless McD wants to cancel it and turn it into a push up contest. I hear he is great at meaningless victories. Bring back tug of war too!
