  1. I'm no doctor but I think in the case of hamstrings, doctors rely on lot on the observations of the patient.

If Shady's anxious to get back on the field because it's a big game, he might lie to the doctor and say everything feels great. In which case, the doctor will clear him to play.

    Hopefully Shady didn't do that.

I agree. Shady did say himself that if he's not 100%, he's not going to play. I know this is what players say all the time but I guess it's my job as a fan to believe his word.

  2. If a doctor (not a head coach or a player), let me repeat, a doctor, clears a player to be able to practice and play on Sunday, then that means the player is healthy enough to play. Plain and simple. I highly doubt that they would risk their career just so the Bills come out with a victory on Sunday.

Every player is 100% in pain in the NFL like Rex said, but injuries are different. This is the NFL and you expect toughness from players and expect them to play through pain. I mean, usually when us "regular folks" have a cast on our arms, we're pretty much limited on the day to day stuff we do. These guys have casts and then go rush the passer still.

At the end of the day, hamstrings are tricky as someone else said but if the doctors said, hey, you're good to go, then my guess is he's good to go.

  3. Leo and Darby both got drafted with the same positives and same negatives. They can stay step by step with the guy they're covering but just can't seem to locate the ball. Now I'll be very honest. I thought we were doomed without Leo after watching Darby get burned in preseason but man that kid has impressed me and I feel comfortable seeing him as our starter.

That doesn't mean that I don't want Leo back at corner though. It will take at least 3 or 4 weeks of actual football speed for Leo to feel comfortable imo. I was actually wondering myself, (after hearing about Aaron missing time) when Leo comes back, what if we moved Darby to safety? But reading about the option of moving Leo to safety kind of makes more sense to me. Leo is hard hitter, can keep up with his man and can locate the ball better playing safety rather than corner since his back won't be turned to the football. It actually may be just what the Bills need.

Can you just imagine if Darby keeps getting better and better each week? Our secondary could be Darby, Gilmore, A. Williams, McKelvin (all on the field at the same time). The reason I don't mention Corey Graham is only because he's up there in age and don't know how much more he got in him but the way Corey is playing, he looks like he got another good 5 years left.

This is one of those "good problems" we have in our hands. We have too many talented players in the secondary and I honestly can't remember us having a problem like that before. Hopefully Rex can find a way to squeeze McKelvin on the field at the same time with Darby and Gilmore.

  4. I know for sure our Special teams coach should be fired. After we scored in the 4th quarter, we kicked off, the Giants returner let the ball come out to tge 2 yard line and bobbled it and still found a way to get to the 28 yard line. I was expecting an Easley tackle or something but that kid can't do everything himself. Coaching on special teams definitely is a concern of mine for this team.
