The Dolphins, Steelers and possibly Jaguars might have something to say about the Pats game being forfeited. And the Ravens may be unimpressed if this is given to the Bengals.

But there are far more important things going on at the moment.

Depending on Hamlin's health I can see the other teams saying do whatever Buffalo thinks is best.  This isn't an office environment, these players are a tight family unit, a brotherhood, this isn't like some random guy in accounting leaving in an ambulance and asking everyone to come to work tomorrow.  I pray Hamlin recovers and that we awake to great news, and that the path ahead is clear and bright.

It's a logistical nightmare.  A tie gives Cinci the division where a loss gives the Ravens a chance.  A tie puts KC in first seed.  I don't envy the NFL in sorting this.

At the same time I honestly don't care about any of that right now.

Me either, forfeit the game, forfeit Sunday, give us the 3 seed.  None of it matters right now.

I know I griped about it before but I am seeing A LOT of love for the Bengals.

Why would this bother you? This is probably the biggest Monday night football game in NFL history, both sides are playing winning football and both are going to get plenty of love because both sides believe they are the better team and the network is going to hype this up to the max.  538 ranks each game by Quality, Importance, and Overall Rating... check out the Monday Night rating...  Burrow and the Bengals were in the Super Bowl last season, we weren't.  That Super Bowl appearance will still be spinning the heads of many.

Biggest urban legend on this board.

Truth: Trent Edwards sucked badly before during and after the hit in Arizona, which was a legitimately hard hit..  He was horrible from day one but his best statistical game came after that hit.  There is a good chance he was drafted only because Bill Walsh promoted him to then GM Marv Levy and this was done as a practical joke between two old friends.

A reminded for all about how most of us felt at the time "right now 10 yards seem pretty far but you don't have to use a car"

  5. No plans to move game kickoff according to the Chicago Sun Times https://chicago.suntimes.com/bears/2022/12/20/23517075/bears-news-bills-matt-eberflus-justin-fields-stats-rushing-injury-update-week-16-schedule

"Eberflus said there haven’t been any precautionary conversations about pushing back the noon kickoff, but there are logistical concerns if the snow proves problematic on the roads. The Bears would typically go downtown Friday and stay in a hotel."

OMG!  How many of you would have been happy to take 11-3 at this point if it could have been guaranteed before the season  vs no guarantee on 14-0?  It's fair to criticize anything I suppose but this is what success looks like.  Just win baby...

It's just a basic question.  Is Dorsey improving the offense or is the offense making Dorsey look better than he is?   We can be happy while still questioning the play calling/performance of the team.

Our O-line is suspect, short of Marshawn Lynch I haven't seen many running backs around here that can gain yards without a gap being created for them.  I thought Cook was meant to be more of a short pass catching running back, that seems like it could be effective with this team but it doesn't seem to be utilized much so far.  Why is that?  We've got to find a way to run the ball just enough to get the D to respect it.

  7. Re: Dorsey - My seats are near an exit and in front of the booth where the coaches sit.  So I was able to get out of the stadium quickly.  When I was walking out near the ticket booth a golf cart with Dorsey and another coach went past me, Dorsey looked like a guy who's puppy had just been stolen, not like a guy who just watched his team win at the last second.  Made me wonder what's been said to him during the game.

  8. Tyreek nursing a sore ankle, he'll rest it all week and they'll tape it up but there's little chance of it feeling good by halftime in a cold and snowy Buffalo.  Add in the return of Tre (since the last Miami game), Miami's brutal 3 week road trip and Tua's recent struggles and this game would have blowout all over it... if our receivers could go back to catching the ball and we could get a serviceable running game going.

No kidding.  I had the flu in 2019, never been through anything like that before, 5 weeks flat on my back in bed.  Realized then that the few other times in my life I thought I had flu I must have just had a bad cold.  Jets may get pumped full of saline and meds to get through this game but if they have any kind of serious flu they are going to struggle.
