  1. If it weren't a division game, I'd say it's kind of a throw away game since it's week one. The interviews since the end of last year have been about getting hot at the end of the year and using the beginning of the year as a tune up.

With the Bills schedule, I don't know if they can afford to do it this year. The last 8 games are a gauntlet, as it looks right now. Last year they came out smoking hot and fizzled at the end.

0:50 into the video you can see Spencer Brown get absolutely obliterated by a linebacker.

But yes, Torrence played well. I am excited about him. He is the first piece in rebuilding this o-line. We will need a new Center, RT and LT in the next year or two.

Saw this too. Embarrassing! He's typically tougher than that.

I noticed Josh looked super antsy also. I have some confidence that will ease but it was jarring to see that again for sure

I think they scared the hell out of him to not do anything to get touched or hurt. The scramble he had, he literally stopped and turned around instead of just running forward.

I think the game plan from the coach was "you can play, but don't get dirty."

Good OTs don’t grow on trees. You can’t just load up at OT. You kind of just have to get it right. If your guy can’t play then you find another one.

Dawkins is showing signs of decline. He’s still a pretty much the same guy but there’s now some moments he’s beat clean in pass protection. Weight as he’s getting older might be a problem.

I don’t know how they currently feel about Spencer Brown. Their actions say they love him. They moved an above average RT Daryl Williams inside to RG because they had to get Brown on the field as a rookie. He was terrible with small flashes of elite run blocking. Daryl Williams might still be our RT today if they never made that move. He’s retired now but who knows what happens.

There are some similarities between Spencer Brown and Dawson Knox. Raw talent but very inconsistent early in their careers. Knox became more consistent and turned it into a new contract. We’ll see about Brown.

Poyer stays taking bad angles. He does it all the time. Especially in the run game. Nothing new. He’ll be fine because it’s a passing league. I will say this though, Warren is a slow RB and dusted Poyer.

The main problem on that run was that there was no edge set. The RB went right down the line and was allowed to turn up the field. I didn't see who the end was, but he's got to push that run to the inside.

But Poyer still should have cleaned that up.

  5. He should excel in the dumpoff role underneath with his pass catching ability. If he can turn it upfield faster than old man Singletary could, it will do alot more damage.

I think Josh lost faith in the dumpoffs after watching Singletary struggle for the last few years.

  6. I think that with the addition of Kincaid, we'll see more of Knox staying in to block/chip/safety valve. They did it last you too, as the line struggled, but didn't have another TE to effectively work the route tree.

I think we line up more in 12 personnel, but for this reason instead of both TEs going out on a route.

You'd think they'd have more energy to spend on the Eagles considering that the reigning conference champs are in their division.

But I have noticed in the national media that the Bills are no longer the darlings to make a run like they were last year. A lot of them are putting the Phins and Jets over us never mind the Bengals and Chiefs.

I don't like it, but I'd rather the team stay hungry and have all the blackboard material. Last year, we were the Super Bowl for a lot of teams we faced. Let's see some B game

This time of year, the biggest media markets get the accolades to drive the hype coming into the season. That's why Miami, Dallas, NY, Vegas, LA are constantly being discussed year after year no matter what teams they roll out.

Then the season starts and it's KC, Buff, Phil, Cin, etc, that join the conversation due to the play on the field.

Retirement isn't doing nothing.  Maybe he enjoys the part time job with little pressure to perform.

I have to admit, when thinking about what to do when I retire, the idea of being able to take people around to learn about a passion of mine has high appeal to me.  This is the type of gig that I might be interested in when I retire.  It keeps you active, moving around, meeting new people - it's a pretty healthy thing to be doing in retirement.  Plus it's supplemental income.

But do midget orgies really need a tour guide?
