  1. Also, would put in a plug for Jalen Harrel. Very athletic and may just be scratching the surface of his potential. 6th round would be a good spot for him. I like McGregor too. He is relentless. Wouldn't worry about Sanristil's size. He plays big and is very versatile...could play him almost anywhere in the secondary. Former WR and understands the game. His character is off-the-charts outstanding.
  2. I have Michigan season tickets and can share my thoughts. Many of these guys will wind up being solid pros. For the lineman, Nugent, Keegan and Zintner will all be solid pros with starting potential. Am less sold on the offensive tackles but Jones may continue to develop...good athlete. Sanristil is terrific (similar to Honey Badger). Smart, athletic leader. Would love to have him on the Bills. Wilson will be a great WR2/3. If he gets a clean release, he will be open and is tough for his size with good hands. AJ Barner won't last past rounds 4/5 and will be a solid TE2/3. The guy that I would like to see on the Bills is Cornelius Johnson who is very similar to Gabe Davis but makes more contested catches. Won't last past round 4. 6'3" with 4.44 speed. Excellent hands. Great around the sidelines and in scramble mode/adjusting his route to give the QB a target on broken plays. Smart, athletic.
  3. I watch a ton of Big10 football and if anyone takes Christian Hackenburg ahead of Jake Ruddock, they are foolish. Ruddock had a great season under Jim Harbaugh. Review his bowl game against Florida. He was outstanding against a bunch of future NFLers. He is great at reading defenses and making pre-snap adjustments. That is part of what makes Tom Brady so good. I would take him in the 4th. As to other Big10 QBs, Ruddock outplayed Cook head-to-head, and Cardale Jones has a ton of ability but not has not yet demonstrated the film room discipline to make use of his talent.
  4. I am at U of M and my son knows Taylor. He is a team leader who is respected in the locker room and very well liked on campus. He is a good kid and a good friend who always has his friends' backs and will stand up for his friend or teammate in any conflict (regardless of whether his friend is in the right or in the wrong). He plays with passion and a nastiness that you want on the field. He has right tackle mentality and physicality and a left tackle athleticism. He can play either side and if on the right would allow the tight-end to split out wide since he could be left on an island to pass block. The "assault" is a non-issue. It involved a Ohio State fan who hung out on the U of M campus after the Ohio State win. He was drunk and obnoxius and really had no business being there. (There is no way that I would hang around Columbus if U of M won there...it's asking for trouble). The altercation involved a U of M fan and the OSU guy. Lewan may have intervened to end the altercation but may have done so in a way that favored the U of M fan. The police wanted nothing to do with it. It is coming out now because the guy went to the media to create trouble. Performance on the field is not an issue. Taylor had a good year. U of M didn't...the Offensive Coordinator (now gone) was terrible and the offense was disorganized. Lewan did his best under the circumstances. In short, if Lewan is there at 9 and the Bills don't trade back and don't take him, it would be a huge mistake.
