The worst part was when Beene got rid of Wood and Incognito and didn't get anything in return.

I don't think KB has much value. He's easily the worst #1 receiver the Bills have had since I started following them. I started in the mid 80s.

If I remember correctly, I think he wanted some control over the roster as well.

Its pretty simple. He was really bad. Like, all-time bad. You bench someone who performs that poorly. Its quite logical.

The legend of Kyle Peko.

Thanks for putting it all in perspective. The point is: our success will take time. Instant gratification be damned.
I thought we'd have to endure growing pains at quarterback. I just didn't realize how painful the rest of the team would be.

You can't do this poll without Gary Marangi. (edit: I didn't see your qualification - he took over because of injury)
"In 1976, Joe Ferguson was leading all quarterbacks in most statistical categories going into the 7th game against the New England Patriots, Ferguson sustained a back injury and was sidelined for the season. Marangi replaced him and finished the season completing only 82 of 232 passes (35.3%) for 998 yards, 7 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. His 35.3 completion percentage is the worst all-time completion in a season (minimum 200 attempts)."

I think he's going to do a great job. I've been impressed with the flow and playcalling so far. Seriously.

They should have been force-feeding Richie his meds!

He wasn't here long, but he always did a great job of interacting with the fans - in person and on twitter.

These are fantastic!

It looks like Scott Berchtold is giving Vince Lombardi's desk to the Hall of Fame. Does this somehow lift the curse and allow the Packers to win a game in Buffalo?

You should make a poll on this subject
That's way too advanced for me.

Terrel Owens has just run a 4.43 40 yard dash at the age of 44. Here's my plan: sign him for the last 6 games of the season. Superbowl.
Remember when we gave him the key to the city? Well, according to Wikipedia, there were stipulations. He never earned it!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Keys_to_the_City_in_the_United_States#Buffalo
That only means one thing: unfinished business. T.O. will be supremely motivated. Sure the Hall of Fame is a big deal, but he's gonna want to come back and finally earn that key.

He was the frikin worst. Useless. Poisonous. Obnoxious.

Very true but a lot more information has been released since 1995. We also know some of the bizarre things OJ has done since then, including nearly a decade long stint for armed robbery. I think that many of the people who were crying tears of joy might have a different view now
1I think this is why you have so many new people on your list. You're only considering what people think now - not how people felt at the time when each of these controversies was at its height.

I don't think OJ ever caused polarization among the fans. When he played and up until the murders, everybody loved him. After his trial, everybody hated him. Consensus hero to consensus villain. While it's true those are polar opposite extremes, he never caused polarization among fans in terms of our opinions about him.
I was in a waiting room at Sisters Hospital when the verdict was read. Half of the waiting room was cheering. Meanwhile, there was a middle-aged white woman next to me who was literally crying saying, "I can't believe this". I can't say any other Bills player has elicited that wide of a range of emotions.

Ray Bentley. Dude was writing childrens' books instead of practicing. It drove people nuts.

Even in recent history I would say Watkins is more polarizing than Taylor. Watkins was drafted high in a controversial trade up, showed flashes of immense talent, was oft injured, questions abound whether he was ever utilized right and the debate rages on.
Most everyone agrees Taylor is a limited QB. The debate is whether you run an offense that suits his game and try to build a great D and team around him and Dilfer your way to a Championship or sell the farm and draft a blue chip prospect.
I agree with this completely. Watkins is definitely more controversial than Taylor.

I wasn't around in the 60's, but how has the Mad Bomber, Daryle Lamonica not been mentioned?

Nah, Flutie was definitely more divisive. It's not even close.
When RJ left, nobdoy cared. When Flutie left, there were "Bills fans" (as if they were) who openly rooted for Flutie and the Chargers to beat the Bills in 2001.
Also, when Flutie played with the Chargers in 2001, it was interesting to watch the San Diego fan base go through the same exact BS Bills fans went through.
1Dear heavens. I forgot about that game. The whole thing was made worse by Bucky Gleason writing that hit piece on Flutie in the week before the game.

Flutie has become less polarizing as time has gone on, because Rob Johnson's career amounted to nothing. ...but at the time there were a lot of people in Rob Johnson's corner because when he was good, he was really good (including, "The Coach" Chuck Dickerson who railed on this nightly). There was a sense of hope with Rob - that he could become a top-line franchise quarterback. In fact, he may belong on this list more than Doug does.
I honestly think Zay Jones is a decent wide receiver

I agree. He's looked much better. Let's not forget that it took Moulds a few years to develop.
