  1. That's a small thing people take for granted. I knew some kids on the Coastal Carolina sports teams while I lived in Myrtle Beach...one thing they always spoke about was how appreciative they were that a teammate knew how to cut their hair. Most kids like this always want to be looking sharp, and can sometimes cut their hair once a week. That's anywhere from $40-$100+ a month on keeping their hair cut clean and "looking fresh," as they would say. It helps to save a lot of money when a friend can do it right.

On a sidenote, in regards to Wright...I would absolutely bring him in, he's no worse than Gragg and Gray, and could challenge both.

I don't see the Bucs taking him back, they drafted Austin Seferian-Jenkins and I expect him to breakout rather soon, probably this year.

  2. Whatever gets me exciting football and a 1st round QB next year.

(No, I don't want them to lose for the QB. I'd like to see a Wild-Card game, with no QB separating from the pack.)

Build the team up as much as possible, get the schemes in place...drop Cook or Hackenberg or whomever in at QB next year.

  3. You don't win a ring in the NBA without an elite player. The Pacers didn't have one. The fact that he got them as far as he did every year without a single player averaging even 20 points is a testimonial to his coaching ability.

He had three years on his resume because that's what he signed up for. He told everyone he'd coach 3 seasons and that's what he did. He took a team that hadn't done anything since their ABA days and took them to the brink of their first NBA title with teams that clearly weren't at the top of the heap talent wise. You can use the championship thing to say he isn't great (which seems astoundingly stupid coming from a BILLS fan) but saying he was "middling at best" is !@#$ing retarded.

    :worthy:
  4. Yes, "EJ Manuel can't play and will never be an NFL QB". Yes, I'll take anyone over EJ.

Here's what you're missing; the Bills are in a 17 year search for a franchise QB. We have drafted QBs in nearly every Round (including a couple 1st Rounders), traded for starting QBs and yanked them off the waiver wire. We're still in the search. Manuel has been given the chance and puked all over it.

    Next up!

Well, if EJ Manuel can't play, neither can Simms. They are both gabage. Whaley has yet to draft a QB he can call his own.

And if Matt Simms is the QB that is "next up," this team might go 4-12.

You can't fix Stupid - to quote a famous standup

Yes, I am stupid because I have an opinion and it differs from yours...I just don't drink the Kool-Aid.

Let me know who is left on your Matt Simms Bandwagon come August.

EDIT: Still waiting to hear a legitimate reason why a team as QB-needy as the Bills, let this QB walk for nothing?

  5. Right. He will be 27 when the season starts, actually next month, and hasn't had quite as many carries as I though.

He is right at that point where RBs start to trend down.

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1271412-why-and-when-do-nfl-running-backs-start-to-decline

Frank Gore is 32 and has had some of his best years, the past 4 years, with Roman as his coordinator.

McCoy has at least 3 more solid, very good years in him, in my opinion.

With his role and what they are paying him...I expect a pro-bowl caliber year from him.

  6. If Matt Simms was any good and had any chance at being a quality NFL QB, or even a 2nd string, Chan Gailey would have had him in the competition with the Jets. They need a QB as bad as the Bills do, why just let him go if he was any good?

He is no different than Jeff Tuel, except for the fact that he is Rex Ryan's guy from NY. Like Tuel, he was undrafted for a reason. He was not even a starter in college, except for at "El Camino College." (Seriously.)

Against the Dolphin's starters in 2013 (his only extended action), he was 9-18, 79 yards, 1 interception, 1 lost fumble.

His career stats are 4 games, 19-39, 48.7% completion, 195 yards, 1 td, 1 int, 1 lost fumble. (The TD was against the Bills.)

But, people all say EJ Manuel can't play and will never be an NFL QB, and you rather keep this over the Bills 1st round draft pick from 2013? Matt Simms is straight garbage. He is nothing more than a camp arm and practice squad player.

And, last, but certainly not least...Rex Ryan kept MIKE VICK over him last year. That says enough, right there.

  7. Ridiculous. If Whaley were to do this, or Ryan, .........please, no. And what the heck is all the negativity towards Freddie now? How much does a guy have to give and show every year before people stop with the "you're old and slow now so go home and, and thanks a lot, really, I mean it".........Is that what it is to be a Bills fan?

Or, it doesn't take intelligent football fans much to realize he is 34 years old and on the decline?

The team already wanted to let him loose, but Pegula went all Jerry Jones because of the fans undying love for a 34 year old RB, that probably wouldn't be a starter on any other NFL team. I love the guy. Went out of my way to get his autograph. But I am done wanting guys on the team because of what they do in the community, or what kind of leader they are. He's behind McCoy on the depth chart, and Brown/Williams both have a higher ceiling of what they could become.

Whaley gave up a draft pick for Brown, drafted Williams, traded for McCoy...cutting Jackson saves needed money.

I am fine with keeping him this year, and would love to see him win here, but not at the expense of cutting a younger, more promising RB. I'd rather have the potential of what Brown/Williams could become, than Jackson's 500 yards rushing this season.

But, I definitely do not take Ray Rice over Jackson, Brown, Williams or even Dixon, to be honest.

  8. I wouldn't say there's zero chance, in fact I'd put the chances in the "very possible" range on the spectrum of possibilities. Glenn's problems last year stemmed largely (in my opinion) to his health issues in the off season. Those are behind him and he's had a full off season to get into shape and mentally prepare -- unlike last year. Henderson played a ton of snaps, that experience should translate. He knows he can compete at this level now, even in a substandard scheme, that has to help Henderson going forward. Miller's a rookie, so who knows what his progress will be -- but guard is one of the easier positions to make an impact at as a rookie. Richie will need to show the time away from the game hasn't hurt him, the Bills seem confident it won't, so I'll be optimistic about him until I see otherwise.

But I'd agree with you that it is the dream scenario. A better line fixes a lot of problems for this offense. I hope it happens.

I mean down the road...and that is Cyril Richardson, not Richie Incognito. I was hoping for ALL the young o-lineman to develop into quality starters. As for keeping Glenn, I'm not sure we would anyways if Kouandjio and Henderson develop.

But, again, that was a projected line for down the road, next year or the year after. Just tinkering.

Bandit there many subplots running here.

But watching the O line is going to be my focus. and then what the Offense does as a whole is much more intriguing than the Defense.

I dont worry much for that side of the field. lol

Stop moving Glenn! darn you Bubbles !

    Cordy miller Wood Richie Hendy

K swings like Hairston would have and Urbik backs the Center and guard.

but no matter which way you line em up it is going to be fun.

  9. Why? All Rome does is blast the Bills and the city of Buffalo.

He's garbage, probably the worst radio show there is. He thinks he's hot poop too.

That was terrific. Great interview, you gotta love that guy. I'm not a huge Rome fan but he does very much dig Buffalo, and says it all the time and continually puts Bills on his show. Kyle is awesome.

Anytime I have EVER heard him, he is always insulting the Bills and their fans.
  10. If the BILLS had Rogers they'd have to pay him. Say goodbye to Hughes and the majority of the rest of the offseason acquisitions.

You want shiny new toys, or a shiny new trophy/ring??? It's a no-brainer...I'd much rather add Rodgers to last year's team, than every free agent we added this offseason...in a heartbeat, without a doubt.

  11. Awesome. Good on them for getting rid of someone they just acquired.

I hope other teams follow suit...doesn't matter who you are, if you screw up, you should be gone.

(This is a good football player, who signed a good contract if I recall correctly.)

EDIT: Screw up in certain ways, I should say...smoking weed could be considered "screwing up," but that's not where I'm going with this.

  12. 100%. I think this will be the most interesting story throughout camp, even eclipsing the QB battle which I expect to resolve itself rather quickly. A healthy Glenn, seasoned Henderson, and new coaching staff with a pedigree as teachers gives me hope that the line's performance last year will be a distant memory come October.

    I hope.

There is zero chance this ever happens, right? (Ugh, that's a dream scenario for me.) Not this year, but within time...I just know the chances of all our young linemen developing into quality NFL starters is not good. But, that would be a lot of fun to watch.

    Henderson - Glenn - Miller - Richardson - Kouandjio

  13. It's funny how McCoy was considered a top 3 RB in the league when he was an Eagle, then suddenly, McCoy is thought of as over the hill, over rated, and injury prone -- without playing a snap.

Funny how that works, isn't it?

Apples to oranges, not even close to the same situation.

McCoy has carried the ball and taking more of a pounding than any other RB in the league since he was drafted.

    Alonso played one season.
