It is just one article in a series of interviews with athletes about how they are dealing with the current environment. Why wouldn’t they print it? People have real lives not everything is pretty.
Why would they print it was my question, and you didn't answer it, you simply deflected.

The interview was about how he’s dealing with the Covid situation. That included his brothers circumstances but also included a lot of other things. I don’t really see where you are coming from. He mentioned it as part of the situation he’s dealing with (he has to parent his nephew right now as a result) but not sure why it’s a referendum on his intelligence that he chose to discuss this part of his life.
What do you believe is the impetus for the Players Tribune to print the article, do you think they were unaware of his family situation?

True, he didn't exactly finely articulate his points. Do you get the impression from the article that Dawkins is an especially intelligent man? I certainly didn't get that impression from reading it....
Especially given the talk of releasing prisoners in the media the last couple of weeks, what would you want if you were in his shoes? I'm not saying that feeling would be invalid or even unreasonable. Just not feasible for society, and I believe other intelligent people should be able to see that.
Oh, I just found the Wonderlic. Any guesses? I'll put the O/U at 14 just for kicks.

His own brother incarcerated for what is my first question? I didn't see it mentioned.
Pandemics reoccur every 50-100 years, that doesn't mean everyone gets to walk out of jail, which is exactly what he wants before anyone says he isn't advocating for that.

It would be nice to see a vet signed IMO.

At the right price, if he still has it, he'd be a nice big body compliment to Singletary IMO.

I wonder how his truck company is doing

Voted - Yes, eventually.
However, he was too pedestrian for too many stretches for me to instantly think HOF, I'm undecided...

He's top 10 all time in all individual QB stats, he truly led his team to 2 SBs and SB MVPs. This was with mostly Joe Blows around him on Offense. What future HOFers did he play with? Tiki Barber?? Look at the absolute crap they have had at RB between 2006 and last year. They had OBJ for 3 years (the they gave him away!). They had 3 WR go over 1100 yards (one time each) in 10 seasons. He was an iron man--#5 all time in starts. In fact, until this year, once he was made starter, he missed 1 (one) start in his career.
Oh...but he never led the league in passing!
Let's think of another HOF QB who never led the league in passing--in fact isn't even in the top 25 career, whereas 2 of his draft cohort are in the top 10--and had zero SB wins (therefore zero SB MVPs), despite HOF talent on both sides of the ball and on the coaching staff. Only played 4 full seasons out of 11. One season with over 25 TDs.
Why is that guy in the HOF?
Because that man was more talented than Eli Manning.
I'm not saying it's necessarily a good enough reason, just stating my opinion.

this is interesting. Roberts may never touch the ball given that the NFL is testing out new "kickoff" rules at the ProBowl.
If I'm a ProBowl coach, I'm going "onside" a couple times.
That sounds horrendous. The kickoff return was once the most exciting play in football.
It's already been neutered, now they'll drag it out back and put one between the ears. Sad.

Perriman for sure, and Cooper if he can be process oriented. Conklin at RT would be sweet.

Not a take likely to offend anyone, but good context. Thanks for sharing.

He realized he couldn't insult the city itself because you'd be hard pressed to find a bigger shithole than Baltimore...

Buffalo is on the come for sure. Baltimore? Not hardly.

They need a #1 WR over 6'2" regardless of the price. It's not even debatable at this point.
Green is old and injury prone. Who knows if he has anything left.

It was delivered a little late, but a #1 WR makes that catch. Makes the Duke catch for a TD also.

He did not win a ring as a HC.
No, you're right. It was as a player. My mistake.

He would be foolish not to take the job and run. As an offensive-minded guy, there’s nothing in NE that McDaniels could be excited about.Cleveland has some issues but that’s a very appealing gig, IMO.
Also, the Rivera love on this board is weird. He’s not a great coach. I’d expect him to flame out quickly in Washington without a legitimate franchise QB.
Coach of the year twice, he won a ring as a HC, and he is 13 games over .500
One could do a helluva lot worse than Ron Rivera.

He made 7mill this year and out produced Hughes who made 11.5mill.
Bills fans love to pitch fork one or 2 players with zero context.
Out producing Jerry on paper maybe. Not on film.
Murphy doesn't have the explosion he had before the ACL. It's obvious from watching some Redskins tape. He's a decent edge rusher for sure. IDK about 9 million going into his age 30 season though. I doubt he'll be back at that number.

That was a near impossible pass, almost impossible to complete because of the Angle.
On a second look it was very tough

There’s also the part where our first and 10 play was a run into the middle of the line. Every time. So there’s that.
That too.

The Daboll haters today are literally fools. Ignore them.
I'm not a Daboll hater, but I have some questions. The offensive line was atrocious, yet Daboll kept calling plays where receivers weren't turning their heads for 10-15 yards. It was repeated constantly. That's not on Allen (who did miss Knox badly for what would have been a TD)

What is the scale though? Do we take into account the Defense he's facing when grading? If so, B.
If not, C-.

Thank you very much Terry. That wife of his? Eh...?

The overly conservative play calling with the lead is an issue.

You didn't answer the simple question either. Barr isn't releasing anyone convicted of violent crimes, sex crimes etc. Not even close.
