This season's performance is going to let us know what's going on, 7 Beane seasons in.

The division sucks monkey nuts, we literally own Miami, they literally cannot beat us barring 100-degree temps with our players sitting in extreme heat, and even then couldn't outplay us.  A division win is expected, and if we cannot advance beyond the wild-card round again, that theory is going to be quite seriously challenged.

As always, we'll see.  Hopefully we'll win a Super Bowl with this ragtag WR corps without a distinguished WR in the group.  Hopefully we'll bolster it with a WR in the 1st round.

But it should be of concern, because we've been lectured for a full year now by both head coach and Allen how there's absolutely nothing to any of this Diggs's stuff.  That's not going to age well.

    That's fair.

It certainly raises questions as to what else they've lied and are currently lying about in the most secretive Bills organization in history.

Yes, but that's not my main concern. Beane has proven himself to be more than capable IMO.

  3. Collinsworth talked a ton of ***** about Allen the first couple years. He was huge on the "You can't learn accuracy" train. He's always had an anti-Bills bias to begin with. If you haven't seen it the last 30 years Idk What to tell ya...Were you under a rock perhaps?

I wondering if PS (vs straight roster) was a stipulation that Kirksey chose, vs the bills choosing? That way it gives him the chance to leave for another team should he not get elevated and become our starting MLB by say week 2/3?

That's a reasonable thought. May have been the best fit for everyone.

And yet no team cared to sign him to an active roster. Hmmmm. Those are really weak stats btw. It’s not like he didn’t have plenty of opportunities to make tackles and other plays on the Texans last season. They were on the field a lot. I’ve watched him play enough to know what kind of player he is.

Better than Dodson and Bernard w one arm tied behind his back, on Football IQ alone.

Think about it - He’s been shopping his wares but it seems the NFL GM’s know either he is injury prone or all the teams have a QB1 in mind.

Lamar has to know this and he gave it a good shot. So I’m wondering if he’s considering a broadcasting/communications sabbatical to let his body heal.

He’s an NFL MVP, playoff QB with several accolades. He could provide some sound in-depth analysis on FOX or CBS. Even Amazon. Not play by play, but maybe on field commentary or halftime, booth analysis or in studio.

He would get signed to a 3 yr / $60 million broadcasting contract in a heartbeat. He’s young enough to heal up while doing game analysis and then re-enter the NFL and fund his retirement.

    Just a thought.

Thank you for that mental image and laugh this morning.

Well, on their Wonderlic tests that the NFL used (arguably a measure of intelligence), Dan Marino, Terry Bradshaw, and Jim Kelly all scored 15, which is only two points higher than Lamar's. The former three each went on to become TV analysts.

They knew they were early first round locks. They blew it off. It's kind of common knowledge 40 years later...

If Lamar's mother were not his agent, he would never have taken the test. I mean, lets be honest, it was thrown away permanently because of politics.

We're not really comparing Le'Veon Bell to TJ Yeldon now are we?  Even if you, for some reason, have faith in Yeldon, our depth is terrible. At a minimum they need to throw another body into the mix

Nobody is comparing them. Just noting there's a good case for Yeldon getting more touches than he has. First case, Tuesday night.
