Lodge 6 Quart Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven. Classic Red Enamel Dutch Oven (Island Spice Red)https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000N501BK/

I have a Le Creuset dutch oven that i bought at their factory outlet store for $200 that I love, but also have one of these for $60! This is what I fry in, and braise in, and do a lot else in. I just would not buy a fryer I guess unless using it 2-3x a week, which sounds like you may

    ^^^

this. electric oil fryers suck. not enough btu. use something like this on your stovetop.

I wish I could find that stat but it was one of the WGR guys somehow got a hold of it.

Shady was dead last in the league (those who qualify) for yards before first contact.  Phillip Lindsay was #1 at 3.05 yards.  I think Shady was literally at 1.9 or something like that.

So basically, as soon as he got the handoff....someone was in his face.

How can we prove you wrong when it's August and the season hasn't started yet?

touche, i just think he's earning too much and we have too much invested in RB bench depth to keep him around. i guess that was my point. for the amount he's earning, yards from scrimmage should start at 1500. i just don't see it.

unless i missed it, i have seen no one mention Netflix's, 'Dark'. just finished season 2 last night and i hope they do a season 3. not wanting to give the plot away, i will just say it is about time and has all kinds of paradoxes.  i am usually pretty good at seeing plot twists coming and such but never really got that with this one. you have to pay attention and binge watching might be the best way to keep it all in order.

curious what anyone else who may have watched it thinks.

i love this show also. very very good acting and tremendous plot. from what i've read, there will be a season 3.

For those who also enjoy great documentaries, and if you have not already done so, I urge you to go find the "Paradise Lost" series of 3 documentaries about 3 boys wrongly accused of horrific crimes including murder in a small town in Arkansas.

There are 3 distinct films forming a series, all on the same underlying story.

They are, taken together, about as good a piece of documentary film making as I have ever seen.

Get the first one, and start watching.  Give the show 10 minutes.  If you aren't sucked in immediately, shut it off!  But be warned!  If you start watching, you'll need to see all 6.5 hours or so of content!

    thanks for the tip!

Just wondering about the people who say it was a bad pass, what was bad about it? It traveled almost 45 yards in the air about 3 yards deep into the endzone, what was bad about it? Was it not a perfect spiral, because I'm not getting what was so bad about the last pass.

i'm wondering if something is still wrong with his elbow. i saw a few passes that were not tight spirals, and more like wounded ducks in the game. when that happens, accuracy is going to suffer. i hadn't really seen this up until sunday. that's my only question/point.

It looked like Clay was trying to keep two feet in the end zone.  He had plenty of time to get underneath that thing.

^^ this. why did he stop running and dive? if he kept his feet moving, he would have came back to the ball for an easy catch.

oh no, he threw a few that didn't meet your demands

do you get this attitude playing Madden and pushing the reset button every time things don't go your way?

you are barking up the wrong tree....sorry. i'm a big Allen proponent. just commenting that he had a few bad throws is all. and by bad, i mean ducks, not a tight spiral.

    overall he was great yesterday

  7. it's really both, but mostly on Clay. probably 80-20. the throw wasn't great (in fact, i saw a few ducks from Allen yesterday).

my biggest issue is, why does Clay dive down instead of continuing to run back towards Allen? if he keeps running, he will be out of the end zone, but has a much better chance at catching. i can only assume he thought time was expiring and needed to catch the ball in the end zone. no other logical reason for it.

Wow that was 2011 when they came back?  I thought it was only 2-3 years ago.  It's crazy how fast time flies by these days!

i had exactly the same thought. 4 years max.

    FYI, from Wikipedia:

    Potential future[edit]

On January 10, 2014, Mike Judge announced that, while he is busy working on Silicon Valley, there is a chance of him pitching Beavis and Butt-Head to another network and that he wouldn't mind making more episodes.[36] While giving an interview to Howard Stern on May 6, 2014, Judge mentioned that the show's ratings on MTV were second only to Jersey Shore, but the show didn't fit MTV's target demographic of young women, which is why the revived series has not been brought back on MTV. He also said that MTV was close to selling it to another network, but it became "lost in deal stuff".[37](37m)

In interviews, Judge has stated his interest in producing a live-action movie, and Johnny Depp has expressed interest in the role of Beavis.[38] In May 2008, Judge said that he previously hated the idea, but now believes that "maybe there's something there."[39] During an interview for Collider on August 25, 2008, Judge said, "I like to keep the door open on Beavis and Butt-Head, because it's my favorite thing that I've ever done. It's the thing I'm most proud of." However, he also added, "Another movie... the problem is it takes a year and half, two years, two and a half years—maybe—to do that right. And that's a pretty strong level of commitment. I'm going to look at that again. That comes up every three years." One of his ideas is bringing back the characters as old men, instead of teenagers. "I kind of think of them as being either 15 or in their 60s," he said. "I wouldn't mind doing something with them as these two dirty old men sitting on the couch." Judge added that he would not completely ignore the time that has passed in between.

In 2016, Judge told RadioTimes.com that "Maybe it could be a live-action someday" and went on to speculate that Beavis might be homeless by now.[40]

In March 2018, Judge told Rotten Tomatoes that the idea of doing a second Beavis and Butt-Head movie had been brought up two months prior, stating that "It’s just a matter of coming up with an idea that feels like it’s worth doing."[41]

Incorrect.  Most issues with deep frying are due to oil temp being too low as batch after batch gets dropped in the fryer without proper time for temps to rebound.  Burnt skin and raw inside would be the tell tale sign for too hot, too fast.  Rubbery skin is usually due to frying too low, not long enough, and wet chicken to begin with.

we fry them twice. put them in for about 7-8 minutes with the oil at 350. pull them out and put on paper towels. let the oil come back up to temp, then drop them in again, this time for 4-5 minutes. they are perfectly cooked and crispy.

Belicheat will never be in position where he has to choose from Schmidt or Bojorquez.  Thinking about what he’d do in that situation is a waste of time.  We’ll never know.  I think he’d keep the best punter.  Imo, that’s bojorquez

we aren't talking about QB or all-star linebacker. we are talking about the punter. not even a kicker.

we had the best punter in the league for a few years and what did that get us?

  11. 7 minutes ago, NewEra said:

He screwed up and almost cost us a game.  He’s better than Colton Schmidt.  I’ll take him.  Hope he’s not seriously injured.  I think he’s our punter of the future

Sigh.  Do you think belicheat would cut him?  That means nothing when belicheat didn’t have Colton Schmidt as his punter

i think belicheat has very little tolerance for mistakes, which is where we need to be. what's wrong with having high standards? the 2 mistakes have not cost us a game, but what happens if the next mistake does cost us a game?

Subscribed to Blitz last year but haven't found the need to this year.  Don't miss it since there are plenty of free offerings out there. I do visit Maven. Unlike others here, i don't mind getting alternate takes from the likes Sully and Gleason.  Rumblings is another great site.

link for Maven? i never heard of that one. thanks in advance!

Love the Catt and 18 mile! Never checked out Canadayuay or Chataqua creeks. Once I put the boat up when there a nice day im going to hit em. Let me know how you make out.

everything blown out now from the rain, 18 mile should be good in a couple days if it doesn't rain. catt probably at least a week. i've never been to canadaway or chautaqua either but i hear they can be good. i stick closer to home :)

  14. it really depends on what you plan to use it for, and how long you plan to keep it. i looked at both, ended up buying the Taco. Here are here is my conclusion:

    Taco:

    --holds value well

    --excellent fit and finish

--i have the limited edition so the stereo is awesome

--expensive to obtain, even used (my 2017 used Taco was more than a similar equipped brand new Chevy)

--very little wiggle room on price, generally speaking

--if you buy new (or very recent used), includes 2 years of free scheduled maintenance

--after 2 years however, maintenance generally will be more $$ than the chevy

    --very reliable (it's a Toyota...)

    Chevy:

--cheaper to buy and maintain overall

--dealers much more likely to negotiate on price

--back seat on 4 door model is smaller than Taco (this was important to me)

--nicer rider than the taco (less "truck like" in my opinion)

    --lesser resale value
