  1. This really boils down the whole thing.

Let Josh help choose the OC( he should give some feedback sure, but i think he wasn't ready for this yet), and then watch him slowly degrade from lack of good coaching is what we are seeing here.

Is that a fireable offense for McDermott and Beane? I don't know.

I think that decision has played out for 1.5 years and it isn't getting better.

Maybe having a Daboll in your face, fired up, helped Josh.

Its criminal with the talent on the team to be in line with the Jets, Steelers, Texans? all doing more with way way less.

Im pretty sure Mike Tomlin's jock strap could do more with this, and he's not even an offensive coach.

If my name were Terry Pegula, this is what I would do this offseason:

    Fire Sean McDermott

    Keep Brandon Beane

Hire Ben Johnson (you now have arguably the best young offensive mind in the league for Josh Allen's prime and you'll never have to worry about losing your offensive coordinator)

Then, if my name were Brandon Beane, this is what I would do:

Let go (via cut or trade) Von Miller, Tre'Davious White, and Jordan Poyer, taking all the bad cap medicine necessary (yes, I know it's a lot, but stick with me); possibly add Dawson Knox to this list if he's not excited about a backup role

Re-sign A.J. Epenesa and DaQuan Jones; let every other major free agent go, including Gabe Davis and Micah Hyde

Leverage your 10+ picks (probably even more after trades) to maneuver and get the best WR available, then heavily prioritize defensive line and offensive line picks

Fill in the gaps at non-premium positions in free agency.

Offense built around Allen, a dominant line, Cook, Diggs, Kincaid, and the future WR1 you drafted.

Defense built around a dominant line, Milano and Bernard, and a young secondary.

Bills are suddenly a young team but still scoring a lot of points and the future is looking exceptionally bright.

With the old guard gone, you can grow with your young team. You'll probably even make the playoffs in year 1. Allen is going to be reinvigorated.

Who knows, it might even go as well as it did for the Chiefs last year when they went with a youth movement.

I'm willing to bet my plan is better than what they will get by keeping McDermott.

Reminder: Sean McDermott traded Patrick Mahomes to the Chiefs before Brandon Beane got here.

    Other reminders:

Every coach/QB combo in NFL history that has won a Super Bowl has done so within their first 5 years together. McDermott and Allen are in year 6 and things seem to be falling apart. It seems that things have grown stale and a change is needed.

No player has ever won the Super Bowl with three different teams (Von Miller), unless you count Matt Millen who was inactive for his win with the Redskins.

Only issue i have here is brandon beane had been pretty off on evaluating defensive line talent thus far.

  3. The Bills are not in a slump, since about last year, the league knows how to handle the Bills.

How do you beat the Bills?

    • Make their defense tackle, since they are poor tacklers ( see the Tampa game two years ago when they talked about this and its been known league wide at least since) Screens, dumps, play actions, runs
    • Get a lead on them
    • Double Stefon Diggs
    • Let Josh play from behind, push, and create turnovers for you

    Style points for:

    • The OC has no creativity, and is predicable.
    • The head coach will give you extra time at the end of the game for your offense with his timeout usage.

To be fair, this team hasn't really been that good on offense consistently since last year after first half of Greenbay.

People are going to argue about we need receivers to get open (more receivers etc), I honestly don't trust they would be used at this point if we got Jerry Rice on the roster.

People make plays and get instantly put back on the bench or no more targets, and I wish i knew if it was Josh not targeting them, or Dorsey not drawing up good enough schemes. It's probably a little of both.

I don't see any innovation or creativity and honestly, the offense is what concerns me the most. Motion is non existent, and thats a huge tool that is just not used.

But honestly, I just am sick of the gaslighting by the people who cover and are closest to the team in the media.

This is the same as the Tremaine Edmunds is a good football player talk, but with Dorsey. It's not all on him, players need to make plays, but, we can all see the predictability on our couch. And we aren't wrong. Same as the people who were underwhelmed by Edmunds not making plays. They weren't wrong either.

If the players aren't executing well, it is still on the coach to get them to execute or put them in a better position, get them some easy opportunities, get the most out of them.

Lastly, can we get someone to ask some tough questions during the coaching interviews?

Ya, they won't give you much, however, at least they may feel their seat get a little warm and maybe spark some change.

Injuries have affected us, and probably the missed throws, but something needs to change now in regards to philosophy / tendencies/ coaching to evolve.

The numbers were taken from the first six weeks, where the Bills certainly DIDN'T have an issue with offense, the heat game in Miami aside.

This is the issue. I knew it was only a matter of time until the "numbers" start crawling out.

Their results, oponents, and situations were not the same. Its like comparing apples to oranges. This year and last year.

Lets just make it simple. Do you think our offense has looked good in better then 50 percent of our games this year?
