I don't remember if it was mentioned in the article or if I read it elsewhere, but one thing I learned recently that was pretty fascinating is that a lot of studies have shown that highways don't actually improve traffic congestion at all. So theoretically, the point would apply to cities that aren't shrinking as well. But also, the article mentions Seattle, Dallas, Atlanta, Boston, etc. and I don't think those areas are shrinking.

That seems illogical unless people are going out of their way to get to the higher speed roads, which I guess is possible  In Orlando I rarely take I-4 because it is not the best way but if I need to go straight across town I always take the highways

  2. I will not read the article but I assume the comment is based on a mentality similar to the announcer on MNF vs 49ers. I think it was Griese who said Allen should not have thrown a ball that was completed because most QBs can't make that throw. It was a terrible take because it was a perfect throw and no defender had a good shot at the ball. Allen is "arrogant" like Kobe or Mariano Rivera, they simply know they can do what no one else can.

    Should who? What?

The fact that you can't even admit the blanket message that paying someone to vote is inappropriate is telling. The reason I ask is that I had a coworker who took off Election day last year and was driving people to the polls, the issue is she stopped to get food with some people and bought them food. She was also explaining to them why they should vote for Biden on the way. So details matter for this law but this law is appropriate.

Yep, and even worse (if that is possible), was afterward his saying basically “I gotta be me, and I’d do it again next time.”  WHAT? That is NOT the correct answer, even in the moment!

That was certainly the most “boneheaded”. Of course, at least for me, nothing can approach wide right for “worst play”.

You are a glutton for punishment if you even looked at the Bills the rest of that week. I had not heard that but I am not surprised.

  5. So now we know several of Trump's "lies" according to WAPO are the truth.

    1) the tax cuts were the largest of all time(1.9 trillion with no others as large)

    2) Russian collusion was never true.

    3) coronavirus started in a lab.

    4) the border would become a crisis without him.

    5) he spent more money on the military than any president in a year.

All of these are in their top ten "lies" by the WA PO which are all true. The rest of list is simply arguable opinions.

It's good. What's the point of this thread? Why is the lamestream media hiding it? Is it a CONSPIRACY?!?! Jesus effing christ.

Just get your ***** shots and get over it. Or don't. I don't care. It will thin out at least some of the stupid. ***** your feelings, right?

When the highest death rates are in the liberal parts of the country I think your "thin out the stupid" comment is pretty telling.

Agreed the dems are being political but the refusal of gop to take an equal position, to control the politics shows IMHO the gop has a lot to hide.

Once again Tim, you show your stripes, and an inability to be honest. Starting to sound a lot like Rhino Jr.....

    Peace and Love

You agree that it a political show but it is dishonest to question it after we already had the trial? You a special version of Canadian.

There is probably a thread on impeachment somewhere here and any poster’s personal hypocrisy (or not) is irrelevant to this different topic.

We had an election with a result. R Congress people and the president refused to accept the result and tried to avoid a transfer of power. That 100% lead to the capital attack. Undermining democracy seems like it should be a bipartisan concern.

John the faux high mindedness of your post is wonderful. Voter fraud undermines a republic, that riot delayed a vote a few hours. Shooting representatives who disagree with you undermines a republic but that was not worth a commission. But as I said before, what would you like to know? Virtually every detail is known but this almost commission keeps idiots from fixing the issues.

Exactly why there needs to be transparent investigation. Maybe the dems stopped a build up of protection. Maybe Roger Stone had another 2000 poor boys members ready to jump in, maybe the head of the Washington police is a poor boy member. Whatever, the light of day needs to be involved. Maybe Chuck Colson had some Cuban sharp shooters ready. You must be concerned when some fight so hard not to have a light turned on.

Why do you think any of that is true? There is no intelligent reason to believe any of that. But more importantly why was no one interviewed before the impeachment trial? Oh because it was a political stunt that you want to continue.

    No, Monday morning info Tim.

I do think that the actions of Jan 6th were far more serious than a break in at Watergate Hotel for political info.

The people that controlled and lived in the Whitehouse for the last 4 years were far more dangerous to freedom and country than Haldeman, Ehrlichman, Dean, Colson etc and this needs to see the light of day to end the threat.

To end the threat when people tell you they will be protesting, whether they are conservative or liberal, actually have some extra cops there to ensure that they can handle it. The fact that the FBI knew this was possible but did nothing to prepare at all is appalling. Anything else?

it would go more blue if there’s a bunch of “Trumpy” candidates and we’re watching him get indicted and flail around like a lunatic.

Right now I will make a bet that the house and Senate is red in January of 2023.  I will put up a picture in my profile of Obama and you must put up a bice picture of Trump if you lose. You keep looking at Trump and watch as your candidates get blown away.
