Watching football on TV anymore is like walking into a house of mirrors. Every week it's labyrinth of networks and streams to wade through to figure how to watch any particular game.

Congress could put a stop to this.  The NFL is only able to pool the broadcasting rights because of a Congressionally-granted exception to the antitrust laws. This law is why streaming/payTV games are shown on local over the air stations to weakly satisfy free broadcasting requirements.  It’s also why high school football on Friday is protected from NFL competition.

Has the identity of the person who recorded the conversation been made public?  Just want to know because I would like to know the name of the person that took that less than ethical action and has thus earned my disrespect.  In general, I find the Bills professional media to be very chummy.  They play golf, share Fantasy Football Leagues, attend each others weddings, appear on each others' podcasts, etc.  This is not a very cut throat group in the way I would imagine the media to be in other markets.  Most of these people are not breaking stories on the team or players that amount to much, whether they work for the team or not.  I am ok with that.

Was the feed not available online for everyone?

The BillsVHS guy has been going on and on how this is really about systemic racism.

He’s still at it.  Bickering with Warrow and Graham now. Demanding that they address the racial stereotype angle.

Everyone who will miss Maddy Glab’s contributions to Buffalo Bills media please raise their hand.

    That’s what I thought.

I don’t like people having their career ruined after one mistake.  Social media mobs should be resisted also.

    I am repeating myself but…They don’t  care!!!

The current system of handing out broadcast rights is making them fistfuls of $$$. No need to fix something that isn’t broke.

They are able to do this due to a statutory anti-trust exemption that could be removed at any time.  They actually are supposed to have all broadcasting under the Sports Broadcasting Act available OTA but they satisfy this requirement by rebroadcasts only in the home cities.

If Keenum is cut by the Texans, we apparently lose the Edmunds 3rd round pick. We need to either ensure the Texans keep him or we need to trade for him - Joe B says 6th or 7th but he might actually be worth a 4th to us in that scenario.

How long was it torn for ?

And of course it effects everybody differently..  Thurmanator played without an ACL his entire career

But that has to be unique..  you're lucky you didn't do more damage if that's possible

Over a year.  I suspect my meniscus got torn the first time my knee gave out afterwards.

    That's *****

I had multiple concussions that ended my career but I can't believe a trainer missed a torn ACL

    Could you even run

ACL tears usually only affect lateral stability and some can function even there better than others.  I didn’t realize I tore mine for over a year because it stopped hurting pretty quickly and I could function fine. The third time my knee gave out after a sudden side movement I got it checked and found out.  Ortho knew it instantly when he manipulated my knee.

We're largely in agreement on that.  The only way I see Davis catching 60-70 passes is if Allen puts up more completions and therefore yards than he has to date, which I do expect him to do.  If not it will likely be problematic.  Allen was 7th in passing yards and 9th in completions last season.  No reason for that.  So we'll see, but even then it doesn't mean that Davis gets that many of those extra balls although he would obviously be a beneficiary.

But consider, if Davis merely adds 25% to his catches from last season, he's got 60 (up from 48), and at his career YPR rate of 16.8, those 60 would put him at over 1,000 and around 10 TDs.  (He's averaged a TD every 100 yards)

WRs tend to improve into their 3rd/4th seasons, and given his injury last season, it's reasonable to expect him to make such a leap this season.  I'm also bigger on Davis than most.  ... which appears to be an unpopular opinion.  LOL

And yeah, his feet weren't the reasons for his drops.

Speaking of feet, part of my thinking is that Allen really does run less and throws more.  Who knows, maybe that doesn't happen, which would also be unfortunate.

Do those rankings take into account Allen only having 16 games last season?

If people aren’t going to pay for local press, don’t complain when all you have left is Skip Bayless types.

They aren’t raising the price because they want a new sports car. They’re doing it because they are barely staying afloat.

Guilt is a way to advertise for a charity.  Is that what newspapers are now? Should they have Sara McLaughlin sing along to video of newspaper columnists being laid off?

  10. I always wondered why all these sports shows add so many former player commentators.  Even if they were all good at it, they’ll put like 6 on at once.  How can you have a good discussion that way?
