  1. You hoping some people lose their jobs at target? Acceptable collateral damage of your political primal scream?
  2. Legislators in Wisconsin, Ohio and Iowa are actively considering relaxing child labor laws to address worker shortages, which are driving up wages and contributing to inflation. Employers have struggled to fill open positions after a spike in retirements, deaths and illnesses from COVID-19, decreases in legal immigration and other factors. https://apnews.com/article/child-labor-laws-alabama-ohio-c1123a80970518676be44088619c6205
  3. LONDON, May 25 (Reuters) - Transgender designer Erik Carnell has seen a surge in demand for his pins, prints, stickers and T-shirts after U.S. retailer Target Corp pulled his products amid a backlash by some customers to its Pride collection, he said on Thursday. Target's Pride collection included more than 2,000 products from clothes and music to home furnishings, and while several are under review the only ones removed so far from its website and stores are from Carnell's brand Abprallen. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/orders-surge-trans-designer-target-133337941.html
  4. Matt Schlapp, the prominent Trump ally who leads the influential Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), was accused this week of mismanaging money and staff in a scathing resignation letter from the parent organization’s treasurer. Bob Beauprez, the treasurer of the American Conservative Union and a board member for eight years, said he had “lost confidence” in the organization’s financial statements and could not solicit donations “in good faith.” He blamed Schlapp for excessive staff departures and suggested that violations of the organization’s bylaws could expose the storied institution to lawsuits or even criminal prosecution. “A cancer has been metastasizing within the organization for years. It must be diagnosed, treated, and cured, or it will destroy” the organization and its foundation, Beauprez said in the letter, which was obtained by The Washington Post. “I’ve come to think that the expectations for my role as a director and officer is much the same as that of a mushroom — ‘To be kept in the dark and fed a lot of manure.’ I no longer am willing to comply.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2023/05/25/cpac-treasurer-matt-schlapp-resigns-letter/

  7. The Morning Consult survey shows the former president has 54% support among likely primary voters and DeSantis has 26%, tying his lowest score since the poll began in December. Former President Donald Trump is widening his lead over the rest of the Republican primary field, according to a new Harvard CAPS/Harris poll. In a hypothetical nine-way Republican presidential primary, Trump takes 58 percent support among GOP voters, adding 3 percentage points to his already-staggering lead since last month. His closest rival, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, notched only 16 percent in the survey – a 4-point downturn since the previous survey. https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4012715-trump-widens-lead-over-desantis-in-gop-primary-poll/

  15. Yup, it's Biden's fault Russia isn't ready to make peace in their murderous invasion https://www.cnbc.com/2023/05/24/ukraine-war-live-updates-latest-news-on-russia-and-the-war-in-ukraine.htmlRussian President Vladimir Putin told an audience Tuesday that Russia was going through “difficult times” as its invasion of Ukraine continues, but said national pride was growing. “Yes, Russia is going through difficult times now; things have never been easy, but, still, today we are seeing a moment of our common consolidation, with our national pride being sharpened,” Putin told an awards ceremony Tuesday, according to comments reported by state news agency Tass. Elsewhere, the Kremlin said Wednesday that it’s premature to talk about a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, with Putin’s Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov saying the preconditions for an end to the conflict did not yet exist. When asked by reporters which peace proposals were closest to Russia’s position, Peskov said: “It is premature to talk about this as long as there are no prerequisites for a peaceful settlement. The special military operation continues,” as Russia calls its unprovoked invasion of its neighbor.
  16. “I say to the Republicans out there—congressmen, senators—if they don’t give you massive cuts, you’re going to have to do a default,” Trump said. Same thing Nope, the leader of the Jan 6 coup wants to crash everything so he can blame Biden. Putin style leader
