  1. A Day in the life of Joe Republican Joe gets up at 6 a.m. and fills his coffeepot with water to prepare his morning coffee. The water is clean and good because some tree-hugging liberal fought for minimum water-quality standards. With his first swallow of water, he takes his daily medication. His medications are safe to take because some stupid commie liberal fought to ensure their safety and that they work as advertised. All but $10 of his medications are paid for by his employer's medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance -- now Joe gets it, too. He prepares his morning breakfast: bacon and eggs. Joe's bacon is safe to eat because some girly-man liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry. In the morning shower, Joe reaches for his shampoo. His bottle is properly labeled with each ingredient and its amount in the total contents because some crybaby liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained. Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some environmentalist wacko liberal fought for the laws to stop industries from polluting our air. He walks on the government-provided sidewalk to the subway station for his government-subsidized ride to work. It saves him considerable money in parking and transportation fees because some fancy-pants liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a contributor. Joe begins his work day. He has a good job with excellent pay, medical benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some lazy liberal union members fought and died for these working standards. Joe's employer pays these standards because Joe's employer doesn't want his employees to call the union. If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed, he'll get a worker compensation or unemployment checks because some stupid liberal didn't think he should lose his home because of his temporary misfortune. It is noontime and Joe needs to make a bank deposit so he can pay some bills. Joe's deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some godless liberal wanted to protect Joe's money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the Great Depression. Joe has to pay his Fannie Mae-underwritten mortgage and his below-market federal student loan because some elitist liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his lifetime. Joe also forgets that in addition to his federally subsidized student loans, he attended a state funded university. Joe is home from work. He plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive. His car is among the safest in the world because some America-hating liberal fought for car safety standards to go along with the taxpayer funded roads. He arrives at his boyhood home. His was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers' Home Administration because bankers didn't want to make rural loans. The house didn't have electricity until some big-government liberal stuck his nose where it didn't belong and demanded rural electrification. He is happy to see his father, who is now retired. His father lives on Social Security and a union pension because some wine-drinking, cheese-eating liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn't have to. Joe gets back in his car for the ride home, and turns on a radio talk show. The radio host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. He doesn't mention that the beloved conservatives have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout his day. Joe agrees: "We don't need those big-government liberals ruining our lives! After all, I'm a self-made man who believes everyone should take care of themselves, just like I have."
  2. Man, DeSantis is just about as an open racist as he can be.
  3. A Georgia grand jury concluded that one or more witnesses in a probe into possible election meddling by former President Donald Trump may have lied under oath, and recommended a prosecutor pursue criminal indictments in those cases. The grand jury also said in its report that it found no significant fraud in Georgia’s 2020 presidential election, which was won by President Joe Biden. “A majority of the Grand Jury believes that perjury may have been committed by one or more witnesses testifying before it,” said the report, portions of which were unsealed a judge in Fulton County. https://www.cnbc.com/2023/02/16/trump-grand-jury-recommends-perjury-indictments-finds-no-fraud-in-georgia-2020-election.html

  5. It was Kindergarten, actually In 3rd grade I had no worries, Jimmy Carter was prez!
  6. Kids in Florida are not allowed to bring books from home? That's f'n nuts. This is a lame attempt at thought control
  7. Why are you not in jail then? Get yourself arrested at that clinic! You think they are committing murder, right? Come on, go join the fight!
  8. "You can't anything you hear from the media!" Who said it? A) Xi B) Trump/GOP C) Putin D) All of the above If you guessed D, then you win a trip on B-Man's luxury yacht!!
  9. Actually for everyone. ----------- Republicans’ extreme antiabortion stance cost them dearly in the midterms, especially among women, young people and college-educated voters. But rather than adjust course, they are doubling down. Like the American tourist who thinks if he yells loud enough, non-English speakers will finally understand him, they have decided to be more aggressive in trying to block abortion access. Sign up for a weekly roundup of thought-provoking ideas and debates House Republicans have already passed two antiabortion measures (which have no chance of passing the Senate). They have also filed other bills seeking to limit access to abortion. Likewise, Senate Republicans are pushing an array of antiabortion measures, including restrictions on interstate travel for the procedure and bans on federal funding for colleges that supply abortion medication. Meanwhile, a forced-birth group in Texas is suing to reverse the Food and Drug Administration’s decades-old authorization of mifepristone, which is one of two drugs used for medical abortions (and is also critical for the treatment of miscarriages). Twenty-two red states have filed amicus briefs expressing support for the effort to deprive women of safe, effective medication. And in Congress, Republican Rep. Andy Biggs of Arizona filed a bill to do the same. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2023/02/15/republicans-abortion-double-down/ A recent Gallup survey shows that Americans are increasingly frustrated with U.S. abortion policy. “The record-high 69% of U.S. adults dissatisfied with abortion laws includes 46% who prefer that these laws be made less strict, marking a 16-percentage-point jump in this sentiment since January 2022,” the poll reports. “In addition, 15% of Americans are dissatisfied and favor stricter laws, and 8% are dissatisfied but want them to stay the same.” Likewise, an NPR-Ipsos poll in January found that 3 out of 5 Americans want abortion legal in all or most cases. The overwhelming sentiment is that government should “butt out,” as one respondent told the pollsters. NPR reports: Fifty-eight percent of respondents say they think lawmakers are making abortion policy based on what donors and their base want, not what the majority of the public wants. They also voiced this disconnect when evaluating federal officials making calls about abortion rights. An even larger number, 62% of respondents, say the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade was based “more on politics than the law.” Sixty percent of respondents say that they thought the Roe decision was correctly decided in 1973.
  10. His initial goal was conquering the whole country, you remember that wild scene at Kiev airport with CNN reporter walking up to a soldier and asking if he had seen the Russians and the reply was, "We are the Russians!" The paratroopers tried to take airport, establish a forward supply base and the armor was suppose to break through to them. But the Ukrainians counter attacked and wiped out the paratrooper.
  11. To a point, her main focus by far was birth control. She went to jail fighting for that, not eugenics
  12. Sure, as soon as you chain yourself to an abortion clinic you stupid clown Put your money where your mouth is idiot Man, you guys hate us supporting a democratic country against Putin's terrorism. You like Putin because he helped your hero Trump win an election. Why don't you go live in Russia?
  13. This is a fail. This argument is basically worthless. It will rally some racist to make them feel they know better, or something, but it ain't helping ya'all out in a general election And Margaret Sanger was a birth control advocate who was arrested for saying women had a right to birth control
  14. This is how I assume things are. Quick thread Russia's "offensive" Was? Maybe. Now they just want to keep Crimea
  15. That isn't appeasement so the question is moot
  16. “Putin thought he could defeat Ukraine quickly, fracture the NATO alliance, and act with impunity. He was wrong,” the top US general said. “Ukraine remains free, they remain independent. NATO and this coalition has never been stronger, and Russia is now a global pariah. And the world remains inspired by Ukrainian bravery and resilience. In short, Russia has lost — they’ve lost strategically, operationally, and tactically, and they are paying an enormous price on the battlefield.” And they are not done losing! https://www.cnn.com/europe/live-news/russia-ukraine-war-news-2-14-23/h_b4edf4b7b5c3e900908e0a12354b705d Truly stupid for Putin to continue this war.
  17. I'm a lightweight? Umm..ok buddy And Biden is now doing a good job against Putin, who got use to being praised and pampered with Trump Biden is not an appeaser
  18. Ya, Biden's party controls the media, whatever You: He totally outclassed Trump in the debates, which isn't say much. Well, it's saying he is a vast improvement over the last president
  19. They did not attack us until 2016. 2012 was before 2016
