It’s fine. This is the most boring off-season besides Allen gossip.

I get the saying but there are a lot of garbage players on championship teams.

It's probably more correct to say "ordinary" players... rather then "garbage" players. There's a lot of space between "all Pro" and "garbage".

I've wondered for years what Byrd did that keeps him from the recognition he deserves.  Did Mrs. Wilson agree to sell to the Pegulas only on the condition that they would not put Byrd on the Wall?

I've been baffled how Edgerson got the nod and not Byrd.  This isn't quite fair to Edgerson - he was better than this, but Edgerson was something like Byrd's Levi Wallace.

I've no argument against putting Butch Byrd onto the Bills' Wall of Fame... but I also remember Booker Edgerson being a much better player than what's being suggested here...

Signing Mitchell Trubitzky after using a high draft pick on Jake Fromm is a clear sign that every one on the team has to earn their starting role every year, week, and day.  This has serious shades of Rob Johnson and Doug Flutie.  I think the locker room is strong at this point but I really hope this isn't the start of another QB controversy.

Lets not forget, Trubixy was the SECOND OVERALL PICK in the draft not long ago.  The guy was considered a serious talent.  The NFL is a what have you done for me lately league.  One or two bad games from Allen, or god forbid an injury, and I think its very realistic we could have a debate about the starting QB and a locker room divided.

    I hope I'm wrong fellas....

What's the alternative though... sign a back-up quarterback who's no good and then pray that he never has to play an important down?

Anyone interested in signing John Ross as a replacement for John Brown,  is the fastest man in the NFL based on his 4.22 forty yard dash. Could also be used as a KR and is only 26.  He gives us Tyreek Hill type of speed

Based on the times I've watched John Ross play, you practically have to hand him the football if you want him to hang onto it.

  5. My first memory was an exhibition game during the 1969 preseason... OJ Simpson's rookie year. Though I can remember OJ playing at USC fairly clearly, I don't think that he played very much at all during my first Bills game... most of the carries went to Mini Max Anderson and Bill "Earthquake" Enyart. Jack Kemp was still the starting quarterback at that time... but I think that James Harris took most of the snaps in this one.

His Brady worship is the only thing I don't like about Romo. Otherwise, he's currently the best analyst in the business and one of the best of all time.

I think it's tough for any former QB to criticize Brady, especially one who's never won a SB. Brady can just respond with, "How many rings ya got? How about league MVPs?"

Yeah... and he probably would too.  100% class!

I came here to say this and you already said it! 😄 nfc isn't anywhere near as strong as the afc this year...bucs could sneak into the Super Bowl and get thrashed by KC again thats really not the craziest prediction to make lol

I dont think Tampa was a good choice for Brady as far as him fitting into the offense goes...they are still probably his best chance to win a Super Bowl though.

Realistically, they have almost no chance to win a Super Bowl with Brady at QB.  Ironic huh?

If Brady retires, then that means he misses out on his homecoming to Foxborough when the Buccaneers play the Patriots* next year.

That game, I guarantee you, will be the Week 1 Sunday Night Football game. The overhype for that game will be astronomical. Worse than the hype of Manning Vs. Manning several years ago.

The NFL will do everything to make sure that Brady does not retire.

Confidentially... I'd pay money to see how Belichick schemes with whatever he has on defense next season to stop Brady and make him look bad. I'll bet that the relationship between Belichick and Brady had already gotten to a pretty bad place... same place that the Arians / Brady partnership is heading to.

Couldn't agree with you more.  I'm the same way, if theres a chance to see Brady or the Patriots lose I am going to watch it.  Brady's going to have to beat a  couple good teams on the road to go anywhere near the Superbowl, and I just don't see it.  When Romo was heaping praise on him yesterday, I was saying to my wife I could actually see him considering retirement after this season. I usually like Romo a lot, but did not get that at all yesterday.  Thanks for the post!

And... what's with him not shaking hands when he loses?  That is one athlete that I just can never cheer for...
