Agreed. I honestly don't see why it is a problem to play Bryce Brown over CJ for ONE GAME and see how it pans out. Like you said, we could use a pounding back and BB is both a pounder and a slasher.
Do people really think BB is better than CJ at any facet of the game?

the timeshare doesn't work. Fred is still reliable when it's needed. Which is also why he's the one on the field in 3rd down situations. Or situations with the game on the line... Like Chicago. Because even the coaches don't trust CJ to not run backwards for a loss like an idiot. Or to not stay in bounds when were trying to run the clock out, or try to get out of bounds when were trying to conserve timeouts.
He just doesn't it. Honestly. Neither do you.
So just keep on believing what you want. Keep hoping for Spiller to bust out. Keep wishing for him to get more around him, etc, etc, etc...
I'll be here, and extrely happy when he's off this team.

just a fact here. I know you all have major problems understanding facts. But I never once in this thread said we should bench CJ for Brown. I don't care who they put in there. CJ isn't getting it done.

yeah. My iPhone 6+ hasn't come in yet and my iPhone 5 has a smaller screen. So sometimes my giant fingers accidently hot a couple letters at once.
They shouldn't bench CJ for Brown but should bench him for? FJax and CJ are in a timeshare that seems to work and Dixon comes off the bench. Should they bench CJ for Dixon?

OMG, I agree with Tampa Bob..... Mrags please don't you see the problem here? BTW, TB you should use some of the logic in your arguments in this thread and apply them to FJ. And that isn't even talking about other things FJ brings to the table (beside his yrds average).
+1, MRags you are coming off worse than usual here. I can almost understand not signing Spiller to a new contract and letting BB fill in but starting BB over Spiller makes 0 sense.

well said. Very well said. It's not about his average per carry. It's about how misleading it is, especially in the game time situations. A 30 yard run when your either up by a few scores, or down by too many to mean anything as far as a comeback are useless. Too many times, that's when CJ gets his yards. Rarely does he break one off when the game is in the line. It's always when the defense is expecting a pass and are in prevent. Or when they have already given up because they are down by so much.
Comparing to Fred is bad use of a comparison IMO. But Fred (along with many other RBs in this league, not just the top 10) find ways to get those tough yards no matter what situation. They always find ways to fall forward. You think Darren McFadden isnt the only weapon on Oakland worth game planning and defending against? How bout MJD when he was on the Jags? How about either RB from the Panthers when they led the league in rushing before they even had Cam Newton? There literally dozens of examples I could find if I thought for 5 minutes but the fact is I'm pulling these off the top of my head. Good RBs are just good no matter what. They don't need those 15-30 yard runs a few times a game to bring their average up. They are grinders.
I'm not saying there's no use for someone like Spiller. But nobody thinks Reggie Bush is a good RB. At least not for years while he was in NO. He was considered a bust. CJ is about the same. He gives you that factor. But doesn't do it enough to make a difference in the win column.

My usual D move is to stream weeks 1-11 and then see if there's a D that is startable for 12-16. This way I'm not burning waivers in the playoffs on a D and if one clears that is better than the D I have I can grab them.

QBs are always hard to trade in 1QB leagues, combine that with Brees slow start and AlfMo is probably the best option you have.

Trading away our first next year for a WR still infuriates me to no end. The coaches and GM selfishly did this without putting the interest of the organization first. Should have grabbed the top TE and moved on from there.
Yeah Sammy and no first next season is A LOT better than Ebron and a first at this point in the season. Ebron has looked like garbage but then again we're 4 games into their rookie years so who the hell knows.

DraftKings is offering a $27 buy in, $1Million to 1st game for Week 5. Should be a fun sweat. Had a good day yesterday and will probably put 10 entries into this tournament. Usually I am a big bankroll nit but $1million for $27 is so tempting.

Well they can't trade coaches anymore so that's not happening.
