I guess great minds think alike.

I already checked into him, but apparently he is COVID positive right now.

But I did some research into Derek Hagan and Ruvell Martin--both of whom are AVAILABLE and COVID-FREE.

    What do you think!?

No, no.  We need the guy who plays lacrosse now.  Plus, he knows the Patriots offense form last year.

Yes, they technically not eligible, but if one or more ineligible linemen were to go down field, it would add to the confusion of the defenders.  Who am I supposed to cover?  Having them have to locate which one is eligible would give the offense an (unfair?) advantage.

By this reasoning, the defense shouldn’t blitz a defensive back because it would cause blocking confusion for an offense.

I personally hate the ineligible man downfield rule.  If an offensive lineman isn’t staying in to block, then that’s a risk the offense takes.

    exactly.

the thought of preventing more death and destruction by using force isnt in the equation. if rosenbam was allowed to push a burning dumpster into a gas station how many are killed or injured? they dont even realize they advocated that a violent mentally unstable person released from a institution THAT DAY should have been allowed to attack and obtain a weopon without a care in the world of what would have happened..because hindsight. it didn't because it was PREVENTED. im not hearing anyone declaring if only a armed citizen was there this could have been mitigated/prevented. noone talking about how "bail reform" contributed. any talk of taking law abiding citizens vehicles? nope.

just alot of silence on the many arguments made. so if you sit back and allow yourself to be a victim certain people seem rather content with that outcome.

I'd guess that the bail reform issue will be talked about a lot during election season, 2022.

And if things get reviewed and reversed/fixed/improved sooner than that, then all the better.

    Not at the time.

I suppose technically, not at any time, but still the Big Boss of the NFL operation.

My point is just that this isn't some modern phenomenon: insult Les Grands Fromages of your industry has always been a big AwShit!

The modern twist is just that emails (and social media) are forever vs. speech you can deny or a paper letter you can (theoretically) burn

That's really a nit.  He wasn't employed in the NFL at the time, but he was at the time it came out, and Goodell is the Big Boss over the whole operation.

Yes right, don’t piss off your boss.  I doubt Goodell went to his boss — Mark Davis — and said “I’m going to sandbag your head coach because I don’t like him and I have zero authority to fire him.  Oh and I’m going to do it publicly and in a way that pisses off and frightens some of my other 31 bosses”. Could tun into an awShit moment for the Commissioner some day.

You know, that was exactly my thought.  I don't think the Soviets ever troubled to assassinate character.

I don't think it's the "naughty words" that did it for Gruden.

It was what he said about Goodell.

Show me a business, anywhere, anytime, where it was acceptable to "piss in the Boss's Wheaties" like that.

    I'll hang up and wait.

    No, I lie; I won't wait, because you can't.

It's never been acceptable, any time, any where, and it's a "fairy story" that it has anything to do with "society we've become".  If anything, we're now more tolerant of disrespect towards authority.

I agree with your point but Goodell wasn’t Gruden’s boss. And it didn’t seem like Mark Davis was in the loop.

Goodell couldn’t hire or fire Gruden and the way that Goodell manufactured Gruden’s resignation leaves the league in a tough spot.  It’s up to Goodell to manage appearances for the NFL’s owners, and he left them with a PR mess.

You can thoughtfully do whatever you like - but the simple fact is:

    • Kyle broke the law carrying that AR-15 per Wisconsin Statute 948.60(2)(a) and he killed two people and injured one
    • And regarding res ipsa loquitur - tell us - was Kyle reckless?  Was he careless?  After all, he showed up with an AR-15 and pretended to be an EMT. Was he in control of that gun?  What was his intent?  Would the VICTIMS be dead if Kyle would have followed the law and did not have that gun?  Don't know

Is it possible Kyle was acting in self defense? Sure.

Is it possible Kyle came to Wisconsin to defend property? Possibly.

    Is it reasonable?  No.

Did the prosecution have enough evidence?  Probably not.

But the truth is - you don't show up with an AR-15 pretending to play medic and not find yourself in a CARELESS situation.

I’ve been reading your posts.  I disagree that this case has vast societal implications.  I disagree that the outcome of this case legitimizes one particular “side” or another.  People want to make it that way and it is disappointing.

I have no rooting interest in the outcome of this case, I just find it interesting.

Couldn’t your questions be turned around and asked about the people who were shot by the Defendant?

Were the people who were shot locals from Kenosha?

Were they there doing lawful things just prior to being shot?

Did they put themselves and others in a careless situation?

Did they put themselves in a situation where the Defendant thought he had no other choice but to shoot them?

If the Defendant is acquitted because he acted in self-defense, then are the people who were shot properly called “victims”?

I’m underwhelmed. I can’t believe it took this long to get that return. Why some team didn’t offer a deal like this (or better) long ago is beyond me. I guess teams really were scared by Eichel’s injury. But I can guarantee that there will be some GM’s wishing they would have beat this offer once Eichel is back on the ice.

Tuch is a nice top 6 W if he can stay healthy (3rd year in a row he’s missed significant time). And he grew up a Sabres fan, so I’m sure that held value to Kevyn Adams (him wanting players that are “proud to wear the Jersey”).

Krebs was VGK top prospect but he’s been struggling in the NHL this season. I really like him though. Definitely a nice piece to add.

The 1st will be a late pick but this looks like it could be a deep draft (definitely deeper than last year).

I was really hoping for at least 1 more big piece but it is what it is.

Definitely less than what Eichel is worth, but clearly the injury hurt the return.

No doubt Eichel is worth way more than this.

I just pray Krebs turns into something good. If he doesn’t this trade will hurt for many years to come.

If I were a Vegas fan, I'd be extremely nervous.  By the time Eichel gets back on the ice, he'll have been off it for nearly two full seasons and will have all new parts in his neck -- and then Vegas can't move him at all if he doesn't live up to expectations.  The return might be underwhelming (I liked the Calgary rumor a lot more), but as long as Krebs doesn't become Hodgson II, the Sabres will have added to their roster at the same time as removing a major distraction. Once Tuch gets on the ice, he's exactly the type of player this team needs.  Looks like they'll have three 1st round picks in 2022.  Maybe they can make something out of that.

The wild card round is over, now it's on to the division series.

    American League:

    Tampa Bay Vs. Boston

    Houston Vs. Chicago

    National League:

    San Francisco Vs. Los Angeles

    Milwaukee Vs. Atlanta

    Who have you got?

The only prediction I can make is that Tampa Bay is going to roll the Sox (my team).

That SF/LA series should be a classic.

And Houston/Chicago might be a good one, too.
