Update from sister in Jax. They were able to get back late morning. Power was on when they got there. No flooding in the house, but some small water leaks in ceilings. Can't tell if they have any missing roof shingles. They have friend that has drone with camera that offered to check roof. Big bullet dodged. Dunes are gone and pier that is about 15 blocks north of them lost about 5 piers and a lot of the decking.
Same with us with ceiling leaks. We have gable venting and I think water blew in there rather than a breach in the shingles on the room. I've gotta wait for daylight but I'm pretty confident the roof survived.

And you probably won't even get any federal aid, because of bathroom politics.

Live update from Fayetteville, NC... Mass flooding, power outages, system wide water outages, dams ready to collapse... It's bad, not Katrina bad, but its bad. My neighborhood has not had any flooding or power outages beyond flickering of lights, but that might just be dumb luck.
My house, my wife, my child, and my dog are ok. My neighbors are ok. But, I work for the school system and have a lot of work colleagues and even more students... I worry for them. It's going to be a long road back for some neighborhoods in town.

Cause nobody's going to fire their twin brother. No matter what. Easier to fire Roman than essentially can the entire staff and complete the season with interim coaches.

Sounds plausible enough. Who are you going to fire when given an ultimatum (another theory)? Your twin brother on the crappy defensive side of the ball, or the marginally better but still crappy OC with no ties to the family or your coaching circle? This ship is going down, Rex knows it, and we all do too. When Rex goes, so will his brother Rob, but Rex won't have to personally fire him.

Same for me. Maybe I can watch it tonight after the game. South Park is the only show on TV that I get genuinely excited to watch in my repertoire of shows.

Knee dislocation /= kneecap dislocation. Knee dislocation is total disruption of joint, multi-ligament tear w/ other structures at risk.
So one may speculate that this would cause nerve and severe blood vessel damage? Possible significant internal bleeding? All speculation, but this is more like internal damage that may be life threatening or altering vs just season or career threatening injury. Sucks for the guy!

By far. Just as Ralph designed. There was no other offer that came close to what Pegula paid. And the estate instructions Ralph left made it CLEAR that the team goes to highest bidder. 100% yes. However, TT seems like the real deal. If he stays healthy and can make smart plays, he's a mid to top tier guy so we may as well pay him now. I'm just leery.

They know they likely will have to pay tyrod so why not get this deal done which is fair for both sides
Which gives the bills leverage vs Gilmore which will put some pressure on him to get a deal done
Yup. Plus it's ultimately cheaper to sign the qb and use the tag on a CB rather than the other way around. I'm just sooo gun shy given our precious history of signing QBs before they are proven.

Well, he seems like a good person, although an utter distraction in the NFL, and was not capable enough to play in the league. It's hard to believe he can effectively compete with these other young prospects coming up through college, and the minors.
I don't know why he doesn't accept his role as a decent college football analyst on ESPN, and make a nice career for himself. He's so popular by a certain segment of the population, you know he has job security.
Eh, he's chasing the dream. I'd do the same thing if I could!
