Right this moment, no... We're 0-0 and in the playoffs. Super Bowl or bust.
However, when it's all settled, if we end up losing in the playoffs somewhere, a resounding yes. As I told my wife yesterday, no matter what happens, nobody can take away that feeling I had on Sunday. Last weekend was truly one of those "best moments ever" type of feelings. Last December, this team was floundering around in mediocrity with Rex Ryan and Doug Whaley as coach/GM. There was no plan. It was just another "Groundhog Day" season all over again. Now, they actually have a plan, a coach, and a GM all working as one.

How does this loss impact a 3-0 finish by the Bills and a 0-3 finish by the Pats?
Edit: I'm being serious... Since we're playing the hypothetical game, what's he implications of the Pats being 10-6 to finish the year? Are they in or out?

That's a difficult read. I've never lost a friend like that, let alone a friend in the workplace. S. Taylor was a real talent and sounds like a great friend. As for Zorn, good lord... If fans knew what really went on inside the NFL, it would really be a carnival. I'd love to know the real stories of what goes on inside 1 bills drive.

Who will be the Bills version of Paul Gaustad?
Forget that, we need the boogyman, rayzer, may, and Barnaby.
This 96 Sabres team was horrible, didn't make the playoffs, but nobody, I mean NOBODY messed with them:
Also, the "hardest working team in hockey" parlayed this team building suckitude into an outstanding team from 98-01. Now, if the Bills could only get their version of Hasek...

Not Bills... but...
Was at this game... Literally everyone in the arena minus R J Umberger saw this hit coming a mile away. Also, the crowd was sooooo very loud. I miss those days. MRSA really screwed us over that year!!

Can we at least save the Retatta recipe?

I forgot that last time I hooked up an antenna was with an old analog tv. Wanted to use it outside, but obviously couldn't get the HD signal that is built in to newer tv's. The only thing that sucks about HD antenna reception is that you don't want to be in a fringe reception area. The whole freaking signal dies occasionally. I missed the days when the image just got blurry. At least you could still listen, and possibly see something.
Ah yes, the old "watch the Montreal French-Canadian CBC late night movie" routine hoping for the boobs.

Two games is a joke.
It is a start by the league but that hit was everything they are trying to outlaw - Defenseless player, leading with the head, targeting the head, using the helmet as a weapon.
That hit deserves an eight game suspension.
I'm pretty sure 2 was done so that it can be reduced to 1 after appeal. This way, a precedent is set for future cases. Disclaimer, I'm not a lawyer or a Bears fan.
-
Relax, it was just a wordplay on the other meaning of appealing.
Noted.
-
No, he's a scumbag.
Link?
It was a bad hit and a bad look. If he pulled a knife on the dude, then he's a scumbag. Just a bad hit that now has repercussions. And of course he's appealing. That doesn't make him a scumbag, that makes him part of a union exercising his rights.

To the OP's point, I too believe that the Bills passed the "eye test" last week. I really was extremely concerned in the preseason because they looked like a young team trying out new things. I've been conditioned to think that this is due to bad coaching and disorganization. Of course, they were playing the Jets last week, but we had our way with them and really controlled the game well. Carolina is a quality opponent. If they can come in today and do the same thing that happened last week (i.e. play a well coached, game planned game, stay competitive, and concentrate on fundamentals), we will have a chance at winning and then all bets are off...
Now, the flip side that I'm concerned about... I'm 100% conditioned to know that this team will eventually fail and fail hard. We were what 5-1 or something in 2008 before Trent Edwards' brain got scrambled in Phoenix? A couple years later, we beat the Pats and Raiders and looked like a championship team in September/October. We were out of the playoffs by Halloween that year. The only cure for us fans is for this team to somehow turn it around. Based on last weeks performance, there's an inkling of hope. I'll keep it suppressed though and just hope that we beat the Panthers today.
Heck, since I live in NC, I hope we crush the Panthers! #1 in AFC EAST, BABY!!!

RIP Billy Batts. Now go get your shine box.

My parents live in Vero Beach. They left for Georgia yesterday. Took 9 hours to drive from Vero just to Jacksonville which is normally about 2.5-3 hrs.
