  1. I am stunned that so many people here are so gullible.

I enjoyed his schtick, and that's what it was. Great PR, not only for the current movie, but also the next. He's going to keep this up for 2 years until the next movie comes out and don't ever expect the "gotcha" moment.

Well, if you are suggesting that JP is going to play this character, as a persona, for two years, I'd say that is something other than "shtick", and a lot closer to, "crazy motherfuc#er". While I think he is overrated as an actor, he certainly doesn't need a stupid publicity circus act to get roles, and make plenty of cash.

  2. Speaking of heroin, anybody wanna bet that's what Mr. Phoenix was on?

Although, my best guess is Joaquin did a whole lotta nose candy prior to that interview.

Some people don't have the typical reaction to certain drugs, so anything is possible...but. that didn't seem like coked-up behavior, to me. But, he did appear to be: on something, losing his s#it mentally, putting on an act and/or, maybe he's just a weird guy and this is normal for him. I don't really know.

  3. As of Friday am back to using my own connection. It has been interesting to read all the differing views on using a unsecure connection. Given that there is a option of either securing or leaving a connection unsecure, that i was using a connection that was connected on my own property, I think it totally the choice of connection owner to secure it or leave it open. I don't buy the argument of ignorance, either one read all the documentation on installing a item and knowing the usage of item or they have a professional install item for them. I did not know which neighbors connection I was using , or most certainly I would have thanked him or her for allowing me to use it and if they had been unaware that others could use their connection would have shown them how to secure it , if that be their choice.

Glad to hear it all worked out.

But, while you say you don't buy the argument of ignorance, you betray that by suggesting you "would have shown them how to secure it", in the last sentence. Obviously, you honestly realize they just might not know about security. Also, in my experience, it is the "professionals" who sometimes leave the routers unsecured.

Finally, I just realized that my father's router has been unsecured for some time. Not long, I know that, as I did some stuff with it a couple of months ago. But, I installed it, originally, and enabled security. I changed the password recently, too. Well, on Friday, I was testing another laptop, and looked for the key/password, and the computer was already connected to out network (with a warning that it was unsecured). I don't know what happened, but something (or someone) removed the security setting from the router. If it was my father, it was purely accidental, as he doesn't know how to do that.

  4. She looks like an anorexic heroin addict to me. ;)

There's three parts to that interview on Youtube you should watch all of them.

She looked a little too thin, even for me (and I like them really thin), but her face looks fantastic, in that clip.

  5. The best Valentine's Day gift that money can buy... you pick up one of those pre-formed gift bows (the kind with the peel-n-stick tab that you use for a Christmas gift). You get into your birthday suit, attach the bow under your belly button and WHOALLAH! Happy Valentine's Day Sweetie... All the sausage and meatballs you can eat!!! :(;)

    <_<

Actually, I believe March 14th is Steak and a BJ Day:

  6. i thought his line..."i'll come to your house and chew gum" was an awesome line...didnt get the "...we owe farrah fawcett an apology..." line though

Farrah had a classic appearance on Letterman, where she was WAY out of it. It's the butt of many jokes.

  7. Here's a link to the video of the interview. Letterman cracks on him constantly. At one point Pheonix gets ticked at Paul. Here it is:

I missed the part where he gets pissed at Paul, I may have to watch it again.

But, this is Letterman at his best, IMO. I haven't watched him in years, but this was the kind of uncomfortable interview that I used to LOVE when I watched him in the old days. Just freakin' bizarre.

Come to the show stupid, and expect to get trashed. Gotta love it.

  8. I'm black dude. how can i be racist?

besides, most if not all of darwin's theories are fundimentally flawed. just listen to what you teachers and professors tell. you can wind up as dumb as they are.

Well, if you really are Black, I find it refreshing that TSW's idiot-squad isn't restricted to crackers.

  9. Thats why every single fast food place in California is filled with people speaking with Irish accents.

Nearly every Irish Pub in Boston and New York has a bartender and wait staff that speaks with thick Irish accents and most Italian restaurants have a staff that speaks in heavy Italian accents. Do you suspect they are all legal?

  10. Yup. Every single irishman living in the US right now is here legally.

I could go on and on.

Glad to see someone else notices this. Every time I point this out, I am scoffed at.

Now, I'm not bashing the Irish, but I notice that O'Reilly and others who have declared a Holy War on illegal immigration have focused, almost exclusively on the Mexicans. What about the Irish and Russians? Since they are White, I guess it's OK.

Of course, since there are more illegal Mexicans, than those from other countries, I can understand a disproportionate amount of the talk to be about Mexican immigration, but I would also expect a certain amount to be about illegal immigration from other countries.

It should also be noted that, a large number of those of us who have Irish, Italian, Greek, German and other European heritage, have some illegal immigration in our family history.

  11. Here's an idea. Let's do this like intelligent people instead of morons. I know it's a strange and novel concept but please play along with me.

(Strange how he's being compared to 8 quarterbacks taken in the first round)

Once a guy is on your team, and starting, it really doesn't matter where they were selected, does it? That's interesting when you are talking about the ability of a front office to find gems in the later rounds, but when you are discussing who you would rather have as your QB, why do you care where they were drafted? Is Tom Brady great BECAUSE he was drafted in the 6th round? I'd expect us to like our QB because he plays well...not because he plays better than the round in which he was picked.

  12. Interesting...I get the Rodgers pick, but surprise you left Cutler off and added Quinn, Flacco, and Ryan...

    Any particular reason why?

Still not a Cutler fan. Maybe I've just picked the wrong games to watch the Broncos, but he seems to make too many stupid decisions, and puts his team in bad situations. Plus, he seems like a bit of a jerk.

Quinn, Flacco and Ryan have better overall skills than Trent, and all seem bright and capable. I'm not suggesting that all three will end up better than Trent, but right now I'd feel a little bit more confident with any of them. I sincerely hope that I am wrong, and Trent outplays them all. But, Trent can still be a fine QB and not surpass any, or all, of these other QBs.
