We did the Eagles Hotel California show recently, then saw Eric Clapton, which was great. We have Steely Dan coming up at the Chastain Park Amphitheater in ATL - great venue!  Then we have Van Morrison which may be the act I would most want to see. We might have Rod Stewart and some others (maybe Chicago?)

you're going to see more dinosaurs than I will at the Jurassic World show!

I have always found that interesting myself.  While it's hard for me to say since I'm still in WNY, I have a hard time believing I would just give up the Sabres if I ever moved out of the area.  They were such a huge part of my childhood growing up.

My Buffalo fandom actually increased the further I got from WNY.  You realize just how special things are in Buffalo when you reflect on it from afar.  When I first got to Denver, there was no place to watch the Bills games with volume.  So we started a Bills Backers chapter, planted a flag, and the masses of Buffalo fans gravitated to us.  When the Sabres were in the playoffs, our bar was jammed with Sabres fans.  When Pommers scored that goal we spilled out into the streets of downtown Denver like we just won the cup.  Our love for all things Buffalo make us unique out here; it's almost like a family reunion type of atmosphere.  It's really quite special, and we're very proud of that

They've gone on runs like this several times in the last 10 years.  I need to see more. A lot more.  They are giving up far far too many goals for this to be sustainable.

I think the Vegas game, Heritage Classic, down 0-4 in Chicago, and now tonight's RJ game have given us as big a reason as any in the last 10 years to believe the Sabres are ready to contend again

Curious if they did anything off of the More soundtrack.

    SPOILER ALERT

Bassist Guy Pratt told us that during the 94 PF tour rehearsals Gilmour asked the band if there were any old PF songs they wanted to do.  Immediately Guy said "The Nile Song!" to which a cringe-faced Gilmour told him he could kindly go find another band!  And, as Guy puts it, that's exactly what he did!  So Saucerful has done this one - as far as I know that's the only one from More but I have not reviewed every setlist.

I have always done whatever it took to avoid looking at setlists and any other kinds of spoilers.  I never understood why people want to know.

On that note, I am a strictly Waters-era Pink Floyd fan - including the Syd-era; so the Mason show sounds fantastic.  I'm heavily leaning toward going.

I saw Waters do the Wall at MSG back in 2010 and it was amazing.  That said, I never cared for his solo stuff, so I'm skipping this year's tour.

Seeing a show at Red Rocks is something I'd love to do someday.

Interesting that you're a Waters-era Floyd fan, but not a fan of his solo material!  I haven't listened to Pros&Cons or Radio KAOS in ages, but Amused to Death in my opinion is the best solo PF album of them all and it still finds its way into my rotation.  For what it's worth, Rog is on record saying this is his farewell tour.

Hit me up if you ever need a place to stay for a Red Rocks show, I'm only 15 minutes away.

I'm really intrigued by the Nick Mason tour and I see he's playing in NYC (Beacon Theatre, which is a perfectly sized venue) in December.  Looking forward to your review!!

Definitely go see this if you are a Pink Floyd fan!  In fact I recommend springing for good seats if you can.  Gary Kemp is a wizard - he does a great job emulating PF sounds with whatever box he has attached to his guitar.  They perform a lot more obscure material, which is great for diehard fans.  I recommend not looking at setlists prior to your show to keep the surprise factor intact.  Lots of fun, worth every penny imo.

Roger Waters later this summer, Tedeschi Trucks Band x2 at Red Rocks, Umphrey's McGee x 2
Gov't Mule spring tour got postponed after Warren fell on his shoulder and fractured his scapula while on vacation in Costa Rica - ouch.  All the summer dates are still intact though.

  7. I'm not exactly sure if you are talking about reading mock drafts done by media, or mock drafts where you play the GM.  But I usually bang out 2 or 3 rounds once or twice per day on these sites just for fun:

    https://thedraftnetwork.com/mock-draft-machine

Since I don't play fantasy any more, I also have fun tiering the players.  Once I get around 30, I know that at least 5 or more will be available at the Bills pick.  It helps me to see trends.  For example, if there is the expected run on CB's there will almost undoubtedly be a stud WR that falls, and vice versa.  And if somehow all these CB's and WR's go, it's because one of those monster OL surprisingly didn't and that could be a huge opportunity for the Bills.  I'm no expert for sure, and trades throw monkey wrenches in the whole thing, but I feel I have a better beat on things after doing these for a few weeks.

Draft…. There’s huge value at the end of round 1 with guys they may have be there at 25….
Either McDuffie or Booth Jr is my guess.

I have Kaiir Elam or Roger McCreary.  see no reason why Bills shouldn't stay at 25, somebody good is gonna fall

  9. Lake Placid is a great place to visit to relive this memory.  They have a museum at Herb Brooks Arena with the net that Eruzione scored into, as well as pucks and sticks from the game and a lot more Olympic memorabilia from both '32 and '80.  Since the rink is still used today by the locals, we were able to sit on the players benches and also quietly sneak a visit into the locker rooms - both of which were original to 1980.  You can still feel the excitement of that day in the air.

I mean, there's that Italian Bills fan that frequents the boards who definitely cares!

Might not speak the best English, but you can make out enough to know he loves the Bills & the NFL lol

I'm talking about playing regular season games in Europe, not against Europeans being Bills fans

  11. I went to Europe in 2014; wore my Bills hat and talked football with anyone who asked.  The conversations primarily gravitated in 2 general directions:
    1) How can we call it "Football" when it's not really about using our feet
    2) It's too much like Rugby, which they already have, so why bother

I was there several weeks before the World Cup, and there were already parties til all hours spilling into the streets.  Trying to talk these folks into NFL football would be about as easy as, well, talking an American into liking pro soccer.  There will be exceptions for sure, but on the whole it's never going to stick.  My .02 anyway.

  12. I'll be honest, I'm not excited about the orchestra thing.  But FOMO will almost certainly lead me to buy a ticket for The Two anyway, as I am definitely a life long fan.  I got to visit Beachy Head a few years ago, and Quadrophenia was on my mind the entire time I was there.  So I'm guessing I will hit nostalgia overload during those songs.  Along with Roger Waters, and Nick Mason whenever they reschedule their dates, this will comprise the geriatric part of my 2022 concert schedule :)

Key word is multiple. If we do this once they don’t have 3 seconds to kick the fg

Here are all the key words.  You don't get one free down to tackle all their receivers.

ARTICLE 3. INTENTIONAL FOULS TO MANIPULATE GAME CLOCK

A team may not commit multiple fouls during the same down in an attempt to manipulate the game clock.

Penalty: For multiple fouls to run off time from the game clock: Loss of 15 yards, and the game clock will be reset to where it was at the snap. After the penalty is enforced, the game clock will start on the next snap.

  14. I lived in KC for a year and I had more football related talks with Chiefs fans than I could possibly remember.  They love to talk X's and O's that's for sure.  These people take their professional family photos wearing Chiefs gear and they take their tailgating very seriously with preparations starting days prior (especially since the NFL started opening the lots only 4 hours prior to kickoff, which really cuts into meat smoking time!)  I'm happy to hear the experience for our fans was predominantly positive because I gained a lot of respect for Chiefs fans during my time there.
