US, UK Carry Out Strikes Against Houthis in Yemen

Iran has been trying to escalate the conflict in the Middle East and it looks like they just got their wish. Tonight for the first time since the start of the Houthi attacks on shipping in the Red Sea the US and UK launched attacks on multiple Houthi sites in Yemen.

    About damn time.

They're not settlers.  They're fanatical ultra orthodox Jews that have been driving Palestinians off their ancestral land for decades assisted by the Israeli government and money from America.  And please nobody queue the narrative that Israel is surrounded by enemies that want to destroy them.  Stealing land and expanding your borders by moving religious zealots into the area to cause all kinds of trouble for the previous inhabitants is not a defensive act.  I don't have any sympathy for Hamas or Islamic fundamentalism but lets call out these settlements for what they are and ask who was there before and where did they go?

I'm not quibbling over verbiage. Fundamentally, I agree.

The threats were sent via Facebook on Oct. 9 to residents of Qusra, a Palestinian community in the Israeli-occupied West Bank: “To all the rats in the sewers of Qusra village we are waiting for you and we will have no mercy. The day of revenge is coming.”

Two days later, on a sunny Wednesday afternoon, a group of masked and armed Israeli settlers struck the village in what would be the deadliest attack by settlers in the West Bank since the Israel-Gaza war began three months ago, according to data collected by Yesh Din, an Israeli rights organization that closely monitors the settlements.

A Washington Post review of exclusive visuals of the attack, medical records and interviews with witnesses and first responders reveals that one of the Palestinians killed, 17-year-old Obada Saed Abu Srour, was shot in the back by settlers, probably as he was running from gunfire.

Israeli troops, meanwhile, did not forcefully intervene, despite their obligation under international and Israeli law to protect all residents of the West Bank, including Palestinians. Soldiers and police were photographed at the scene of the deaths only after the attack ended, even though troops stationed at nearby military outposts were within earshot of the gunfire and had views of an earlier attack by settlers, the visual evidence shows.

How the war has changed life in Israel and the West Bank

Abu Srour, the eldest of four children, with aspirations to become a policeman after finishing high school, was killed along with civil engineer and new father Muath Raed Odeh, 29. They were trying to protect the home of 30-year-old blacksmith Awad Mahmoud Odeh from attack. Musab Abdel Halim Abu Rida, 20, who worked in the fields and could always make his grandmother laugh, was killed near Abu Srour.

This is one area where Israel deserves all the criticism they receive. The settlements and settlers need to be reigned in.

The tunnel itself?  I think they've already done that.  You want every synagogue to be checked for underground tunnels?

This relates to this thread only insomuch as it's fishing for examples of Jews getting away with something.

You know, because of their "influence" wink wink...

Lots of questions. I live in Florida. If I were to do something like that the city would force me to fill it with concrete on my own dime. If I refuse they will fine me. If I don’t pay they will put a lien on my property. Is NY state different?

Are they gonna investigate those tunnels? And if not, why?

Why are there mattresses underneath there?

Why isn’t this being covered on CNN and Fox?

ABC NYC, Newsweek, New York Post, NY Daily News all covering it. Probably being treated like the local story that it is without any real implications nationally would be my immediate take.

Some religious wackos dug a tunnel under their church. The leadership of the church called in cement trucks to fill it in and some of the whackos got pissed about it. Looks like the cops arrested a bunch of them.

There you go. Projecting again. Oh and I’m not some weak punk like you. I won’t let your false accusations stop me from saying the truth. AIPAC brags about picking winners in our political races. Foh you robot.

Oh please don't kick sand in my face! I've yet to receive my Charles Atlas book in the mail.

Actually, maybe a Jewish kid beat you up once. Would explain a lot...

You both ignore the reality of the situation. You’re hopeless. You’re both helpless. You see a genocide is taking place but you don’t care. You make excuses. A foreign nation has infiltrated our government and you dgaf. You are all lost. If it were any other nation you’d be pissed. But alas the brainwashing has worked and it typically does on weak and hate filled people.

Furthermore I have to insult you both. You’ve earned it. You should be ashamed of yourselves. You’re pathetic sorry ass losers.

    Another great evidence based response!

It even includes the ol' "Jews are controlling the government and brainwashing you" trope.

Man, you're bigotry is firing on all cylinders today. All simply because your panties are in a wad over the fact that your team of "freedom fighters" are just a bunch of bloodthirsty murderers and rapists.

You have the audacity to call others willfully ignorant, all while looking for any excuse to ignore or justify the actions of terrorists.

But hey, the name calling really seems to be working for you. Keep it up! 😂

Bro you’re a dumbass. Ain’t much I can do for you. You’re a lost cause. Brainwashed, hateful, ignorant little minion. Brain-dead. Incapable of critical thinking. It’s no surprise. You ignore reality. Your false accusations don’t mean ***** to me.

And yet you can't stop responding. 😂

You'll probably take your toys and go home like you once did, but until then I'm happy to call out your idiocy.

I'm able to reference articles citing UN evidence. You on the other hand seem to favor tweets of screenshots with no context.

I'm not surprised though. Your kind (racists, bigots, etc.) tend to be on the lower end of the Bell curve when it comes to intellect.

I know all that. I also heard they were protecting and manning a post. They are soldiers.

    F’n liars

Asking for more evidence doesn't mean it didn't happen. Even the UN's independent investigators admit that it happened

Man, you hate Jews and love Hamas so much that you'll willfully misinterpret anything you can to play down their atrocities.

But no, go on and tell us again how you're not a raging antisemite. 😂

  10. The New York Times continues it's downward slide:

Don't really care about Taylor Swift, and I don't care about her romantic preferences (unless under some very unlikely circumstance she happened to prefer me) but this is absolute trash. It's not news, it's not reporting, it's not journalism. It's not fit to print.

It's a shameless "opinion" piece wherein some piece of ***** spews speculative nonsense about someone's personal life.

The Times should be ashamed, but you know they are not.

Reports said there were 2 explosions which implies 2 bombers which implies planning and coordination of some degree along with the ability to elude and pass through what I'd expect was some security measures at the site (if there were none then they must be really stupid).

Two is a common tactic amongst terrorists though. The second explosion usually is to target emergency services/first responders.

Too soon to jump to conclusions obviously, but my money is on some rebel types.

This would be particularly bad if it turns out it's the Isrealis and frankly would be surrendering quite a bit of moral high ground on their part.

So its ok when Israel does it. Brilliant

Specifically targeting civilians is a far cry from collateral damage, yes.

That you don't get it, isn't terribly surprising to anyone.

Given this was a high-level ceremony marking the death and honoring a revered General my expectation is this wasn't a "civilian" crowd but rather a group of officials, ranking members of the military and civilian government in attendance of "high" value that could be taken out in one place at one time.

The initial suspicion is Mossad.  Iran has made the usual threats of vengeance which they usually fail to carry out.

I wouldn't rule it out, but that isn't generally Mossads MO (assuming it was a suicide bomber at this point).
