Her Biography.   Keep in mind, kids borrow money and give it to colleges.   Colleges then give the money to the King-Slutzkys of the world.   The kids then don’t pay the lenders back.   The government then collects from you, and me, the taxpayers, for the loan.     Loans can’t be cancelled.   Lenders can only be stiffed.

The bright side?   Our kids spent four years with this … with your tax dollars in her pocket.  People get the government they deserve.

    Biography

My dissertation is on fantasies of limitless energy in the transatlantic Romantic imagination from 1760-1860. My goal is to write a prehistory of metabolic rift, Marx’s term for the disruption of energy circuits caused by industrialization under capitalism. I am particularly interested in theories of the imagination and poetry as interpreted through a Marxian lens in order to update and propose an alternative to historicist ideological critiques of the Romantic imagination. Prior to joining Columbia, I worked as a political strategist for leftist and progressive causes and remain active in the higher education labor movement.

The talent level on this team is so far behind the Niners, Eagles, Chiefs, Lions and Ravens

    it’s not even close.

For all the games we've played against these teams in the last two years, what's the total point differential?

Without doing a bit of looking I'd bet it's no more than -7 in the opponents favor.

Edit: lost to th le eagles by 3, beat the lions by three. Even.

Beat the Ravens and beat the chiefs 2 out of 3 times with that being in our favor as well.

So overall we have a positive point differential against all of the listen teams over the last two years. Don't tell me we're "so far behind" because the results don't support that.

Beane is drafting like he has a lifelong contract with the Bills. We have so much need and RB is not one.

I think he's drafting like a guy who beat the champs once in the regular season, and lost to them by 3 points in a game where half of our starting defense was laid up

This take is a load of... well, you. 😂

The issue is never the issue. It's always about the revolution for Marxists.

2020 was the summer of BLM mostly peaceful protests.

Get ready for the 2024 ramp up of mostly peaceful riots and acts of terrorism.

I can't quite make out what they are chanting, probably something stupid though.

I've never been a fan of mindless chants but I suppose it gives protesters something to do, otherwise it would be a fairly boring endeavor.

I think the upside here, if you're looking for one, is that in a city of 8 million (?) they could only muster about 200 idiots for their cause.

With that population I could probably get double that to eat Tide Pods coated in Dave's Insanity Sauce.

The only thing that we know definitively is that they sold out of the $50K PSLs. There were 450 of them. I think that they were calling it the Legend’s Club. Everything else is speculation.

I heard this as well. As of Thursday evening there were 2 left in the legends club. I'm guessing they didn't last long.

Just in case you and your partner are not going to use all the tickets yourself - see what the Sabres are doing to ticket resellers. Just looking down the road.

    https://www.sportsbusinessjournal.com/Articles/2024/03/11/buffalo-sabres-season-ticket-reselling-crack-down#:~:text=have notified season tic

I really wouldn't worry too much about that.

This is the Sabres using a state law to their advantage to crack down on people who buy tickets for the sole purpose of reselling them.

  6. Anyone else looking at the field level club? I have an opportunity to split a pair of seats with a friend. I didn't get to do the stadium experience and the 15k PSL is a little much but it looks pretty sweet and I'm pretty sure I'm going to pull the trigger.

Just curious if anyone else saw them and had an opinion one way or the other.

    Very difficult challenge for them.

They don't have the military ability to do really serious damage, as they don't have a strategic bomber capable of delivering the weapons necessary.

They can do things through internal Iranian sabotage, and I think being an Iranian nuclear engineer has proven to be an unfortunate job title over the years, but the Iranian program has been largely deep underground and dispersed to many sites.

For sure, All they can really do is sabotage and slow things down. At the same time, there are probably enough above ground infrastructure in facilities where strikes can do damage to continue to thwart their efforts to get a bomb.

That’s why I think this was retaliation for Israel’s attack on the Iranian embassy in Syria.

Iran has to respond to save face, but does so in a way that Israel can defeat the attack to prevent escalation.

    Stop calling it an embassy.

It looks like they have launched missiles.  I only have NewsMax on via Rumble.  Anyone have a good up to date link or twitter feed?

Missiles yes, but hypersonic missiles no.

Right now seems like it will be ballistic missiles that are easily intercepted.

    It’s all good.

Deterrence is a nice goal, but when you're dealing with a country run by non-rational actors, you still aren't likely to have an ideal outcome.

Also, short term != long run.

Yeah this is bound to be ugly for a little while, but it probably needs to be done.

    Expected this.

    Defensive system saturation.

Will be interesting to see the outcome.

They clearly didn't heed the "don't" admonition from our executive branch.

To be fair blaming Trump or Biden (I'm seeing both flavors of that nonsense) is silliness.

This has been decades in the making. Assuming we come to their aid, Iran will be set back decades both economically and militarily. Maybe most important is that their nuclear capability will be next to nothing when the dust settles.

Call me hawkish, but this might actually be a good thing in the long run.
