    Wow that sounds so lame.

And the "expected to come" part is pretty funny. "uh, yeah, we think these people might show up"

And the price of entry is $30!?

Yeah if the "Bills Kid" doesn't show, I'm asking for a refund.

I mean seriously, this looks pretty awful. It would be cool to get autographs from the rookies I suppose, but half of those people I can see at Hammers lot on a Sunday and have a beer with them for free.

  2. Welp, here we go.

I've made no bones about being hawkish relative to Iran for many years now. Similarly I've not been shy in my dislike of Trump in general

With that being said, I don't know what combination of those two things made me laugh out loud in his capitalization of "BOMBS" , but it did. I take no comfort in people losing their lives, but damned if that didn't make me blow Utica Club out of my nose.

Constitutional conservatives: where's Congress? Where's the authorization for the use of military force in Iran?

Isn't that, at a minimum, what's required before Trump launches any U.S. assault?

If this is about regime change, isn't that essentially a declaration of war on Iran? Why no declaration?

The last time we declared war was WWII.

Funny you mention the Constitution because many of the arguments against the Constitutionality of the War Powers act were in fact claiming that that the imposed limit on POTUS were unconstitutional, not the other way around.

So your point about constitutional conservatives being upset is a bit misguided.

I don't know where Stephen Miller got his law degree,* but the constitutional guarantee of due process has never been limited to citizens facing criminal charges.

That's why the U.S. government can't deprive someone - anyone - of life, liberty, or property without due process of law. Life. Liberty. Even property.

It's kind of right there in the 5th Amendment.

*Trick question: he doesn't have one.

You should look into the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996, and subsequent rulings.

Due process, in particular as it relates to expedited removal, is different for people who entered the country illegally.

I haven't seen if there was a ruling for those who entered legally but have exceeded/violated the conditions of their authorized entry, but I'm willing to bet they treat it roughly the same.

Basically, if you sneak if and they nab you 5 minutes later or 5 months later, it doesn't really matter.

^The dumbest comment yet from "legal scholar" Mike Davis.

So I guess this doesn't exist:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immigration_and_Nationality_Act_of_1952

    Or this:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immigration_and_Nationality_Act_of_1965

All of which spell out due process rights for "illegal aliens." As passed by both house of Congress and signed by the president.

Care to point to which specific provision(s) you're referring to?

The article seems to indicate the act removed some due process. From your link:

"The Immigration and Nationality Act eliminated numerous due-process safeguards shielding immigrants from deportation abuses."

I guess we'll just go with "disappointingly small"

I'll tell ya what; go on record here, right now, with an estimated crowd size that you feel would be acceptable by your own definition of not "disappointingly small".

Then we can objectively look at attendance figures from multiple sources (i.e. not just from Trump) and we can see where we land.

I get it. I just took a look for a still photo of what I saw on the National Mall cam. Plus: bad weather forecast, the No Kings thing going on, there's lots of explanations.

I'm just pointing out that this isn't exactly the Bastille Day America parade Trump had wanted. Probably should've just done it on the Fourth.

I'm sure later I can selectively find a crowded photo once things are published, news articles, etc.

Look, we get it. You're looking for any excuse to ***** on it. If that's what floats your boat, a salude.

Look, just stating a fact here. It is clearly not very crowded. Make of it what you will.

I see empty bleachers, I get it.

But that clip was showing the empty lawn with zero view of the parade route. This isn't a fireworks display. I would expect that an area 100 yard away with no sight lines wouldn't exactly be bustling with attendees.

Edit: And as I'm watching the C-SPAN coverage, certain areas look absolutely packed. Plus it's a parade route. Probably goes on for miles so people are spread out more than you would have say for an event at the national Mall.

Look at you sharing a nugget from the alternative scum! Republicans Against Trump is running circles around catturd on this.

Wait, are you trying to tell me that the areas with no view of the parade are sparsely populated? No way!

It's all just  virtue signaling of one kind or another. Somehow I was born without the gene that makes me want to do this.

I've thought the same thing as I go through the exurban southwest and see Trump signs and Trump flags. There are no heathens left there to convert.

Yeah some neighbors around me proudly fly Trump flags and I can't imagine why.

Never have I cared to decorate my domicile with the name of an elected official.

But hey, you do you bro.
