If they're not giving returning subscribers the $100 discount again, then I'll definitely pass.

Never mind. I finally realized that the teacher discount also applies ro college faculty, so I was able to get that.

Yeah, I dunno man. I played around in the playoff machine a lot. The only thing that flipped the seeding was the Ravens game.  So /shrug. We'll see when we see. I don't really concern myself with these things much anyways. The seeding ends up what it ends up. I just like to play with the machine for some side fun.

Most of the cases where Bills win strength of victory include Miami making the playoffs.

If the Steelers lose to the Eagles and then win out their strength of victory will be higher than ours and conference record would be the same.  That's assuming we lose to the Lions and sweep the rest of the season.

Yes, I understand but the poster I responded to asked for a specific scenario. They asked if we both lost this week against an NFC opponent then both won out the rest of the way. In that scenario Pitts has the tie breaker.

The Steelers do not necessarily win the strength of victory tiebreaker. As I've said previously, if both teams lose this week and win the rest of their games then either the Bills or Steelers could win the strength of victory tiebreaker. It depends on how every other game goes in the next 4 weeks.

I'd guess that the linchpin is probably the Steelers/Ravens game.

Not sure what you mean. The specific scenario we're talking about is the Bills and Steelers both losing this week and winning all the rest of their games (including the Steelers beating the Ravens). In that case, they're both 13-4 with identical conference records and identical records vs common opponents.

So the #2 seed would come down to strength of victory. And that won't be determined until all the games are played.

If Pittsburgh beats KC and we end up tied with them we fall to the #3 seed.

Based on what? If the Steelers and Bills both lose this week and win the following three games, their records will be 13-4. Their conference records will both be 10-2. Their records vs common opponents will both be 4-1.

In that case, it would come down to strength of victory, and we won't know that until all the games are played.

Rapp did get fined for taunting on a different play where he tackled Mostert (no penalties given). Could see him jawing after the play, but didn't make any gestures. Rapp wasn't penalized on the play. Not sure how talking some smack after a tackle is worth a fine, bit whatever

Not only did Rapp get fined for taunting, but his fine ($11,255) was bigger than Poyer's fine ($11,193) for the hit on Coleman. That's just nuts.
