1. Yes, I know he has some issues at times but I think he would excel on our team with the chemistry these guys have and a great head coach (Mularkey).

He is about 3mil per year, has size, speed, and still very young.

Its only a suggestion but it sure beats anyone else we have as a 3rd WR.

I still think OL is our number one priority but my next biggest fear is what happens if Moulds goes down again or Evans has an injury, then the other WR gets doubled and does nothing. We need a strong WR to take pressure off and it will open up our running game even more. Please lets improve our OL, then get a solid WR and TE since we don't know the status of Campbell and E off their major injuries. I really think if we can somehow do these things, our offense will be equally as dangerous as our defense, yes even with Losman in his first year.

Mularkey is gonna put that kid in an offense and situations where he will succeed.

We also could release Pieralou or however you spell that to get a tiny bit of cap relief. Can you imagine all those things and drafting that kicker form Ohio St who can kick FG's from anywhere???

  2. HOLY CRAP.............now dwight drane and guffalo are giving some incredible weekend plans as well. You guys are the best! All this support in just under two hours. Dori and I should host a party for all you guys to show our thanks.

    Drinks are on the house!!!

This is gonna be a great weekend for us............thanks everyone!!

    Keep those suggestions coming.

    Coach :D

Great suggestions are pouring in from all you fellow Bills fans and we are so appreciative of your support.  I received this message from SeasontixfromClev member and so far this is definitely what we are looking for.

Captainhook and fezmid also have some great ideas.

Bills fans are awesome..........just like FAMILY!

    Hey Coach,

I would recommend the new Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls, ONT. There are a number of good restaurants in Nagara Falls, depending on your choice of food.

The Fallsview has a number of great suites, obviously with great views of the falls. The Casino is beautiful as well, if youre interested in gaming.

Enterprise rent a car would be your best bet, but any of the major car rentals will provide you with the service you need out of the Buffalo airport.

As you think about tailgating, it depends on your mood. I would recommend arriving at the Ralph fairly early and heading over behind the fieldhouse and you can catch the players arriving around 10 am and then make a stop into the Bills Team store to pick up anything you may need to help your wife become a diehard fan.

If you want more specific help on the restaurants let me know.

    Good luck!!

  4. I appreciate the feedback but looking for something a little more romantic and sobering before the Sunday game.

You can do what my buddies and I do...

Arrive Saturday afternoon. Go directly to hotel, unpack, shower/shave. Head to Canada for dinner and drinks. Enjoy the arts that Canadia has to offer, especially the Sundowner ballet. Arrive back at hotel around 3:30am. Hit up the Denny's across the street for some greasy food to sober us up. Go to bed around 5am.

Wake up 7:30am. Shower, drink lots of water/Gatorade. Head to the Ralph, start tailgating ASAP.

After the game, head back to the lot, grill a few more burgers. Head back to the hotel for a nap. Head back to Canada for another night out.

Might not be romantic, but the last time my buddies and I did this, it was one of the best weekend's of my life.

  5. I know the schedule isn't out yet but does anyone have an idea when it will be released? Also, my wife and I are newlyweds and part of the "prenup" was for her to become a die hard Bills fan. Lucky for me, she wanted to be one anyway.

We want to plan a fantastic weekend in Buffalo for the Bills first home game next year with a Saturday visit to Niagra Falls.

    We need help/suggestions for:

How to acquire top notch seating somewhere between the 30 yardlines -

    Great places to eat -

    Really nice hotels -

Best rent a car company -

Must see sites or attractions time permitting -

Money is not an issue for anything although we don't want to be stupid and overpay for things we don't have too.

Any ideas or suggestions is greatly appreciated since this is our first trip together to see a Bills home game (we saw Bills at Jets last year in the Meadowlands).

This is also the first visit for me to a Bills home game since the Mike Ditka undefeated Bears came to town back in the 90's and the Bills crushed them.

We are really excited about this trip.............please help!!!

WE WILL BUY TWO GREAT SEATS FOR WHOEVER CAN COME UP WITH THE BEST PLAN FOR OUR WEEKEND!!!!!

    Thanks,

    Coach and Dorisel in Virginia

  6. I know this isn't a "trade" because Law is a free agent but I'm basically trying to say if we trade Clements and acquire Law, its similar to a trade and we weaken ourselves at that position with no guarantee's with Law

Ty Law is damaged goods and their is no telling if he will ever come back to the level he was before the foot injury.  These injuries are key with corners and one bad turn/twist and a reinjury is easily possible.  No way I would trade Law for Clements at this point.  Clements is much younger and a ton more upside.  The key will be re-signing Clements before next season to avoid free agency biting us in the ass again.

  8. In case you were wandering.

This is how Kiper rating our two free agents (Jennings and Williams)

Jennings is rated as the third best free agent Off Tackle

Williams rated as the third best free agent Def Tackle

Well folks, I probably dislike Mel Kiper as much as all of you do but he does put out an incredible detailed draft blue book and with this years purchase he also sends out an awesome 2005 Free Agency Data Sheet.  The sheet lists the top 15-25 players at each position and is extremely helpful in analyzying all of the free agent moves teams are making.  It even has a restricted free agent listed and has players ranked on that too.  The bad news is that of the 18 OT'S listed and 26 OG'S .......no where is Mike Gandy listed.  Definitely looks like a Marcus Price replacement which oh, by the way, Price is listed as a valuable and versatile back- up at the #8 OT position.  Maybe a young Gandy is better and cheaper then an older and more expensive Price..........although he did well for us when in there.

I have to believe that Tom D is gonna cave and throw in a late 6th or 7th round pick to get the Henry-Shelton trade done.  I'm a firm believer that Henry is worth more then Shelton but the Cards know we are more desperate to replace Jennings with a solid player at a great cap cost and the Cards are sitting pretty with being able to take a stud running back with their draft pick if the Henry trade doesn't go through.  The Bills will step up to the plate and make a big move before this is all said and done.  We have made too much progress the end of this year for that not to happen and Tom D. knows we're a playoff caliber team.  Bills are back baby........gotta Bil-lieve.

  10. Hey Jerky, "a couple of weeks" from a January 20th post means a decision is very possible next week. For you to respond "wtf" just because of someones opinion translates into YOU needing to relax and take a chill pill. If you get that uptight over somebody elses opinion, you must really be a miserable person.

A Solution Looming For Bills Quarterback Spot?

    Joshua Gregory - Thursday, January 20, 2005 - 4:47 PM

(WGR 550)-Buffalo Bills General Manager Tom Donahoe made an appearance on ESPN's Mike and Mike in the Morning show today and addressed a number of issues on the team.

He said that the team will be addressing whom will start at quarterback for the 2005 season in the next couple of weeks. Donahoe commented that both Drew Bledsoe and J.P. Lossman bring different intangibles to the game and that the Bills need to make a decision as to where the team is headed.

Donahoe also spoke about the status of running back Travis Henry. While the team gave Henry's agent permission to seek out possible trades with other teams last week, Donahoe stressed that any moves would obviously need to benefit the team overall and not just any deal would be approved.

    Dude wtf!!

TD says a decision will be make in the weeks ahead and you all think "OMG 2 weekS" deadline is up WHERE IS THE DECISION.

    It is going to be awhile yet.  R E L A X

  11. The kicker is Mike Nugent

I'm guessing the Blesoe decision will be announced sometime in the beginning of next week.  The Super Bowl is taking all the headlines and rightfully so.  I imagine Tom D. will wait until next week to make the decision public.

I'm really excited because as much as I like Bledsoe as a person, he doesn't have the skills and qualities needed to take the Bills to the next step.  Although Losman will go through some growing pains, their is no doubt the talent is there and while Bledsoe has peaked, the sky is the limit for Losman...............not to mention it will be much more exciting to watch Losman run an offense then Bledsoe.  The best part of all this will be not having to watch Bledsoe talk the talk before a big game against a solid team, only to see him come up with a horrific performance time and time again and then say "we all played bad" when most of it was a direct result of his poor play.  Lets face it, our defense is AWESOME, but when the offense can't get first downs and turns the ball over against good teams (like is always the case with a Bledsoe led team),  the defense is constantly on the field and eventually it wears down and the good teams pull away from the Bills.

I fully believe that we are one good strong quarterback away from winning a Super Bowl.  Although its way too early to annoint Losman as that kind of quarterback, its a hell of alot better chance to go with him then the likes of a Drew Bledsoe.

Also, I sure wish we didn't extend Bledsoe's contract last year.....................we would have had that extra cap money THIS year to re-sign Williams and Jennings without a problem.

P.S. How about that great kicker from Ohio St. to be our second or third round pick?  He kicks the heck out of the ball from all distances and Lindell needs to go.

Kickers don't usually go that high but the reports on him all have him going easily on Day 1 of the draft.

  13. When Pats are at full strength, I don't think we can go into Foxboro and win this year..............but they are decimated with injuries in their defensive backfield and receiving corps and that should be enough for us to take advantage with our recharged offensive line leading the way for McGahee. Don't forget, Vrabel might not be playing either. As long as we can play smart, mistake free football like the last two games and pound the ball on the ground with some occasional downfield throws to keep the defense honest, I really see us winning this game by at least a FG. Bills are one of the hottest teams in the league right now, regardless of who they've played and I see the streak continuing.

    GO BILLS

P.S. Please don't let the Brady to Daniel Graham connection kill us again.

They always seem to hook up rather easy against our team and that is the one thing we have to control.

Similar to the Bledsoe - Coates situation we always had to deal with in the past.

  14. [

    Very well said!

    quote=KurtGodel77,Nov 7 2004, 12:24 PM]

The reason Losman isn't RJ is simple: in college, RJ wasn't known as a sack waiting to happen, because his offensive line was good. In the pros, he never had the chance to play for a team with a good offensive line.

Losman, on the other hand, had a lousy offensive line when in college. He demonstrated a Flutie-like ability to mask the weakness of his team's line, and an RJ-like ability to throw the deep pass. Putting Losman in when he's healthy would make sense.

    105667

  15. Called in and talked to Andy on his pre-game show and he clarified that he talked with Donohoe on his Thursday NFL Blitz Show and Donohoe said when Losman is healthy..........HE WILL PLAY. Now I guess the rest is up for all of us to interpret but at least it sounds better then NOT PLAYING AT ALL. The talk show host (Andy) also agreed that Bledsoe is terrible (statue) and repeatedly makes bad decisions and (or) poor throws. I also mentioned to him that people are continously mentioning how Losman hasn't proven anything yet and he said that all the Bledsoe has proven the past two years is that HE CAN'T GET THE JOB DONE.

Enough said. I'm guessing Losman starts the last 4-5 games to get his feet wet, sell some tickets, and bring some energy and enthusiam to our lethargic offense.

McGahee, Evans, Losman...................hmmmmmmmm reminds me of Thurman, Reed, Kelly!!!

  16. Ice, although sometimes I don't agree with you..............you definitely hit the nail on the head with everything you said. My sentiments exactly. I'll tell you one thing...........I'm really starting to like Mularkey's no-nonsense approach and he will make whatever moves are necessary to improve his team. If that includes benching an underachieving statue like Bledsoe, he will........regardless of egos.

I know we only saw Losman briefly this preseason and it was against 3rd stingers but anyone who saw those games cannot deny how exciting it was to see him back there running the offense with his LEGS AND HIS ARM. True, the only way Losman is going to speed up the learning curve is by throwing him out to the wolves. I think the offensive line, although not particulary strong, is gonna look a little better with a quarterback who has some pocket presence and can avoid the rush. That alone fires up the offensive line when they see their QB making something out of nothing and avoiding sacks/fumbles. I still haven't figured out why some people are still such strong believers of Bledsoe. Are you watching the same Bills games and every snap to go with it?? Do you all really think Tom D/Mularkey, etc.. would make such a bold move to give up our #1 pick if they didn't think Losman was something special?

    quote=ICE,Nov 6 2004, 10:02 AM]

These areguements are pure bull stevestojan. Drew Bledsoe was done BEFORE we signed him. But some fans MUST have him succeed. They can't come to grips with the reality that TD made the wrong move. That Bledsoe is and has never been anything more than an average QB.

"Seasoned"? I read that word. Well Rothlesburger isn't 'seasoned'. Manning wasn't, Marino wasn't, Elway wasn't and on and on and on. History is starting to show SITTING a QB his rookie year is NOT the way to go. The only way a player develops is PLAYING!

    Not seasoned? Play him.

    Immature (*) Play him.

(*) BTW who the !@#$ came up with that? Immature? The kid was going to lose his football program at Tulane. Major schools wanted this kid. He said NO. He started there, he would end there and support that program until it died. You guys are pathetically reaching for excuses if you say JP is immature.

Long story short, this season is done. Beat the Jests, Fine. We will finish out this season no better than 6-10 and even that is wishful thinking. When we do we will look back and know we should have started JP Against the Browns and let him start the last 4 games.

Then you know what the best part is? We still have to wait NEXT year for him to develop. Man that will be great. Fans will hang that on his head and boo him out of the stadium although any FOOL knows it takes ON THE FIELD TIME to develop.

Let me add this. I am sick of 'I am not ready to give up on the season yet'. What fuggin season? We WILL NOT MAKE THE SUPERBOWL! Now that we have cleared that up, Start playing and developing the trio that just might get us there next year or the year after or the year after.

  17. Good thing your not coach of the Steelers this year with that "Rookie Quarterbacks don't start" attitude.

I for one hope Bledsow plays every down this year.

I hope Losman doesn't play until 2006 or 2007 at the earliest.

Who does he think he is anyway?

I don't want HIM to get any experience on the field until Drew is safely in the HOF.

Afterall, Drue didn't start as a rookie. <_<

Rookies NEVER start in the NFL.

    Especially Rookie Quarterbacks!

    Won/Lost record be damned!

    Play Bledsow.

    Play Bledsow.

    Play Bledsow.

  18. offensive lineman that is

Aren't you the same person who said the Bills are starting to click after the Fins game and then we had Bledsoe back to his normal self against the Ravens.

How many times can we be teased when our defense and special teams steps up to the plate and the sputtering offense tears our hearts out with a lackluster performance?  How many times do you have to sit through almost an entire game with hardly anything to cheer for with so many 3 and out series these past two seasons from our offense?  Why do you think sometimes the defense has stumbled occasionally in the 4th quarter after playing stellar all game?  Well, look at how quickly they are always back on the field after the offense does nothing and the defense eventually wears down at the end.

We are starting to see improvement with McGahee in the backfield, and need to get Evans the ball more too, and if Losman gets his feet wet with 4-5 games this year, THE SKY IS THE LIMIT FOR THIS TEAM NEXT YEAR..........especially if we pick up a stud lineman or two through free agency.

This team is starting to click. Why ruin a good thing happening. :P

  20. P.S. Who cares if Losman hasn't proved anything yet.

What the Hell has Bledsoe proven in the past two seasons.

    NOTHING.........ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

HORRIBLE, LAUGHING STOCK OF THE LEAGUE STATUE.

LOSMAN will at least bring some energy and excitement back to the Bills!

Wake up and smell the coffee bro.

True.  Losman's proven SO much, so far.

    104090

  21. Oh, so Bledsoe has a better arm, mobility, and makes things happen?

Hey, listen............if we are not going anywhere, and we have a world of potential sitting on the bench...........we have nothing to lose and everything to gain by giving Losman a shot. Bledsoe is definitely not going to improve at this point in his career and can only get worse.

You'll be crying for Bledsoe to go to the bench as soon as he has another horrible game or two.

Your blind right now because we are on a one game winning streak.

We have wins over the Fins and Cards and you think Bledsoe is doing okay?

    Sure buddy

No way Losman can be worse then what I've witnessed from Bledsoe over the past two seasons.

True.  Losman's proven SO much, so far.

    104090

  22. Sorry, I'll take Tom D's word over your thinking anyday.

Besides, he knows Bledsoe hasn't been getting the job done for 2 straight seasons and the future is now. His ego is at stake and if Dallas ends up with a high draft pick from the Losman trade, he will want to justify his move by at least getting Losman 4-5 starts.

Ding, thanks for playing.  Losman will see time in certain situations AT BEST, unless the Bills lose the next 2 games because of Bledsoe, which is doubtful (i.e. that Bledsoe will be the sole cause).

    104004

  23. Tom Donohoe was on Sirius Radio yesterday (NFL Blitz) and a caller asked when Losman would be ready to play, if at all.

Tom D said Losman should be cleared for full practicing in 2 weeks and we should see him on the field very shortly from that time.

Sounds like Bledsoe's days are truly numbered........YES, THERE IS A GOD.
