Can't accuse of Nix of trying to be sneaky. There's no one he talked up more than Gilmore. Feel a little disappointed. Would've liked this pick if were able to trade back a couple spots and get an extra pick.

How is three pro bowlers from one draft not an A if not A+? I'm not sure we're getting three pro bowlers but it's possible. All three of those guys are very good.
This is not directed toward you, but if we just took Maybin off the #1 choice and put him at #4 and moved everyone up a notch, very few would say anything negative about the draft. To me, it's nonsense to say you have to hit a homerun with the #1 pick. You just have to get great production from any pick, and good production from 2-3 others to make it a very successful draft.
I almost agree with you. The difference in missing with the 11th pick compared to later round selection is the high quality talent that is still on the board during the 1st round. Bluenews post illustrates this perfectly. There were a dozen or more very good players picked after Maybin in the 1st round.
still the next 3 Bills picks salvage a B- grade.

Thank you San Jose. Give us break Beastly. The comments on Claiborne were pretty tame. learning disability or not, unless he can't read at all, he could still do a little prep and score at least a 10. Yes you can prep for standardized tests. Considering the Wonderlic is a known part of a multimillion dollar interview process, it's just lazy. The criticism is deserved.

I truly hate NE and all Boston teams for that matter. Most pompous fans in the country. But over the past 10 years or so, since the Patriots have been good, I've tried to root for the Dolphins when they play NE and I can't bring myself to do it. My hatred of the Dolphins from the 70's - 90's is too ingrained. So it's MIA, NE, with NYJ a distant 3rd for me.
I have lived in all 3 enemy territories and attended multiple Bills road games in each city over the years. Although the Jets fans talk an amazing amount of crap considering what a mediocre and dysfunctional franchise history they have, IMO they're still less offensive than patsies or fish fans.

am i the only one who thought of Hank Stram talking about "atriculating the ball" down the field when I saw this thread?
It was "matriculating" and yes you are the only one

Draft Rice the same year we drafted Reed. Imagine! If we still managed to get Lofton here...well, wow!
That's an interesting one. As it is the 1985 draft was the base of the Bills golden age. Bruce Smith, Andre, Frank Reich, plus at least a few others who were solid contributors. Replacing Derrick burroughs with Rice, might have made it the best draft of all time.
What's really amazing is that the Bills had the first overall pick that year and 2 picks in each of the first 3 rounds. They had 6 of the first 63 picks.

I would like to go back and not trade back into the 1st for JP Losman. We could've gotten Rodgers the next year after his 1st Round free fall 1 pick before the Packers.
Exactly.

guess i`m in the minority, but i`d be pretty pissed seeing that if i was a patriots fan
ya, the pc answer is its only football and life goes on, but you`d like to think that a guy who just lost in the super bowl just a few hours before wouldn`t be acting like he just won it...its not a romanticized notion, there are still players out there that care enough to not want to go party after a loss like that
a bit of a stretch, i know, but imagine that was stevie after we had just lost the super bowl...this board would implode
Helluva good point. I attended 3 of the Bills superbowl losses while single and my 20's. Had a great time before the games, but was too depressed to party afterwards, just as a fan. personally it would've pissed me off to see Thurman Thomas and crew having the time of their lives after a couple of those miserable performances.

The bleacher report can print what it wants. No actual Casino was giving 100:1 odds before or during the season on the Giants. Pre-season ranged from 25:1 to 20:1 in most Vegas spots. The Bills on the other did get 100:1 pre-seson in LV. I have the ticke to prove it.

Wrong Keith Ellison. The Congressman is 49 yrs old. The 'game' LB is much younger.
Sense of humor anyone?

Because we have the same below average talent on O minus 1 starting lineman.
