  1. I can't believe Barry. Bidding high on a hunch. I've got to wonder if he cleans out the lockers like they are supposed to, or if he just leaves everything but the one item he thinks is worth something. Jarod and Brandi should team up with him and take his leftovers for their store.

    Apologies for hijacking this thread....

I just got into watching this show: I like it. There was a marathon the day after Thanksgiving that gave me a healthy dose of the main people on the show:

Darrell- the everyman who is trying to make a living at his swap meets. I swear, half the episodes I've seen show him driving away with nothing.

Dave- plays the @$$hole role very well. He ALWAYS seems to get the big score when he buys a unit.

Barry- slick cat who's been around and enjoys what he does.

Jarrod and Brandi- fun, antagonistic couple who stumble on some good finds. They shouldn't have a problem seeing into those dark storage units, what with the headlights Brandi has! :flirt:

I tried watching "Lady Hoggers" but it's just plain dumb, which is saying a lot for the crap that is on TV. I think A&E is going for a little subversive T&A with Brandi on "Storage Wars" and those two gals on "Hoggers".

  2. Just a question about cloud that I really have no clue about, What happens when you hit hard times and can't pay the rental storage fee?

Dave Hester comes by and outbids everyone for your property, sells it for pennies on the dollar to some friends of his, who then sell the property at a significant markup.

I use Google Music for my online music storage as well, accessing it through my smartphone. I have several invites left if you need one to get Google Music.

  3. I tried the Fried Kool Aid at my State Fair in August. Color me unimpressed: it was six spheres of dough that was rolled in Cherry Kool Aid powder and deep fried, sprinkled with powdered sugar. Too much Cherry flavor for me and bland-tasting on the outside.

  4. So do I. Thinking back, I can't think of anything they could have cut to show the industries.

Has anyone seen the documentary, "Six Days to Air: The Making of South Park"? It aired this week on Comedy Central and shows how much stress these guys put on themselves. They try to wedge in the main plot and sub-plot in the 20+ minutes they have of programming. It shows how difficult it is to cut scenes and add scenes to make the show work. Really a good doc on Matt/Trey and the group who works insane hours to generate an episode from scratch every week during the season. The staff goes through a lot to make the shows relevant instead of putting them in a can a few months ahead of time.

  5. i know we need receivers, but this guy has got too many disciplinary issues. i don't think he fits this team's character.

I used to cover Lloyd's games when he played at the University of Illinois. He was perceived as a diva, me-first type of guy who had tons of talent but couldn't put it all together. He was a key member of the Illini team that won the Big Ten in '01and played LSU (Josh Reed) in the Sugar Bowl in January 2002. The 2002 season had high hopes for Illinois but they underachieved and missed bowl eligibility. Lloyd's underachieving and locker room attitude was a part of the problem.

Maybe Lloyd has turned a new leaf and is a terrific teammate now in Denver? However, I remain skeptical and worry he would impact the team chemistry in Buffalo. Maybe Lloyd comes in and helps this team to reach Indy this year and he'll erase my doubts.

  6. The colors there don't quite jibe, but that swath in CA is getting the Cleveland-Oakland game.

Look at the Ohio/Indiana/Kentucky/Ill. area --- that's the color for the Colts-Bengals.

I can't begin to tell you my excitement of having the Colts-Bengals game on my local CBS. :censored: That's because I am far from excited. I guess it's another week of watching the Bills online!

  7. I just bought a ticket to Game Five of the NLCS. Brewers-Cardinals is gonna be a fun series I think. These teams are not fond of each other, so someone is going to be torqued that they lost to the other team for a right to the World Series.
