  1. They certainly could use another offensive weapon. I hope he still has enough left to be their go-to guy. Of course, having stability at the QB position could go a long way towards helping Chicago out there as well.
  2. Yeah, I know about imbd. One stop shopping.
  3. Tra Thomas supposedly has an out clause in his contract that could put him on the market this offseason, though I can't say that's the case for sure.
  4. Found it. It was called Forces of Nature. I didn't see it, but my wife says it's good.
  5. Oh. I don't think I've seen it. There is one he was in w/Sandra Bullock that my wife likes. I just can't remember the name of it. I guess I could just check Google and stop being so damn lazy.
  6. I think that's the Ben Affleck movie my wife likes. Is that the one w/Sandra Bullock in it? I really don't remember.
  7. Don't forget The Rainmaker, perhaps the best film version of a John Grisham book. Damon was very good in that movie.
  8. I really thought Affleck was good in Good Will Hunting. After that, in the films I did see him in, he wasn't impressive.
  9. Thanks for putting the thread back on topic. I haven't seen Finding Neverland, but I heard it's a good movie. Actually, I can't remember the last time I went to the movies. It's been a while. Lately, I've been catching them on the premium channels and buying them if I like them.
  10. She actually likes those. There's a pizza shop right around the corner from my brother's house (he lives up by Veterans Stadium-where all the high schools play their football games), and she tried them there. Believe me, if there was a chance I could convince her, I'd be outta here!
  11. Yep, there's plenty of good folks there. Most of my family still lives in Erie. Only my niece (who lives in Florida w/her kids) and my wife and I don't live there out of my immediate family. My Mother recently retired from SSA (Social Security Administration) after 37 years and bought a house in Erie. Not bad. I do like their housing prices. I'd move back there in a second if I could convince my wife to move some place cold. Yeah, right.
  12. Ahh, spoken like a true prodigy. BTW, I sent you a PM. Check it out.
  13. It'll be another calculated risk that works out for the Pats, as usual.
  14. Before his injury, Scott was one of the best defensive players the Steelers had. Ever since, he's been a shell of his former self. Maybe as a nickel/dime back, he'd be okay, but not as a starter.
  15. Nope. Nothing wrong with it. I admit, I don't cry very often, but I do cry at times. My brother is a reporter for the Erie Times, and when I got married, he did an editorial piece about my wedding called "Hurricane Wasn't Enough To Stop A Brother's Wedding Day Tears". My wedding was 2 days after Hurricane Floyd hit our area, and he made mention of the difficulties he had in driving from Erie to Baltimore the same day Floyd was hitting Maryland. He said it was worth it to see my cry after the minister announced my wife and I. Even my wife got into the act, bragging that she waited 12 years for those tears, etc. To me, it's not a big deal, though.
  16. There's nothing wrong with tearing up at a movie. Some movies just have that effect on people.
  17. Life is Beautiful is very good. Depressing, but VERY good, significantly better than Shakespeare In Love.
  18. Again, we just have a difference of opinion on some topics. When I mentioned Scent of a Woman, in addition to the movie being awful, I also believe Pacino's performance is subpar. It's over the top in a Jim Carrey-ish sort of way, beneath his considerable acting talents. He can do great, understated work (see Heat). There are many, obviously, who thought he was good in Scent of a Woman. That's fine. I didn't. Like I said, I'll be on the lookout for The Patriot.
  19. I did see Shakespeare in Love (vastly overrated) and The Full Monty (good movie), but I haven't seen The Patriot yet. Maybe I'll catch it on one of the premium channels some time.
  20. Hopefully they'll concentrate on interior OL. Until the line is upgraded, we shouldn't look anywhere else. OL pass rush depth at CB then.... backup QB backup RB Maybe some of those needs will be taken care of in free agency (let's hope). If so, that frees up some draft picks to look in other areas.
  21. It suits you.
  22. You can still take that minute if you need it.
  23. 'Talent' being the operative word, right?
  24. Must you be?
  25. Of the nominees for Best Actor that year: Russell Crowe -- A Beautiful Mind {"John Nash"} Sean Penn -- I Am Sam {"Sam Dawson"} Will Smith -- Ali {"Muhammad Ali"} Denzel Washington -- Training Day {"Alonzo"} Tom Wilkinson -- In the Bedroom {"Matt Fowler"} I had no problem with Denzel winning it. I also would've been okay w/Russell Crowe getting it. Will Smith was great in Ali, but I thought Jamie Foxx was just as good playing Bundini Brown in that movie and should've been nominated. Speaking of the supporting actors, I saw Iris and thought it was a good movie and Broadbent was good in the role, but I thought he was better in Moulin Rouge that year. I also thought Ethan Hawke was great in Training Day and was just as good as Denzel was. As far as the actress race went: Halle Berry -- Monster's Ball {"Leticia Musgrove"} Judi Dench -- Iris {"Iris Murdoch"} Nicole Kidman -- Moulin Rouge {"Satine"} Sissy Spacek -- In the Bedroom {"Ruth Fowler"} Renée Zellweger -- Bridget Jones's Diary {"Bridget Jones"} That one could've just as easily gone to Renee Zellweger for Bridget Jones' Diary or Nicole Kidman for Moulin Rouge. All 3 were very good. Judi Dench was okay in Iris, nothing special though.
