  1. After today's game Ryan Tannehill proved why he is a top ten draft pick and come draft time we might not even have chance to draft him, especially with Barkley returning and Landry Jones regressing. I know we have an immense need for a pass rusher and many of us have been clamoring for Coples or Upshaw but those guys just aren't good enough to give us the pass rush we need from a top ten pick. This a QB driven League and with out our own franchise QB we will never be a winning team. Fitz is good but that is all he will ever be and would be a good mentor for Tannehill.

    Draft risers

Ryan Tannehill (6-4, 222), senior, QB, Texas A&M

Tannehill’s NFL potential finally took off after winning the starting job during the 2010 season. So far this year, he hasn't disappointed.

Tannehill has displayed much better pocket sense. Combined with his foot quickness and athleticism, he moves efficiently to avoid pressure and can re-set, either in the pocket or outside, with accurate throws. He does an excellent job of reading defenses. When he finds open receivers, Tannehill gets rid of the ball quickly and is usually on target. He is more poised than before, and doesn't panic as plays breakdown. Also, he doesn't throw the ball up for grabs to avoid sacks.

Tannehill has good arm strength and does a good job of throwing the ball where only the receiver can make a play. For a player who was viewed as a likely fourth-round pick entering the 2011 season, we have heard scouts talk about him being a high second-round pick now.

[that will be high first come draft time]

And his Fiancee is hot!!! :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:

    http://www.lostlettermen.com/tannehills-fiancee-hits-internet/

i wouldnt waste a 6th on him! this moron is tallenhill mop up boy at a rub and tug on something... tannehill is useless... spend picks on D oline and WR if we cant get a real stud QB.. if we are gonna use a pick on a QB, take one with legit potential not a guy that has regressed in only his yr as a QB... he came into yr being VERY talked about cuz AM was ranked to start yr and had 2 good WR' and 3 if u include tanenhill who is a better WR than QB. should have stayed there and could have been a better version of Jones who the jags took.. but as a QB hes useless if bills draft him, i will never come back on this site to hear about this losers love story with tanenhill.. ur just like skip bayless on tebow... tebow may be a great kid BUT BE A LEGIT qb... any "NEW" offense takes time to figure out.. look how good ours was at start of yr.. once teams find a way to stop and they do, u have to go back to basics and jsut be too good to stop.... i think fitx has had like 2 , maybe 3 games where he looked GOOD since the start of yr.. he may have had numbers, but even his screen passes he cant hit RB in stride... good luck with down field throws

And this was the extent of your analysis?

"After today's game Ryan Tannehill proved why he is a top ten draft pick… "

I was expecting a bit more than that… I saw the box score.

It looks like he put up decent numbers but that also doesn't tell me anything.

That's cool. I'll just go watch some video on him.

But I was also hoping to hear other people's impressions of his game today.

on most important play of game, last drive trying to milk a lead, where the good ones shine and WIN the game with a lead and 1 more first down ices it... throws a 12-15 pass that landed 5 YARDS short of WR... he puts up solid numbers cuz hes in college and playing college d's but misses key throws at wrong times and had a few big games this yr, but when it counted, he crumbled and stunk up joint... a team that talented on offense should have won more. doesnt have the intangible to be a "closer" and win games in 4th but either coming back or hitting last pass of game to get a first down

  2. at 7-8 mil a yr... hes worth every nickel... seems like stevie is being realistic to what his market value is cuz hes not a tru3 #1 like a megatron. and not even as good as the roddy white level WR's... he should be paid like a top of the line #2 WR which is what he is... sometimes u dont need a #1 WR if we can resign him, and then sign another guy of the same caliber, and have 2 front line#2 WR's and have nelson as a solid slot guy.. our WR corp would be much improved. tons of FA this yr at WR

  3. when i started this post, i did not do thinking this is what the BILLS would do even though it would do a great situation cuz WE HAVE TRADED for a QB with them b4... Mallett had 1st round "stuff" his main issue coming into the draft was his mental game... the pats had little to do with grooming him, hes not cassel or hoyer or any of the guys they have had behind brady b4... those guys did not have the raw talent Mallett had. they drafted him with a late 3rd... i 100% think they drafted him, to trade him cuz one thing pats are good at doing, is shutting loud mouths up and cleaning up their image.. that was mallett's problem, not TALENT.. Mallett was an SEC QB, not a big 12 or pac 10 guy playing soft D's week in week out... he had the leadership skills but lacked the polish and the ability to brush off a bad play in Arkansas... being in an environment watching the ultimate pro and competitor in brady HAS to help.. we will have a high 3rd and think he will be traded no matter what this offseason.. i dont think it would take more than a high 3rd (which we had) and maybe a 4th or 5th or a solid vet on D but they are just beyond awful of D.. if Nix wanted him, i dont think it would be a big obstacle to get him and hes 1 yr ahead of all the kids coming out this yr and talent wise i would rank him 3rd over landry jones and hes had a yr in pros already which is a HUGE thing...

like i said, I DONT EXPECT this to occur, but like i said in the title of this post its INTERESTING POTENTIAL..

  4. yea, like the pats are going to trade a QB that was groomed by brady to a division rival.good luck, maybe they'll throw in vince wolfork

maybr u dont remember them trading a PRO BOWL QB in bledsoe to a division rival.. im not saying this is gonna happen, but they clearly drafted mallett to groom him and trade him..

  5. after a yr of learning under brady.. the kid had ALL the physical tools to be a stud and i loved him in college.. very competitive and pats certainly drafted him to trade him.. dont think bills will go after him but i like him better than landry jones and any QB this yr outside of luck and RG3 and he had a yr to learn behind brady and talent was never his problem.. immaturity was his biggest problem and pats are the ultimate team to take boys and turn them into men..

just an intersting thought cuz we arent getting luck nor RG3.

  6. His completion percentage is quite a bit higher this year than at any time in his career.

ya cuz all this throws are 2 yarders... and even on those he has trouble hitting guys in stride.. hes an average backup at best... we need a QB that can throw down field so that the short stuff opens up. any QB's could have a high comp % in this dink and dunk offense.. Barkley staying in school is the worst possible thing for us.. makes teams that need a QB more desperate. luck and RG3 will be both be gone by top 5 and nest best is landry jones who has a bigtime arm but has been really shaky this yr.. i have all the oklahoma homes on DVR and will be watch every one once he declares for draft.. he may also end up staying in school too cuz coming into yr, he was the #2 QB on the big boards after luck and seemed like a sure fire top 5 pick and i think hes now maybe 15th unless someone falls in love with him and drafts for need not BPA..

  7. Sign Jackson to a 3 year 15 million dollar contract. End of story.

jackson will not take that little.. we will want premier rb $..

TRADE freddy.. been posting this for weeks.. we are a young rebuilding team. CJ is or future. we can easily get a late 2nd or 3rd for freddy from a contending team in need of a RB that can produce NOW. ;et them pay him 3 yrs 20-25 mil which is what he will want. we do not need both RB's is this system.. all u morons that think we need both is out of their mind, not in chan's system.

  8. After Barkley announced he would stay for his senior season, it basically threw the QB class for the draft off. Now there are many teams who will beat us out to get Griffin if he declares and that leaves us with Landry Jones, who is a combination JP Losman and Blaine Gabbert-like intangibles. I also don't wan't someone in the 2nd-3rd round who would be a "project" like Tannehil or Lindley. The next QB class looks VERY SOLID...Now I'm not going to say "um yeah it's the best since 83" and all that non-sense, so I will tell you what I think about Fitzpatrick. I don't think he's a franchise guy by a long-shot and also don't think he can make the playoffs unless we go back in time and convince the 2000 Raven's D to play for us, but if he fails like he has for the past seven weeks we will definitely have a top 5 pick...unless we get those TO's again. I definitely know for a FACT that our offensive line is overrated, but playing better than it has the past 10 years...now I don't know who is to blame, but I have heard Pears' name alot and it can never hurt to add more. As for the wide recievers, I definitely know Blackmon or Jeffrey would be game-changers and Kendall Wright is definitely an under-valued prospect. As for the defense, where do I begin. It's atrocious and needs OLB's or DE's (If we switch to 4-3) and may need a CB. Now for my thoughts on our upcoming draft strategy. We should trade our pick...simple as that (for a late first and a second) because I see the players potentially on the board not matching up to the value of our pick. Now we draft an OLB in the first, Nick Perry in the second (like this kid after every day), and Mike Adams an LT (could be elite and very underrated). Then comes the 2013 draft, We should definitely pull the trigger on the best QB available...end of story (Matt Barkley, Tyler Wilson, etc.). So what do you guys think?

    110% agree...

I just love barkley.. think he wil be better than luck.. luck checks down WAY too much.. barkley hits his WR's not his RB's and doesnt have the running game than luck did nor the defense. This kills our chances at a top 3 QB this yr cuz obviously Luck is going #1 pretty obviously and now with barkley out of draft, RG3 will be a top 5 pick even though he probably would have been anyway and landry jones is not worth a top 10 pick where we will be drafting... this is the worst possible thing that could have happened to us.. we really needed a premier QB prospect and i see us losing out and would have had at shot t barkley or rg3 depending on who teams take ahead of us. i think we now should trade down and pull a bellicheck and add extra picks cuz of our numerous needs.. in we can move down 5 picks or so and and another 2nd or 3rd i think this would do us more than anything. knowing Buddy he will be taking a nap and not being able to seing a deal.. id love to see blackmon....

  9. This photo from One Bills Drive is 5 x 6, Pats game, he is pointing to his left and with black marker it reads "Thanks for your support - Ryan Fitzpatrick"

Did he actually write this and sign it or did all the ticket holders get the same one.

If he did handwrite 20,0000 of these things, no wonder his hand is killing him and his passes are off.

its not even worth the postage!

  10. well, we have many issues.

but this quote from early on in the dialogue resounds for me.

" Give FJ an extension, make sure Spiller gets 10-15 touches per, scrap this spread BS offense and become a run heavy team. "

sure its not gonna happen, but might we be better served till we get recievers and Fitz allows his new meds to take hold, to develop a run game.

Heck we have Corey and then Fred and CJ and the Choice. We have some nice Tight ends in Smith and Caussin to block.

Maybe we should get a run game on?

it doesnt matter.. its not gonna happen.. everyone loves to talk about things that will not occur.. its time for ppl to be realistic.. its not chan's style to do that and chan will be back next yr.. we dont need 2 stud RB's for his style of offense. maybe if jaurons days it could be a great combo but not with this offense..

  11. This is a total lack of common sense ! Now that Gailey has seen just what Spiller can do & said in his presser that "I didn't want to give him the ball 25 or 30 times because he's a smaller back" it is the perfect storm !!

Can you say Thomas / Davis 2 ?? This year they road FJ hard & although Fred did a great job if they inject CJ more now than before it can benefit the whole team & it's future by giving CJ more carries & cutting Fred back a bit to give him a longer career life !

So this talk of getting rid of Fred is just plain stupid :wallbash: man what are you talking about   ???

the game has evolved.. this is not the days where you ground and pound.. i started this thread NOT saying CJ is BETTER than freddy , but we are a young team and we used a 1st round pick on him.. ride him.. Spiller and Choice is a good combo if we can build other phases of the team..

For all u guys that dont think freddy is gonna want 8-10 mil a yr , ur nuts.. no way in hell is he gonna accept less.. this is his last chance at a big contract and a football career is short and this is what hes gonna have to live off of the rest of his life. he will refuse to be a part time back and split carries now that spiller has shown he is capable and deserving of alot of touches. Freddy is sick of being the other guy which he has done his whole career. he wants to be THE GUY and rightfully so.. We would be nuts to pay him big bucks when we could easily get alot for him..

For the guy who tried to compare his situation to lynch.. ur an idiot... lynch had major off the field issues and everyone knew we had no need for him.. it was a buyers market for him.. Feddy on the other hand.. We can play hard ball with and EASILY get a 2nd and at worst a 3rd.. either way, Spiller is our future.. u dont need to top backs.. u need a distinction between who is #1 and who is #2.. Choice would be the perfect fit to remain our #2 and fits that role perfect. Freddy is gonna just be too expensive considering all the other needs we have and how cheap we are. i'd pay a 25 yr old stevie the big bucks and sign another WR of his caliber which will be available thru FA and trade Freddy to a contender in need of a RB.. i brought earlier the packers, and someone else brought up the lions.. both would be perfect fits for him.. u dont think the lions who are a young team with the best WR in the game and a #1 overall pick would give up a 2nd round pick for a PROVEN stud rb??? in a heartbeat they would..

As i mentioned at the start of this post.. We know chan will be back and his offense passes to set up the run.. and is a spread based mostly out of the Gun.. spiller is the perfect guy for that style of offense and is getting better and better. i'm willing to bet anyone here a grand that freddy is not a bill next yr..

  12. WHY DOES IT ALWAYS HAVE TO BE ONE OR THE OTHER?????????????????

WHY CAN'T THEY JUST DO LIKE ALMOST EVERY OTHER TEAM IN THE LEAGUE AND RUN WITH 2 GOOD RB'S??????????????????????

That was the whole point that they tried to do when they took McGahee, they planned to go heavy running game with a tandem of Henry and McGahee. Fans, who are always crying about how the Bills need to be run first, kicked and screamed about wasting a pick, and Henry wanted out. Then you have McGahee and Lynch and everyone runs mcGahee out of town for not being a Buffalo homer. Then with Lynch and Freddy, the fans run lynch out of town cause he is a "thug" and will surely be suspended for the season real soon. Now with Spiller and Jackson, its "lets run Jackson out of town cause the Bills surely won't pay him what he wants and we can use the Draft pick" (Same thing said about Evans this offseason, now that its happened it wasn't good enough and the front office is inept for getting rid of him and not seeing the future need for WR's on this roster)

    VERY SIMPLE....

Chan;'s offense is not a run heavy offense.. having both is a luxury and not needed. whether we like it or not, as long as chan in our coach, his style of play is a spread offense... Ppl ether have it have accept or stop complaining... Chan is not gonna change the way he built an offense. He needs the right QB and the right WR and a speed back.. Spiller fits this mold better than freddy... We arent running him out of town... we are doing whats best for him and the team. He deserves to get paid and he should get paid.. BY SOMEONE else.. anyone that thinks we are a team that will become a run heavy team is nuts, its just not gonna happen so stop praying for it.. We need another WR desperately and the right types of WR's are out there in free agency.

  13. It doesn't matter how well CJ performs for this team, there are waaaay too many people just wanting the kid to be a bust around here. I am not one of them. The argument is that he was a luxury pick, which I still find laughable, since we have SO MANY play makers and depth on this team. He can be an every down back, but for some reason people love to make blind assumptions that he can't be. Look at his physical stats, he's bigger and taller than Reggie Bush, He's taller than Thurman was, and weighs within 6lbs of the guy, but yeah, he can't play every down. Give me a break. He and Freddie are the 2 most talented guys on the team, and past Steve Johnson, there is nothing. I hope he stays a Bill, because if the front office runs this guy out of town, you can expect the franchise to unravel exponentially.

spiller is our future... we invested a 1st on him and we didnt collapse cuz freddy went down.. we collapsed cuz teams figured out fitz cant go downfield.. spiller breaks run and that TD he got yesterday, freddy did not have the speed to do.. whoever thinks a contender that NEEDS a rb wont trade a late 2nd for fred is nuts... Freddy is our LUXURY pick.. not spiller.. i loved this kid in college and was dying for him to get touches and was now that he is showing hes got game and not a bust we are in a very good position... him playing primarily at WR also helps him cuz chan likes to throw the ball to the backs and he got valuable time watching freddy pick holes while he worked on his route running which will only make him better.. if we are gonna rebuild, we need to do it right. Nix has said over and over they want to do it thru draft... time to prove it.. spiller was OUR 1ST ROUND top 10 overall pick... he MUST be "the guy".. whoever thinks we cant get a LATE 2nd for freddy is nuts... spiller has improved every aspect of his game and handled being on the sidelines very well for a top 10 guy.. he moved to WR when we needed depth there.. his blocking has improved and more importantly his vision to find holes which was his biggest weakness has gotten much better... hes becoming much more patient and i think he learned that by watching freddy. Freddy is a slasher who finds holes, spiller is a burner that when he finds holes, he can break away and hit the home run.. even when freddy broke big ones... it was like watching slow motion... spiller still runs east to west a little 2 much but if hes "the guy" and has an offseason like that, he will be a stud next yr and easily be a 1300 yard 10 td back with at least 50 catches and be a great first round pick, not a bust.. u dont draft a guy top 10 to be a gimmick guy, u dont draft him to be "the guy".. ppl here are so happy to label guy a bust an always look at glass as half empty not half full... This regime has a yr or 2 left.. if they dont show big progress , they wont be around... they made the mistake by paying fitz, dont make same mistake by paying Freddy. Let him get paid... BY SOMEONE else, and let him help our process in moving forward. PERFECT destination is GB. would be a very late 2nd which we could use to get a 2nd pass rusher which we should use our own 2nd on another pass rusher.. We draft the QB in the first and this team HAS A FUTURE and the right building blocks.

Anger comes along with being a fan of this franchise!

One more point about FJ. The guys has done nothing but be very productive throughout his career. He's been silent while two RBs were selected to replace him and what happens when they finally make him the feature? He's one of the best RBs in the league. If the Bills are going to pay anyone one this team, it should be him! Kelsay, Pears and Fitz have done next to nothing but FJ who has been very productive and at times great is one of the lowest paid starters in the league. But this is the Buffalo Bills and ineptitude in their game.

Give FJ an extension, make sure Spiller gets 10-15 touches per, scrap this spread BS offense and become a run heavy team.

Chan offense is not build to be a run first offense.. Chan's style will not change.. hes an offensive guy.. 75% of our snaps our out of shotgun and he likes to throw to set up run.. even when freddy was running wild, alot of his touches cam out of shotgun. We dont NEED both.. we need a friggin WR to be a deep threat and resign Stevie.. with stevie, a FA and nelson in the slot, our WR corps would be well above average. Paying freddy is the gentlemanly thing to do but is the WRONG BUSINESS move and football move.. we can build around spiller, follow the strategy they have been preaching.. BUILD BY THE DRAFT. this yr is loaded with talent and if somehow he can get RG3, that like having a 2nd RB.. we dont need freddy. then spend rest of draft on D and throw in a mid round OL to build depth.

  14. ive been thinking this ever since he went down... FINALLY spiller will get his chance as a full time RB... spiller has been VERY solid.. hes growing every week and knowing how frugal we are, paying a 30 yr old RB 8-10 mil a yr when we are not a contender would be a total waste when we have a guy that THIS regime drafted in the top 10... that money we would spend on freddy needs to go to stevie and another WR.. how many good yrs does freddy have left? especially after coming off a season ending leg injury. i'd be less comcerned if it were a shoulder but its his leg... Ppl will say, he doesnt have the milleage that other RB's his age have been i beg to differ.. its not like he wasnt playing... he played all over the world and had to work HARDER just to get a shot in the nfl... i know he wasnt getting hit by NFL caliber players but he was still getting hit as often... i would hat to lose him, but Spiller was gailey and nix 1st round pick and is showing he is more talented than freddy and i think it was good for spiller watching freddy work his magic earlier this yr.. spiller is a hard worker and didnt act like a primadona saying he should be the starter.. he did whatever the team asked and learned from playing behind freddy. With him as our lead back, and re sign Choice who is a perfect #2 back our RB situation is fine and not a concern.. i hope they play hard ball with freddy cuz as much as he deserves a raise , this is still a business... i own a flarge company, and would not pay a guy HUGE $ if u have a guy waiting in wings especially with the glaring needs we have else where..

This would be a very beneficial situation.. freddy is still under contract... if we got a 4th for evans last yr who should major decline in production.. we should easily get a 2nd for freddy... there are alot of teams that are contenders that freddy would fit in perfectly... packers is 1st to come to mind.. the way freddy catches the ball out of backfield he would be the PERFECT rb for them.. i dont know their cap situation but they would be a late 2nd round pick cuz of their record and they have a glaring hole at RB. it makes me sick to even think it.. but the pats traded us Bledsoe , and by trading within division we could probably get even more.. jackson would be lethal there.. again, im not thinking with my heart cuz it would kill me to see freddy shred us twice a yr but this is a business... he is a VERY VALUABLE asset.. we dont have many and the time timing is perfect..

I know there are gonna be alot of ppl not liking this idea.. but we are NOT a contender... looks like we may draft in top 8 and may be able to get a real QB, cuz watching fitz miss easy throws make me vomit.. he cant hit a deep ball in his life depended on it and he makes easy throws look hard and never hits guys in stride.. if we can get a Rg3 or Barkley and resign Stevie and have spiller.. that is a dynamic big 3 and with the dough we save on freddy get a guy like vincent jackson or even a meachem.. they are not old and would suit our needs drastically.. our D is not as far away as it looks.. if we go to a 4-3 and use the draft primarily on D we have alot of young building blocks..

Dareus and williams at DT... kelsay is serviceable at DE and draft a pass rusher in 2nd and hopefully another 2nd (via freddy trade) at OLB.. barnett in middle and let the rest of our guys battle in out and other OLB slot.. i think shepp can move outside with ease.. we comes from a LSU D and he was the leader there and is very atheltic.. our secondary could use another good CB.. i hate floyrence. but williams will be our starter for a long time and our safety situation is probably our strongest position with byrd and wilson and searcy looking solid..

im eager to hear responses to this thread!

  15. What ever, if you think Keenum is better than Tannehill you are the Bozo mr. I watch all the games and have all the packages. A&M ran a lot of Spread and shotgun but RT can't do it here and CK can? Right. You act like I'm in love with RT but your man crush for CK is blinded but huge rose Colored Glass. You must be one of those guys that think there are all these hidden stars down in the small schools. There is some but Keenum ain't one.

I hope we pick Tannehill in the second just to piss you off but then you will be cheering him on when he is running and throwing for touchdowns for us. QBs that can extend plays like Roethlisbeger, Newton and Tebow will be winners in this League and RT and RG3 will be the next to do it.

the answer is RG3 or barkley and the problem is we probably wont be able to get either.. WASTING a 2nd on tannenhill when we need so much other help is useless.. id rather guys use a later pick on a QB and use fitz for another yr and get a solid pass rusher in 2nd round.. tannenhill will never amount to anything. hes totally useless.. do u give him rim jobs or something?? we have so many other needs and QB should be addressed in 1st round if possible. We need a QB that actually wins games, not just talented. id rather kirk cousins that tannehill if we were to waste a 2nd rounder on a QB. but i dont like him either.. 2nd round HAS to be a pass rusher. if we dont get RG or barkley i have no problem with a draft thats all D and throw in a mid round OL. WR should be addressed thru FA not draft.. we have enough kids at WR and this best yr in a while for a WR in free agency. i'm no fitz fan but i dont see any upgrade unless we can find a way to land RG or barkley.. ive never been a fan of losing out but this yr i kinda hope we do cuz he desperately need a real QB .. where we will be draft is crucial.. i even think Jones would be a good fit even though i'm not his biggest fan but im sick of QB's that we used higher picks on that dont win games that we drafted on "talent". JP and edwards had all the "tools" but were not winners. same goes for ur boyfriend tannehill.. keenum probably wont be the ANSWER but id rather take a flyer on him in late rounds and draft D.. if e re-sign stevie and freddy we have a solid foundation on offense with an emerging TE a great slot guy and hopefully a FA compliment to stevie..

  16. No more mid- or late-round QBs. If a premiere QB is there in the first, then take him. If not, then focus somewhere else.

Keenum's numbers are all system. I suppose you would've drafted Tommy Chang as well.

He's not timmy chang... he has the size and is a REAL leader... i pray we get barkley or RG3 but it may be very hard if we arent in top 6 or 7... after those guys, i would even rather keenum than jones... keenum can all ALL nfl type throws.. ive watched EVERY game he played his yr.. he suits Gailey's offense perfectly.. hes a much more polished and mature than the bulk of the other guys and our offense is as close to a college spread as there is.. u cant just put him under center in a conventional offense.. but in shotgun spread which WE USE.. he fits in perfect and would free us up to draft D.. dont get me wrong i want RG3 or barkley, but unless we lose out, they probably wont be around when we are selecting.. keenum is better than the 2nd tier QB's like tannenhill who had tons of weapons and still couldnt win.. that bonehead guy who is constantly posting about this loser is off his rocker.. Fuller, coming into yr was a lock for a top 5 WR and had a terrible yr in part due to tannehill.. we re-sign stevie and get another WR, we have a solid TE in chandler and a very good slot guy in nelson and 2 RB's and draft some depth like hairston again on oline and our offense is instantly better. we need to go back to a 4-3 and put Wanny at D coordinator and we arent that far away from a good D especially if we can get 2 pass rushers.. 1 at DE and 1 at OLB which there are alot gonna be available..

  17. 110% YES... i love this kid.. if we cant get a top 3 QB hes the best of rest.. im sick of hearing the bozo post about tannenhill... keenum is the mid round guy to get if we dont land a top tier QB. keenum plays as a "system" qb but our offense is alot like a college "system" offense.. he has the height and ive watched every game he played this yr.. can make all the throws and kid is a gamer.. came back from a MAJOR injury and almost had a perfect season.. broke almost every record out there and hes no timmy chang or colt brennan.. has the size and leadership skills and is a better version of a kellen moore with less publicity.. im 100% sure after sitting a yr under fitz he can take over the reigns in 2013 and be a legit starter in gailey's offense.. gailey's O is much more similar to a college spread offense which is similar to what Keenum played in and wouldnt fit into a conventional O but would fit in PERFECTLY to gailey's system.. only problem i see.. if we have another crap yr, knowing our recent history, i dont think gailey gets a 4th yr if he has 3 bad yrs especially after the expectations after this team started so hot...

    GREAT POST

  18. whatever ur smoking.. send some over.. i watch every major qb prospects games.. i have every single sports package out there and DVR the games of all the top qb prospects and was very intrigued by him at start of yr but all yr during most broadcasts they have called him somewhat of a disappointment. i am all for drafting a top flight QB but tannehill would be the equivalent to the edwards experiment... show flashes of being an NFL qb and be booed out of town by yr 3... id rather draft D and a WR than him and get a later round prject QB like keenum.. keenum wont succeed in NFL in a conventional offense but under gailey shotgun oriented system, he could be a steal and probably could be had a few rounds later and let us focus on D. only QB's worthy of an early pick are the top 3 and MAYBE jones depending where we end up drafting

tannenhill also turned a lock of a 1st round WR in fuller into a mid round pick.. he had tons of weapons on O

  19. It about time some one noticed. I have been watching him for two years and he hasn't regressed he had no defense this year and then lost his running game when Cyrus Gray went down and any QB in that situation would "regress" if they had to carry the whole team. Have you watched the games, he isn't lost in the pocket and can make all the throws and can run like the wind. He way outperformed RG3 and is head shoulders above Jones and Barkely. The only QB better than him is Luck. This kid will be great in the NFL and in after 3 years he sucks I will say I was wrong.

  20. didn't say it would be easy it just hast to be done. My Guy is Ryan Tannehill who has all the tools necessary to be the franchise QB and we should be able to get him in the second.

shut up about tannenhill.. he will never be any good.. he regressed so bad this yr.. did u even watch him play?? he has great WR's and just kept losing.. hes lost in pocket and is a total project.. the guy has played QB for 1 yr.. if we use a pick on QB, it HAS to be one of the top 3 and MAYBE landry jones.. enough with tannenhill.. u dont shut up about him and hes no upgrade from fitz

  21. That's interesting how you mention time, given that Fitzpatrick has had almost no time to throw the ball and let plays develop. On top of that, Sanchez makes as many mistakes as Fitzpatrick, and messes up quite a few throws. Also, besides the problems on the offensive line, our receiving corps has been decimated, and there's little talent besides SJ and Nelson (in a possession role). It's absolutely unfair to say that Fitzpatrick can't have the level of playoff success as a guy like Sanchez, Dilfer, or numerous other average QBs who have relied on great defense and a running game. Give Fitz another year, add some weapons around him, and improve the defense. If he can't make the playoffs with that, then draft a first round QB. It's amazing how impatient people are, as frustrating as this team can be to follow.

to get a franchise QB u normally need to be a top 3 or 4 pick.. this is a VERY rare yr that there are 3 super kids out there and possibly a 4th depending on how u fell about jones. "time"... our line is not a bad pass protecting line and all our passes are like 2 step drops and he misses guys BAD and short dinky routes... no weapons?? we have a 6'7 TE in chandler who should be doing even better if they started throwing a few seam routes over the middle rather than just looking for him in red zone.. he has made some really nice catches over middle. Nelson is a very solid slot guy and a guy to move chains.. fitz is ALWAYS high or low on throws and very rarely hits guys in stride.. he gets his passes knocked down at the line 2-3 times a game. this is just reality and not being a homer. did u see how badly he missed haggan last week?? haggan had the DB beaten by 10 yards.. the bad was so underthrown that the DB had time to not only catch up, but make a play on ball. fitz would be the perfect mentor for a rookie QB and teach him the offense. u cant keep saying next yr for a QB. this is by far best draft class is yrs for QB's and this yr has proven that rookie QB's can produce right away and with gaileys system, it will be alot easier to succeed cuz its based on 1-2 reads rather than scanning whole field. they would be nuts not to make a QB in we can get RG3 or barkley... cuz most yrs, those guys would be gone by top 3 picks.. these guys all are better than stafford, bradford, alex smith, david carr coming out of college and they were all #1 overall picks.. no matter what this will be a better team next yr and we will not have a chance to draft a stud QB next yr
