UConn got it handed to them yesterday.

I mean he still has great accomplishments it’s just how many kids now are going to out up with his very rough around the edges style of coaching?  Especially with no real results.

He can lead himself to burnout

Let’s go St John’s!!!! If you haven’t watched the vice series on pitino—red storm rising—- its fantastic!,,

  2. Great women’s final today. Congrats to Madi getting her first major- defeating the big 3 to do so. Rybakina, Swiatek  (#2) and Sabalenka (world#1). 2 days earlier Swiatek had match point and Keys came back in 3rd set tie break to win. Today against sabalenka 7-5– in the 3rd set. Epic!!!

So, i've got a cold and i'm trying to shake it off and work through it, however, my wifes birthday is coming up in a few days and i'm planning on going away with her for about 4 days (everything is planned and booked, so there's no turning back now for refunds).

If it were up to me, i'd just stay in bed for the next 2 weeks, but that's not an option.

I need your "home" cold remedies to at least get me over the hump.

    What have you got........

Sudafed (have to get from the pharmacist).. it works almost too good. Gargle salt water. If congested- sinus rinse (Neto-pot) will help. Soup, tea, morning pastina with sugar, butter and milk

I am all for equality, including with prize money in tournaments, but we have a problem. If they women want equal pay they should have to play best of 5 sets. Sorry, that may be my jerk post of the day, but if we are going to be equal, then we should be equal, right? Equal pay for equal work.

Maybe I feel this way because Serena was the champion for equal play and after experiencing her in person on practice courts, I just plain don’t like her. One of the most dominant athletes of all time, men or women in any sport, but a Class A jerk in person. I guess you could say the say thing about Michael Jordan and others, but I was glad to see the “real Serena” come out a few years ago at the US Open when she was caught on camera yelling at the line judge “I’ll shove this ball up your @ss!”  That was the Serena we saw on the practice courts at the Miami tournament.

Men’s game takes too long. I don’t have 4 hours to watch a match. Best of 3 is more interesting. Major tournaments should change mens format - even djokavich (sp) agrees. Unless you sweep in 3 it’s like running a marathon every time you step on court- can dilute the quality of tennis being played. I pretty much only watch WTA

  5. I’ve had the ticket the last 3 years and enjoyed it- even at that cost. I prefer to be in my own home with a Clean bathroom & good food.

But giving it up this year- not worth my time and $$. don’t like changes the nfl has done over the years- extra game regular season, Thursday night games, expanded playoffs. Do I watch - yes- but there’s other things I can as well

  6. saw a lot of people were excited The Who would tour again. Saw them at Giants stadium- think it was 1989 or 1990 was a great show. But after the child porn arrest- can’t listen to him anymore. Do you really believe him? Also, comes across as so incredibly arrogant.  if pete really doesnt care about peoples opinions- why put himself in the public light so often? Obviously- doesn’t need the cash and could disappear. Really just interested to know why people still like this guy. Not trolling- just interested in peoples rationale. Thanks.

  7. I've lived in NYC most of my life, a devout Bills fan since the late 80s. I look at two bills drive way too much, and find it interesting when people comment that certain players or coaches couldn't handle the "big city" media. I think there are much more distractions in the big markets, ie Yankees, mets, basketball, another football team( giants)', tennis, marathons or millions of people who could care less about the athletics surrounding them. My point is I think Buffalo, and smaller markets are much more intense, the local population seems much more invested emotionally in the product and the media is most likely consumed by a higher percentage of passionate fans. My question, which media is tougher buffalo or NY? I vote buffalo.

  8. I find the Budweiser commercial totally un-relatable. With the Bills always finding a way to lose rather than win, I don't find that a specific or random unrelated act will help this team. Also, prayers have failed this team (with the exception to the fortunate recovery of Kevin Everett- although I don't want to get off topic). So my question is, 1) do you have any game day superstitions that you believe must be done to help the Bills win? and 2) if your doing these things-- please stop! you are jinxing us!!

  9. BBB and Ryan: You guys called it with Norm and Bill Burr...those were both GREAT! I can't believe how quick witted Norm is...he definitely has my sense of humor. He's already had me laughing aloud a few times and I've only listened to the Larry King one and the Kevin Nealon one. Bill Burr is someone I had heard OF, but never seen his show or heard his cast...I've only listened to last week's Monday Morning podcast, but it was a winner for sure.

Really lovin' this...wish there was more time in the day to listen, though! I'm just glad that if I don't catch John Murphy on the way home from work, I can get it knocked out in about 75 min on the podcast since it's stripped down to take out the commercials. Who needs tv when you have this great entertainment!

Can you talk a bit about each one and why you like it? I have so many on my list right now I'd love to pick your brain a bit more to get a feel for what each is all about

This American life has original stories. The premise is not that everyone has a story to say, but that you may have missed something, whether it's gangs in Chicago, relationship stories, it often gets me to laugh as well. Is generally broken into a few parts. Not always great, but 80 percent of the time.

Motley fool money, is partly informative and partly commedy. Lots of stupid guy banter, pretty fun and you keep inforMed on the market at large.

Frontline, this is the PBS show in audio. Maybe the best show on tv or podcast period. You will learn something

Tedtalks, focuses on a topic and you get expert opinion, research on it. Could be about broad topics on education, beauty. More philosophical than the other shows.

  10. Was reading an article on nfl.com where the commish mentioned trying to get more kids playing football. I know the nffl is patriotic and all, but I was on aware all ther research and 100s of millions were helping our military.

    "

We’re investing hundreds of millions of dollars to try to find out answers to some of the difficult questions we don’t know about the brain,” he said. “They’ll help not only football, but they’ll help every other sport and, frankly, our military.”

    Thoughts?
